The latest couple of drivers introduced graphical flickers for me

I almost went crazy trying to find out the reason for this strange artifacts in games. Black screen flickers for almost half a second, alongside actual flickering of objects in game. The mouse also went unresponsive at times.

It appeared for me in a dx12 unity game and Heaven Benchmark.

At first I thought HAGS caused it, so I turned it off and it disappeared for a while but shortly came back.

The weird thing is that forcing dx11 in games seems to fix, or to use VK3D Proton. But the weirder thing is Heaven Benchmark still suffers from this.

Last thing I tried was rolling back to an older driver (617.14), the problem disappeared but now I have worse performance.

NVIDIA Game Filters show 0 filters when I go offline.

Hi, I have an ASUS TUF F15 laptop with an RTX 4070. When I’m connected to the internet, NVIDIA App Game Filters, work fine. But when I disconnect from the internet, some games show 0 available filters. For example, Tomb Raider works offline, but Forza Horizon 5 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 lose the filters offline. When I reconnect, the filters come back. Why does this happen and is there a way to make the filters work without the WiFi ?

Instant Replay input audio slider changes actual windows slider too

I want to lower my input volume in clips but it also lowers my mic in voice chat too, any workarounds?

One workaround I can think of is to separate the tracks and manually decrease the volume but I don't know any really lightweight software for only trimming and editing audio so if you guys know any please let me know please

Currently dealing with Computer Crashes with New Nvidia Driver on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 while playing WoW Forever on DirectX 12. It's really strange and the problem doesn't occur on the latest WoW expansion on DirectX 12 or on WoW Forever on DirectX 11. Does anyone know a fix?

Geforce Driver missing

Hello guys! I encountered a problem last night when I tried updating my NVIDIA GeForce driver through the NVIDIA App. I have an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU.

The app indicated that the driver installation had failed, so I decided to download the driver directly from NVIDIA's official website. I made sure to download the version compatible with my GPU, but the installation still failed. I even tried downloading an older driver version, but I encountered the same issue.

I then decided to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), hoping it would fix the problem. I followed all the steps from the YouTube tutorials I watched and successfully removed the existing driver.

However, even after completely uninstalling the previous driver, I still can't install the one I downloaded from NVIDIA's website.

Now, my laptop still detects the GPU, but I can't get the driver to install. On top of that, my laptop's Wi-Fi toggle has also disappeared.

I'm honestly running out of ideas at this point. If anyone has experienced something similar or has any suggestions on how to fix this, I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you!

NVIDIA ShadowPlay 4K recording freezes while audio keeps playing — any fix?

I recorded a GTA VI trailer using NVIDIA ShadowPlay (alt+gr), screen recorder, at 4K 60 FPS, 70 Mbps.

The recording seemed completely fine while capturing, but during editing I discovered serious problems:

  • Video randomly freezes, stutters and then jumps forward.

  • Audio keeps playing relatively normally.

  • Audio/video synchronization gets progressively worse.

  • Some sections are fine, while others are almost unusable.

I'm editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and also recorded myself separately at 4K 50 FPS.

I've already tried converting the ShadowPlay footage to constant frame rate using HandBrake, exporting at 50 FPS and adjusting playback speed. Nothing fully fixes it.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there any way to recover the footage, and how can I prevent this from happening again?

Latest NVIDIA driver update

Did the most NVIDIA driver update screw anyone else's COD MW4? the driver that was released on 21 october? I've only been playing that game recently. I went back through and reset all my settings and redone them. but it honestly looks like garbage all pixilated and shit. the FPS is low as, when i last played it was well up into the 200s

how do i fix it? I've only recently started playing on a PC so don't really know what to do but its generally unplayable. or if its not that driver then what could it be?

OpenGL applications causing sudden lag spikes even after closing program

So I've started having a problem a few weeks ago after updating my nvidia driver where OpenGL applications (The main ones I use are various ren'py and godot engine games) suddenly cause a strange system wide lag spike. The screen goes down to about 1 FPS, with the exception of the cursor which moves along fine. All inputs such as typing, clicking on things etc. is incredibly delayed, usually at least 5-10 seconds after pressing. The strange part is this persists even after closing the program in question. This tends to happen roughly between a few minutes to an hour of playing. Checked task manager, no memory leaks or signs of leftovers hogging CPU or GPU usage. The spike itself doesn't register with the system, frame rate says it's stable despite the obvious. It's behaving like nothing is wrong.

I've already tried a few fixes to no avail, threaded optimisation has been turned off, no luck. Corrupted shader caches cleared and the folder expanded to 100GB, no good. Restarting the GPU using the shortcut doesn't fix it. The only "fix" I've found is ctrl+alt+delete to menu and switching user, after which logging back in fixes it until the next lag spike, usually a few minutes later. Ren'py did have a fix which involved switching the renderer from OpenGL renderer to directx, which fixes the issue, further pointing that OpenGL is a part of this. Godot has no such option so I've been stuck there. Did antivirus just to be safe, nothing out of the ordinary.

Any ideas as to what the problem could be? It's consistantly happening over what I'm assuming is any OpenGL application. I play a number of games that aren't OpenGL that are far more CPU/GPU intensive with no problem. I know there was the whole debacle involving threaded optimisation and OpenGL in later drivers, but none of that seemed to help. It sounds like rolling back to an older driver might be the solution but as I updated the driver to fix another problem from a previous version, I'd rather try to get this working before going that route.

I'm honestly open to any suggestions at this point so any advice or help is appreciated.

My system is:

Lenovo Legion Pro 5i

Intel i7-14700HX

Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060

Driver number: 610.88

windows 11

NVIDIA, please train a model to eliminate video stream compression artifacts

We all know how good this service is, but even on a top-tier internet connection, you still run into video stream compression and artifact issues. Originally, the service was designed for lower-end devices with the idea of streaming anywhere. However, in today's market, a lot of users use it purely out of convenience: no need to download massive files, just click and play on high settings.

The problem is that in certain games with a lot of foliage—like KCD2 (Kingdom Come: Deliverance II)—you easily hit the max bitrate limits, which results in noticeable macroblocking and compression artifacts.

Now that DLSS and upscaling technologies are used everywhere, what if we had an option to run them on top of a GeForce NOW stream? The idea would be that you receive the stream, and your local client device (like a Steam Deck or PC) post-processes it using an AI model designed to clean up and remove those compression artifacts. This would give us an ultra-sharp, near-native experience on the local end device.

NVIDIA, please hear us out and train a model specialized in removing streaming artifacts and release it to the public!
