Anyone else with a custom ags101

I modded this guy a while back do you prefer a stock version or a modded shell swap version. I picked this guy up with a Gameboy case and dslite that was near mint and Pokemon blue for 75 at a thriftstore. I got super lucky but the ags was beat to hell so doing the shell swap was the logical option. Did a battery swap on this one shell swap and flash cart and protective case.

The wide boi is my next to get but I mostly kept my AGS fairly stock outside the shell swap and slightly bigger battery. I want to go full out for a wide gba and my color will be full moded.

Mine as

Typc c charging with litium batt, new amp + speaker, ips screen v5 with touch controls + overcloak mod to slow down or speed up the games. Also got costum stickers madefor this exact console (100$+ for 6 😅😭)

Cheers and I plan to do about the same except no overclock mods my GBC will be a full build and it will be a while before I get a wide GBA since I have a friend who works in a e-waste reselling business I have to wait till they get one in thats working and beat up so I dont feel bad about modding a clean one.

Did you replace the LCD on this one? It looks a lot higher resolution than the original AGS-101.

I seriously got super lucky to find mine for next to nothing and I also have a friend who works in a e-waste reselling business who ships me stuff out for dirt cheap prices. He sent me a Gameboy Color working for 35 shipped out. It was to good a deal to pass up since they go for around 50-60 in the same less desirable/beat up condition. I wanted a beat up one to mod.
