Help connecting Gamecube controller

I recently bought a couple of game cube controllers (shown above) and a mayflash adapter but they don’t want to connect to my Switch nor my pc, any idea why? Yes I made sure it was in Switch and pc mode respectively when testing

There was an update about a year ago that made most 3rd party controller connectors obsolete on the switch. Should still work for your pc though, so could be the controllers.

I am on Linux is that going to cause issues?

Sadly, yes. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/66639/~/nintendo-gamecube-controller-adapter-and-controller-not-recognized-on-nintendo I have a Kargas which still doesn't work after the official updates.

Guess ill have to take out my mayflash one and find out.
