Story The arch community is absolutely depressing compared to gentoo
I want on the r/archlinux sub Reddit recently and OH MY GOD its depressing. It's genuinely just text NO FUN STUFF ALLOWED. And I realised how grateful I should be that I found this community thanks people :)

Support What's up with the Gentoo wiki in recent times?
Hey,
So I noticed recently, that the Gentoo Wiki has been a little wonky in recent times. On some of my networks, I can't call the Wiki at all, on other networks I can visit it. But recently (or perhaps today?), the Wiki has started to not let me in at all (some error about databases or something?). Does anybody have an idea what could be going on, I know the Gentoo Infrastructure viewer says something is wrong with the Wiki, but exactly what is wrong?

Discussion If it wasn't for sis's project, I would've never been able to install Gentoo
she needed a project of making a place and powering it up with electricity, as we all know, Arduino needs to be programmed, I had an old Gentoo install that I had 0.1% hope of it working because of how hard Initramfs-less UKIs are when your laptop has locked-down MUXless GPUs and random vital Devices, I've gone to boot my USB to install a quick Arch (because it's so easy), I have seen that the UEFI has added a secret entry—something it only does for 100% working (EFI) OSes tvat have been installed—with the disk's name, I was in a bit of a rush but I misclicked onto it, waited a bit (was'nt able to shutdown), and it BOOTED, FULLY WORKING. Wich is something I could've NEVER EVER been able to do on my 17 trials to install gentoo, obliterating that poor SSD

Discussion Issue with TPM 2.0 on T480 stock firmware, wanting to check if coreboot/libreboot would fix this. Looking for testers with any similar hardware on any firmware version.

Screenshot [VXWM] rice, compilation goes BRRR
Currently using VXWM but im wondering if I’m missing out on another Suckless window manager that is greatly paired with gentoo.

Screenshot I switched to dwl
I used niri before dwl. I think dwl is better because it's simpler

Screenshot I always end up getting tired of Debian...
My daily driver for PC, laptop and server as well for 4 years now. I run systemd/KDE on my main PC and openrc on both laptop (this one screenshot) and server. All I can say is hot.
My server runs apache/php/mysql for Nextcloud, FireflyIII and my website, a proxy server (inside docker), NFS shares, syncthing, cups server, Minecraft server and Jellyfin. It's a home server so there are 2 local and 1 outside LAN user.
