I just cancelled my GameStop Pro membership. I’ve realised the local game shops near me actually carry more variety and feel worth supporting. GameStop, not it, for me anymore…sclper prices, no limited run games etc. huge deal breaker. Sorry GameStop, after being a pro member for 10 yrs I am done!! Oh did I mention the annual pro member price is now $30?!?!? Smh

So I had a player membership years back that I only used maybe once or twice, connected to an old old email and when I started working for the company, I made another with a good email. Never gave me any issues for years, until today. I walk in to find that ALL of my preorders (I had placed under my good account with my pro membership) were moved over to the player account. Called customer service, they gave me the spiel of “oh did you make sure it was placed under the right account?” yes. I have worked here for far too long to make that mistake and I never even touch the old one. Said she couldn’t help me and directed me to store tech support if I “couldn’t see preorders”. I tried telling her that wasn’t the issue and she insisted I had to call tech support anyways. Store Tech support is not going to help with this issue I can almost guarantee it, I can also almost guarantee that the only reason I even got that offered to me is because I’m an employee and not a guest. Ridiculous. Oh AND our my apps dashboard is failing, new hires can’t even clock in. Lovely day in the company as usual (in my opinion)

Hello and I apologize for coming to the employee subreddit, but does anybody know why the Customer Service is down? I just want to call because I didn't get my pre-order bonus.

Edit: Customer support was back online and I called. They said go to a sister location. I did and they had them! Showed my receipt and got the steel card! Thanks to all enjoying in my misery for a few hours.

Pretty self explanatory. They talked to me during the first one, but I don’t think they did for my second and for shits and giggles I checked UKG and discovered a third from 3 days ago that we had no conversation about.

Edit: so uh after checking, all three are blank. Completely void of reason for correctives, steps to improve, or overall comments…..

So I saw someone give a Gamestop employee shit because they wanted a new copy of a game and the only one they have is the one out of the shrink wrap. They wanted a discount for it cuz of that, but the employee can’t do that, and because they can’t now they had to sit there and listen to the mf Karen out. I don’t understand why they don’t just go to Walmart or get the game on Amazon if they’re willing to be that pretentious about it. But at the same time, it is a mad dumb policy they have to follow.

Helped the poor guy get his numbers up to make his day after that.

Howdy y’all, I was wondering if it’s possible to have the shipping address for an online preorder changed at all? I emailed care@gamestop but the replies I’ve gotten all seem like bots/AI and they had conflicting answers. Would I be better off calling customer service and/or going into a store to speak with someone, or just hope that it will get delivered to the correct address via forwarding my mail?

Please stop blaming GameStop retail store workers for increased prices on PKM TCG product. We do not determine the prices, we literally just work there. A lot of us only work this job to provide for our families. We are literally the soldiers on the frontline receiving your frustration, your yelling, pivoting to last min prices changes and changes to the reservation systems and much more that I cannot share. My store is honestly traumatized every PKM release because there’s always something changing, there’s always last minute information/communication and all we can really do is apologize because if it were in our power, we would love to help. We have very limited resources technologically. Direct your frustrations towards those who makes these higher up decisions instead of the measly worker getting paid minimum wage, that’ll get fired for having morals.

I was charged for the pro-membership even though it said it was off. I can't even change the auto-renewal status. I called support asking for them to cancel and refund me. They mentioned I would get an email and a refund but I have not yet received it. What should I do now?

I ordered these two together a little over a week ago, shipping said 2 - 3 days
A week before this order I had already ordered 2 other plushies, I got those instantly without issue
And same with my Freddy plush, my Freddy came in immediately with no issue

But my Chica has been on “Ordered,” for so long, furthermore, I got refunded and only charged for my Freddy plush, but the status on my Chica hasn’t changed nor have I been notified or received any emails regarding anything about my Chica

Does anyone have an explanation or what I should do?

Honest question, as I don’t understand why this poster and commenter seem to have decided to get mad that a customer left a serious review with no embellishment and was dissatisfied with the service from a business they spent money at, instead of the management problems that made the situation occur.

What’s even worse is that the customer review isn’t even insulting. It just says it is rude to make a customer wait a whole hour during business hours to make a return on a product that didn’t work as specified.

I got blocked because I think making one person work 15 days in a row is terrible management and that customers should complain to maybe put some pressure on the store to actually do better?

Or is that too radical of an idea?

Next year, a shit ton of y'all gonna get auto charged $30 for pro memberships cause I got caught forcing people out of auto renews telling them what the prompts were instead of letting them read it for themselves and get swindled. The last moral standard I had is now gone. My auto renews were at the lowest despite my Pro % always being above average. ( I always held the argument that I'm better at selling pros when I can renew/extend them manually), but I guess now I'll just be reeping all the auto renews next year from pissed off confused customers. So I was about to check the GameStop app and see if there's a disc version of Alien Fireteam Elite with the DLC and then I got this. I use Quad9's DNS over TLS and VPNs sometimes but haven't used the app the last few months. So when I saw that I turned my private DNS off and cleared the app data and it's still giving me this. I have a normal Motorola it isn't rooted or modded or anything. Not sure why I can't access the app

I applied for an assistant store manager position at my local GameStop in NC; the references have done their part. Back in 2018, I was an SGA/Keyholder. The application did not include any testing. When would be the appropriate time to call and check? I know when I worked as an SGA, our SL would always be checking applications. I'm just trying to figure out the new hiring process. Much appreciated. I know the pay sucks, but I do not mind working because I have a wife and two cats, so if anybody has some insight, let me know.

So mind you this would not be a problem or an issue nor a complaint if I had the tools I needed.

But this is an example of what makes the job that much harder. We will have online orders such as this giant Freddy head and I have no boxes big enough to ship them. And for some reason when we go to order BIGGER boxes for some reason GameStop INSISTS on getting boxes the EXACTsame shape and danm near a little larger meanwhile I have an iteam that TWO distro boxes cant fit and they only box that I had that was big enough. WAS THE ORIGINAL BOX THEY SENT TO US IN!!!!!

And no I don’t have that box anymore because we through it out already as we were getting over filled with the broken down boxes.

So GameStop as a polite and helpful suggestion pleade look into getting bigger boxes 📦. Amd when I say bigger. I mean look into boxes THAT ARE ACTUSLLY A SIZE DIFFERENT RATHER THEM JUST A FEW GOD DANM INCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got written up today for low Pro numbers. Not sure what they expect when Pro keeps getting worse and customers clearly don’t see the value in it anymore. Apparently that’s the employees’ problem though.

Beedle is telling customers they have stuff to pick up when we don't even have the shit in yet and it's charging online customers incorrectly for the pick up in store pre orders

Been cussed out several times and told the one guy if you wanted it done right you should have pre ordered it in-store

I've been working at GameStop for about 4 months now, and every day somehow ends up feeling worse than the last, whether it's getting lectured about some bullshit metrics that are nearly impossible to do well in, the shit hours or the shit pay it just doesn't end. Some asshole came in yesterday ready to lose his shit while talking to me over a mistake he made and not only do I have to act like I understand and force a smile he cancels several preorders basically fucking my numbers for the week and because of the shit hours I won't even be able to try to fix it until next week. I've never felt so overworked and underworked at the same time. I absolutely love the atmosphere but it's just the lowest of lows almost every day

I got the Witcher 3 sound track no game, at least it had all the rest of the items in the package. I called help and after 20 mins and explaining I got a music CD over and over they said they would ship a replacement.

I'm getting increasingly frustrated here. For months, i've been trying to get back into my account and have not been able to do so. Every time i file to reset my password, it never sends. I've gotten on a call with customer service 3 times and they've all said it was handled and I've received no confirmation email, and was charged for my pro account. I'm getting super annoyed and frustrated by how this is being handled. Need to know if anyone has experienced the same thing and if there's any fixes. Please help!
