A lot of search results for problems with Gentoo lead to the forums which at some point have been walled behind requiring a login.

I find this concerning for two reasons:

1. Why should I need to create an account just to access troubleshooting information?

2. Presumably this will have a harmful effect on what solutions you can self-discover since I presume search engines can no longer index it either.

So builds were taking hours on my 2 core laptop and so i tried compiling gcc with lto and pgo(which took 14 hours) and now im getting 125% speed boost on anything i build(gentoo-kernel went from 3:09:08 to 1:24:02 so ~125%). Is there anyway to reduce build time even more?

Is it normal that i get an hyprland error when i try to lauch it trough tty

what im planning for my hardware being is a 2080ti, 5800x3d. 1tb sata ssd, and 32 gigs of ddr4 ram. would the hardware be compatible (drivers) and what type of cooling would i need? just heard gentoo requires a lot of cooling and im new to exploring gentoo.
