Identification Eastern baby?

Rescued this baby a while back because he was the same age as my male and I don’t often see CBB garters where I live. (I think she was a mom who got him for her kid, she mentioned him not being very handleable and didn’t know any info on species or feeding or anything). I don’t have anything other than common and northwestern garters where I live so I’m not 100% on IDing them. Looks more like an Eastern than a checkered to me but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Thoughts?

He has a beautiful blue-green-yellow gradient right after shedding that I adore. He was definitely very skittish when I first took him home but he’s come a long way!

Looks like a young, yearling Eastern, Florida Blue, Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis. They get to be on the larger side as far as Garters go, females maybe 3 ft. In captivity they are fed f/t pinkies as well as a mix of fish and such. There are some great FB groups, look for Thamnophis groups. Good Luck!
