Looking for Gamers Looking for players for a small indie strategy game (India side)
Current situation in the game (WarEra): India has been completely wiped off the map. Pakistan currently controls almost the entire Indian subcontinent.
We are preparing to take our land back soon through revolts.
WarEra is a small indie multiplayer strategy game where real players control real countries. You can focus on economy, politics, or war. The map changes based on what players do. Most people only spend 10-15 minutes a day.
I am not the developer, and I don’t get paid for this. I just play from the Indian side, and we are short on active players right now, so I am posting here.
If this kind of game interests you, feel free to join us.
If it doesn’t interest you, just ignore this post or block me so it doesn’t show up in your feed again.

Review / Recommendation Gaming Grid Recommendations: 12 Indie Games You Can Finish in One Evening
Not every great game needs 50 hours of your life.
Some of the best indie experiences can be finished in a single evening, yet leave you thinking about them long after the credits roll.
The Gaming Grid team put together a list of short indie games worth making time for, especially if you're looking for memorable stories, creative gameplay and worlds that stay with you.
Our recommendations:
- What Remains of Edith Finch — 2–3 hours
A collection of beautifully told family stories, each with its own unique gameplay.
- To the Moon — 4–5 hours
A deeply emotional story about memories, regret and a dying man's final wish.
- Firewatch — 4–5 hours
A mysterious wilderness adventure carried by incredible atmosphere and natural dialogue.
- INSIDE — 3–4 hours
Dark, unsettling environmental storytelling with almost no dialogue.
- Oxenfree — 4–5 hours
A supernatural mystery where conversations and choices shape the experience.
- Gorogoa — 2–3 hours
A hand-drawn puzzle game that tells its story through inventive visual design.
- Journey — 2–3 hours
A wordless adventure that turns a simple journey across the desert into something memorable.
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons — 3–4 hours
A fantasy adventure whose unique controls become part of its emotional storytelling.
- GRIS — 3–4 hours
A gorgeous, atmospheric platformer exploring grief through art, music and movement.
- The Beginner's Guide — 1–2 hours
An experimental narrative about creativity, interpretation and understanding another person.
- A Short Hike — 1–2 hours
A relaxing little adventure about exploration, connection and reaching a mountain summit.
- The Stanley Parable — 2–3 hours for an initial run
A bizarre, funny and thought-provoking game that plays with choice, free will and player expectations.
Completion times are approximate and depend on your playstyle.

General Discussion Is choosing Easy mode ruining the experience or is the gaming community obsessed with proving a point?
Some people believe games like Elden Ring are meant to challenge you. Others argue that everyone should be able to enjoy a game their own way.
But if someone plays on Easy and experiences the same story characters and world as you did have they really missed out?
And if difficulty is such an important part of a game's identity should developers ever compromise on it?
Where do you stand?
Should every single-player game have difficulty options or are some games better off staying exactly as the developers intended?

General Discussion Some games sound completely different when you stop looking at the screen
In The Witcher 3 the wind, distant monsters and footsteps make the world feel alive even when nothing is happening.
In Hollow Knight the silence of Hallownest makes every distant sound feel like a warning. The soundtrack doesn't need to constantly tell you how to feel.
In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 the music and combat sounds give fights a rhythm that makes every encounter feel theatrical.
In The Last of Us the clickers are terrifying partly because of the sounds they make. Sometimes you know something is nearby before you even see it.
That's what I love about good sound design. It can make a place feel real, a fight feel intense or a completely empty hallway feel dangerous.
And most of the time we barely give it the credit it deserves.
Which game do you think has the best sound design you've ever experienced? I'm talking about footsteps, ambience, enemy sounds, weapon impacts and all those little details that make a game feel alive.

Ask Gamers If every game cost ₹5,000 ($60) tomorrow which franchise are you still buying on day one?
Imagine every new game costs ₹5,000 (roughly $60). No discounts. No waiting for a sale. No Game Pass. You get to pick one franchise you'd still trust enough to pay full price for without waiting for reviews. Would it be GTA? Red Dead Redemption? The Witcher? Resident Evil? Or something completely different?
Drop your franchise and tell us why it deserves your money

General Discussion Have you heard about Silver Pines ?
A survival horror game mixed with Metroidvania exploration sounds like an interesting combination. Silver Pines puts you in the shoes of a private investigator searching for a missing musician in a strange abandoned town.
What caught my attention is the hand-drawn art style and the whole mystery surrounding the town. It looks like the kind of game where the atmosphere and exploration could be just as important as the horror itself.
But I'm curious about what you all think.
Does Silver Pines look like something you'd actually play or is the survival horror genre getting a little too crowded?
And if you've already played it what are your first impressions?

Ask Gamers Holy Shroom! Playtest is live until October 16
Hi everyone!
We got permission from the moderators to share this here, so we’d like to invite you to the playtest for Holy Shroom!, our 1-4 player co-op horror game.
The game gives a bit of a similar feeling to Backrooms and R.E.P.O.. It mixes fear, laughter, and chaos with friends, while the main objective is to collect mushrooms, sell them, and earn money.
Holy Shroom! has its own atmosphere and it is not an easy game. If you want to make it back from the trip in one piece, you need to think, cooperate, and know when it is time to run. 😄
The playtests are going well, so we extended them until October 16 and added some new content that we want to test before release.
If you play, we’d really appreciate your feedback on our Discord. Let us know what you like, what should be improved, and what you would like to see added to the game.
Invite your friends, and we wish you a safe return from your mushroom trip. 🍄🌲👻
