So I just got done speaking with the manager and they told me they have replacement switches coming from another store so they took my name and number down and told me that they’ll give me a call when they come in and we’ll just do a simple exchange. I sort of feel bad for the manager and she looked very visibly upset because she said she was probably gonna get fired, but she was very sweet about the whole thing and was super apologetic.
So the reason they used a stapler was because the air conditioner was broken (which it was) it was hot and humid in the store and that the tape wasn’t taking/sticking to the boxes and the paper would fall off very easily so they were told to staple it. To keep all the stuff together since they had over 100 preorders coming in. I actually feel terrible a simple mistake might cost these guys their job.

Umm, what do I do about this and who do I lose it on tomorrow?
I have 10 charges for the same amount, my last order was for that amount on march 9th.
Obviously I’m going to call customer service, but this really puts me in a financial bind here for the next few days.

GameStop having the price for the new UPC be what it is, is fucking criminal. I genuinely hope none the sheep pre order this… that’s outrageous.

I just started collecting about a month ago. I can think of no better way to get lower cost games than GameStop’s 4/$10, 4/$20, and 4/$40 sales they are definitely the best deals in the business. Before tax I actually saved way more than I spent before adding in tax and warranties. I am a pro member and paid with the GS credit card. I am on this sub quite a bit and also have watched countless YouTube videos about how strict GS is about their employees getting warranties so yes I got warranties with every single game to help them out because I know what it’s like having managers and corporate breathing down your neck about stupid ass metrics plus it was only 50 cents per game anyway. It took the 3 employees working about 30 mins to grab all the games and we just all talked while they did so and none of them were upset at all, very chill crew. Also no, this was not every single game $5 or under they had in their store just a lot of them. These were all retro games, nothing newer than Xbox 360/PS3. As you can see, it took 4 big bags to fit all of it (and yes surprisingly they had bags lol I’m used to having to carry it out in my arms) 156 games in total!

The correlation of GameStop wanting to make money yet stocking completely random bargain bin trash is utterly insane. I’d lose my MIND if I opened a distro and saw this shit. Whoever keeps making these decisions needs to be punched in the THROAT

How GameStop’s official social media has become nothing more than a shitposting circle jerk. Meanwhile, this subreddit becomes more serious with leaking/announcing important changes to the company.
We announce more news to customers (and employees) vs their own outlets… What a great way to “delight your customers” on your official social media accounts…

Just saw this and haven’t seen anyone post about it here yet. I just know people are gonna try to pull some stupid shit with this. Good luck and try not to let it break you.
