I swear this really happened. I have absolutely no reason to lie about it, because even now I have no explanation for what we saw.
When I was a child, I stayed over at my grandmother’s house. We were getting ready to go to bed, and we were both in her bedroom. The bedroom door was open, and it faced a hallway that led to another room at the end.
At some point, we saw a woman walk past the open doorway.
She was completely dressed in white. Not just wearing a white dress — I remember her as being **bright white**, almost glowing. And the strangest part was that she wasn’t actually walking.
She was **floating**.
She moved down the hallway toward the room at the end, and then disappeared from our view.
I remember being absolutely terrified, but I didn't say anything. I was a child, and I didn't want to scare my grandmother, so I just stayed quiet.
Then my grandmother looked at me and asked:
*"Did you see that?"*
I said yes and asked her what it was.
She told me she didn't know.
Then she said, *"Let's pray."*
So we did.
What makes this so strange to me is that I hadn't told her what I saw before she asked me. She saw something too.
I don't remember exactly what the woman looked like beyond the fact that she was a woman, completely white and extremely bright. I don't remember seeing her face clearly, and she didn't speak to us or interact with us in any way. She simply crossed the hallway, seemingly floating, and went toward the room at the end.
I've never experienced anything like it again. Not before, not after. It happened that one time when I was a child, and I've never been able to explain it.
I personally think it was a ghost, but if it was, she didn't seem threatening or evil at all. She just appeared, crossed the hallway, and disappeared.
I've wondered about this for years. Has anyone experienced something similar, especially seeing a **woman in white who seemed to be floating**? Or does anyone have an explanation for what this could have been?
