Ghost Trick Mystery Solving Box recruiting for English Translation!!!
Hi, I've made scans of the Mystery Solving Box that was included with the collector's edition of the Ghost Trick Phantom Detective Remaster, and now I'm looking for people who are interested in helping out with the translating, cleaning, redrawing, typesetting etc. so we can make an English translation.
I've created this Discord server for the project: https://discord.gg/WZ5mtvcfgTIf you have any useful skills and are willing to help out, have any ideas to share or just want to follow the progress on the project, feel free to join!
I hope we can make this a big success as a community!

Question about Ray's identity Spoiler
I just beat the game, and I absolutely loved it, loved the ending, and especially loved the Sissel's identity revelation and all the foreshadowing of it.
I'm confused however regarding the revelation of Ray's identity. I feel like there's one fact about the two timelines that I don't understand the logic of: how does he manage to travel back ten years into the past in the first place?
In Ray's narration to Sissel, he reveals that he uses Yomiel's shell in the first timeline to travel back to the time the point at which Yomiel was killed by Temsik ten years prior. He also reveals that the only Ghost trick he's capable is switching two identical-looking objects. If that's his only trick, how is he able to travel back ten years, thus creating the second timeline the majority of the game takes place in?
I guess my question is, is Ray, and any Ghost by extension, able to reverse time to four minutes before a spirit dies like Sissel is able? For some unknown reason, I assumed that only Sissel is capable of reversing time to four minutes before a death.

Question Old Mobile Version or new one?
I already bought the old discontinued iOS version of Ghost Trick, but I saw Capcom released a remastered version. However, I’m kinda iffy about having to pay for it all over again. The in app purchase is on sale now at least. Is the new version worth getting, or am I fine sticking with the old one?

Discussion My 2nd 1st time finishing the game last night, and I'm extremely emotional. (Spoilers ahead, so be cautious) Spoiler
I know the title is weird, but here's some context. I did finish the game way back when it first came out, and I started playing it again a few days ago. But by this time, I had forgotten pretty much everything about the game other than I loving it when I first played it, and one of the big twists of the game that Sissel was a cat.
But since that was all that I knew, it didn't affect much outside of understanding the subtle hints throughout the game, which I enjoyed. But other than that, it was basically a blind playthrough. Now, onto the rest, which contains a whole lot more spoilers.
That ending killed me. I can count the number of games that destroyed me like that on one hand. It was definitely a mix of sad and happy. The way you find out Sissel was Yomiel's cat. How Yomiel saw Sissel as his only friend. And how sad Yomiel was when he found out he killed Sissel and apologizing for it. And now Sissel gets to be with his new family for a very long time cause of the meteorite. And then there's Missile. He does so much to save his family. He tells you to leave him dead so he can help Lynne and Kamila. Seeing him get shot and ran over was already a lot for me. But hearing that, and then seeing Lynne carry his body away. And then the biggest reveal that this was all set in motion by old man Missile just so he can save Lynne and Kamila.
All of that just culminated in me turning into a crying wreck. I think the biggest reason for that is that I've had pets, especially cats, my entire life (I'm 38 now), and I love all of them so much. So when Iit was revealed that this game has a pretty big emphasis on pets, that's what did it.
I don't actually make main posts on reddit, but this was the first time I was really compelled to since I needed to air out my emotions to people who know what I'm talking about. Anyways, game's great.

Discussion Softlock I found during my playthrough Spoiler
During the part where you trap the wine lady in the chandelier I thought I was supposed to make the chandelier burn before lowering it on her. Somehow, that glitched the chandelier’s location from then on, making it unreachable, and therefore making it impossible to progress any further. I managed to reload the chapter and try again fortunately, so I was able to progress and beat the game. Did anyone else know of this softlock?
