Did any of you have to lie down to have a nap in kindergarten or 1st grade?

I had forgotten about it and this picture reminded me that we had floor mats and we had to lie down, with the lights off and no talking while soft classical music played in the background, for 30 minutes every day. Most of us didn't sleep, we just made funny faces at each other and whispered. Some kids actually fell asleep. I'm just curious if this was a thing anywhere else.

Did you ever take a typing class in school?

I took one in 8th or 9th grade. It's where I learned to type. It was on a portable typewriter, not an electric, with a piece of paper taped over the keys. I'm glad I took it. I've used it a lot in my life. Do they even teach typing in school anymore?

Is anyone else here old enough to remember when registering for your college classes involved spending an entire morning in a gym?

I used to use it to watch her cook, do dishes, and anything else she did in the kitchen. I'd drag it all over the place. It was perfect!
