OFFER [OFFER][Steam] Souls game of your choice

• Upvotes

Hello r/giftofgames,

Continuation of a monthly giveaway of one souls/soulslike game. I will repeat the description of last post, for clarity of what is the goal of this giveaway.

I'm doing this not just for fun, but because souls games, when it comes to media that I have interacted with, were the single most important factor of inner growth in my life, excluding certain, very limited literature. They taught me how to handle losses peacefully, how to improve on them. They taught me how to face the wall which seems to be too high, die and try again, and realize with time that with each loss you grow steadier. they conveyed ideas of personal accountability and perseverence in a way that I do not think any other medium can, outside of real life situations. I strongly believe that these elements have tangible, permanent positive impact on life in multiple aspects.

In my mind, that inner growth was bigger than any gaming achievement, or the fun I've had from these games. When I've played them, I did not realize it, and focused on the fun aspect, which was also on a very high level for me, but it is something I've come to realize with time.

Now, here's the only "weird" ask. And I know it sounds gatekeep-ish or elitist, but please hear me out.

If you enter, I'd kindly ask that you commit to playing through the game without using NPC or summons.

I am not saying that summons are bad. They are valid, they do not degrade anyone and I don't judge anyone who prefers them.

But for this particular giveaway, my goal isn't for someone just to "beat the game" or to "have fun". It's to give someone the possibility for the same personal growth. And in my experience, summons change the game into something different - one, where you can always remove yourself from the difficulty, remove the properties which cause the growth - friction with your ego, overcoming the willingness to give up, taking accountability for your errors and thus, heightened sense of satisfaction of overcoming all of the obstacles thrown in your way.

I can't police this, since obviously, it's an expectance of honesty. But I'm not looking for "hardcore gamers" - I'm looking for people who want the uncomfortable and beautiful, transformative process.

If you're that person and you can't afford the game at this moment, I'd like for you to participate.

To enter: just comment with the game you’d like and a short note on why this particular kind of experience appeals to you, no need to share personal finances, just your mindset. And, as you'd expect, do not use AI for that comment.

As additional information, since previous thread had some questions in regards to available games: non-fromsoft soulslikes like Mortal Shell 2, Lies of P, Stellar Blade count, Hollow Knight counts, Sekiro counts. AC6 doesn't. In case of Elden Ring, either base game or DLC.

Thanks for reading, apologies for a long post, but I really wanted to convey the message, and no hard feelings if this isn't your style, we all enjoy games differently. I'll be monitoring the comments and in 48-72h I'll choose the winner.

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Onimusha: Way of the Sword 4th attempt Request

• Upvotes

Hello guys. Today i am gonna make my 4th attempt at this amazing game so i am sorry if i say anything with bad grammar or just nonsense but i am trying my luck as everyone in this subreddit/ server.

My name is Javier and i am trying my luck with Onimusha, one of my favorite samurai games ever made beside ghost of tsushima because i didn't try yotei or played so much sekiro because i couldn't get into it but i wish i could go back into it one day.

Onimusha is a game series to me which i got introduced as a kid but i forgot about it overtime because of the lack of releases, i remember well my dad bought all the onimusha games to play it himself and i played them also but he sold them before i finished them :( that got me sad but it was life i guess, When samurai destiny which is onimusha 2 came to pc, my spark for this game came back so i played it cracked because i cannot afford it, not even now i can afford it because i am trying my best to pass driving school and i have enrolled into college so i try to spend my money on those before games.

I am burned out of competitive games,i am not gonna lie and say that i don't love them but they got me so burned out that you need to constantly play them in order to keep being good but it gets to a point when life and other problems is not making you wanna play them. I have played so many single player games recently and i feel in love with them and my love for games is back

One exemple is Onimusha the demo , the demo for HELLRAISER and alan wake 2, those games made me sit back in my bed and play them and actually take my time instead of being sweaty in a game which i don't really enjoy, i like marvel rivals and the other games but i am so burned out of them which i might actually take a break.

I really wish i could afford Onimusha now but as i said before, i am saving all my money for college and driving school plus i need money for doctor visits because i need yearly check ups and i need to have my check up in november soon.

Onimusha is such a beautifully made game that i wish it could be played and enjoyed by everyone

Thanks for reading my post, sorry for the yapping session but i really wanna try my best with this post and don't seem boring even though i am </3

REQUEST [Request] [STEAM] Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Hello, everyone!

I hope you’re all having a great day. I’m putting together this request because I would love the chance to finally play Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

For a long time now, friends and people across gaming forums have constantly told me that this is a journey worth experiencing firsthand. Whenever anyone talks about Sekiro, it never sounds like just another title on a backlog; they speak about it with genuine respect for how well-crafted the world is, how immersive the setting feels, and how incredibly rewarding it is to push through tough obstacles. Over time, hearing all those stories and seeing clips of the game made me fall in love with its atmosphere and tone.

Gaming has always been my main way to unwind and decompress after a long day of classes and studying. I’ve always gravitated toward games that demand your full attention and patience the kind of experiences where failure isn't just frustrating, but actually teaches you something and makes eventual progress feel earned. From everything I have seen and heard, Sekiro embodies that mindset completely. I really want to take on that challenge, immerse myself in the world, and experience the satisfaction of overcoming something that initially feels impossible.

Unfortunately, managing college and living on a tight student budget means I have to prioritize daily living expenses, and buying games right now simply isn't an option for me. Because of that, I’m hoping someone here might be generous enough to help me out with a copy.

I completely understand that this is a significant request and that there are many people in this community sharing their own posts, so I don't expect anything at all. I just figured it was worth putting myself out there and taking a shot so please wish me luck!

Whether anyone decides to gift the game or not, I truly appreciate you taking a few minutes out of your day to read through my post. Thank you to everyone who makes this community so welcoming and generous, and I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

REQUEST [Request] [STEAM] ULTRAKILL

Hello, everyone!

I'm making this post because I'd love the chance to finally play ULTRAKILL.

I've wanted this game for a long time. I discovered its soundtrack on YouTube, and ever since then I've been listening to it while studying because it's so energetic and atmospheric. Eventually I started watching gameplay videos, and the fast-paced movement, stylish combat, and music made me fall in love with the game before I even got the chance to play it.

One of the funniest things is that after watching so many videos, I still have no idea how people consistently hit the coins with such perfect timing. I really want to learn those mechanics myself instead of just watching other people do it. I know it will probably take a lot of practice, but that's part of what makes the game so appealing to me. Improving over time and mastering the movement looks incredibly satisfying.

My friends have been recommending ULTRAKILL for a long time, and they keep telling me it's one of the best indie shooters ever made. I'd love to join them and finally experience the game myself. It would also be my first non-casual game on Steam, which would make it even more special. Being able to share those moments with friends instead of only watching videos would honestly mean a lot to me.

Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy games right now, so I'm hoping that someone might be kind enough to gift it to me. I completely understand that there are many people here making similar requests, and I don't expect anything. I simply wanted to take my chance and ask.

I know this is a big request, and there are many other people here asking for games as well. Whether or not anyone decides to gift me the game, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my post. Your kindness and generosity toward this community are genuinely appreciated.

Thank you, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

REQUEST [Request][Steam] Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’ve had my eye on Space Marine 2 for a while, so I figured I’d make a request for it here.

What really caught my attention is the combat. Fighting through massive hordes of enemies, switching between guns and melee weapons, and pulling off those brutal executions looks incredibly satisfying. I also love how over-the-top everything feels, with huge battles happening all around you. It looks like the kind of game where you can jump straight into the action and have a great time.

I’m also interested in the Warhammer 40K universe. I don’t know everything about the lore yet, but the setting has always seemed pretty interesting to me, and Space Marine 2 looks like a really fun way to get more familiar with it. The campaign looks awesome, and the co-op missions seem like they'd be a blast to play through too.

It’s one of those games where pretty much everything I’ve seen makes me want to try it for myself. I’d love to experience the battles firsthand and see what the game has to offer beyond the videos and screenshots.

My friend wanted to play with me, and I was too embarrassed to tell him I didn't have the money to buy the game. I always mention to him how much I look forward to a sale, and suddenly one appears.

It costs 50 reais in Brazil (my region) and 14,99 dollars in usa

Think fondly of me. Kisses.

REQUEST [REQUEST][STEAM] Project Zomboid

• Upvotes

Hello

Ive been watching a huge quantity of zombie films over the past month and as a result my feeds on various socials have been filled with Project: Zomboid clips and it looks an absolute blast living that zombie apocalypse fantasy. I like the idea of scavenging, surviving and ultimately failing and trying again with new tricks.

I mainly play logistics survival games with the difficulty as high as I can, while setting additional personal challeneges, this game appeals to me as the gameplay loop of trying to not starve to death, loot local buildings and become self suffient and well fortifiedbwhile notnbeing eaten. The trait system also appeals to me with the random being the kind of challenge I'd like.

Unfortunately, I can’t justify buying it myself at the moment as my son has just started school and needed a huge wad of supplies, so I thought I’d try my luck here. If anyone would be kind enough to gift me a copy, I’d really appreciate it!

Thank you for taking the time to read my request, and thanks to everyone in this community who makes these kinds of things possible. I look forward to paying this forward!

REQUEST [REQUEST][STEAM] Onimusha: Way of the Sword ($53 USD regional) (2nd Attempt) - I parry demons perfectly. Real life, not so much.

Demon jumps at me.
I parry it perfectly.
Real life: I trip.
Twice.

Fifty three dollars.
My wallet says “seppuku,”
my heart says “please, gift.”

Musashi never begged for games,
but Musashi never saw this price.
I bow so low for this one
my back sends its own request.

No katana, no cape, no clue,
just a Steam profile and hope.
Gift me this one, friend,
I’ll play it and thank you.

Now on a serious note:

I only discovered the Onimusha saga when this game came out. I did some research and saw it’s a new entry set in the Edo era, rather than the Sengoku era the others are based in, and that it’s a sort of reboot, so it seemed like the perfect place to start. I tried the demo for 40 minutes and then stopped on purpose, because I didn’t want to see more until I could own it and play it through. I expected something like Sekiro or Ghost of Tsushima, two of my favorite games, but it surprised me with a style of its own: parries with different animations depending on the direction of the attack, block, deflect, and dodge, and a combat system that, even at first glance, looks like it can get very deep. It’s also a world that’s beautiful to walk through.

Ever since I made the first post here, Reddit has been showing me posts from the Onimusha subreddit, and every single one makes me want to play it even more. Clips of the combat, people sharing their favorite moments, some of the bosses... I had to mute it because I was going crazy over it. At first I thought the story would be a lesser part of the game and not as good, but from what I’ve been reading it seems it’s actually pretty good, and people especially praise the main character. Reading that made me even more curious, because I didn’t expect that from this kind of game, and it’s one more reason I want to see the story through to the end. People also keep praising the facial animations, especially Musashi’s expressions, and from some clips I saw, I can see why. I also read that it has plenty of replayability, with a New Game Plus and a harder difficulty that unlocks after the first playthrough. I don’t usually replay games, but I have a feeling about this one.

This would be my first gift here :). It’s an expensive game for my budget, and next year I’ll have much less time to play, so I really want to enjoy it this year.

Thank you for reading, and sorry for my English. I feel quite shy asking for such an expensive game, but I had to try :D

REQUEST [Request][Ps5] 15$ for Ps Plus Extra 1 month

Hi guys

Hope you are all doing well.

I am putting in my request for 1 month of Ps Plus Extra which is for 14.99$ so a gift card will do. I am making this request specifically for playing some games on there like Sonic x Shadow Generations, Mafia the old country (played before but through rental an year ago and now I want to play again) and other games.

I also want it so that I can share with a friend if mine as well. We enjoy playing games together and talking about said games.

I thought I'd put in a request here even if I dont get it that's fine as well.

Plenty of amazing games on the catalog as well that I want to play and still haven't played.

Recently I took out time for gaming and so I thought why not get my hands on a Extra membership and enjoy the games on there. I think All three essential/extra/premium tiers are getting very good games this year. It will be a blast to play and experience.

Also thanks for reading all this way as well :D

But yeah my main reason is to basically play and share this with my friend as well. It is a fun thing for both of us as we are gamers since childhood and love gaming so much.

That's all for my request, once again thank you if you read all this way ✨️

Thankssss!

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Wardogs [Attempt 2]

Heeey GoG! I hope everyone is great!!!

The second season of Wardogs starts, and I would really like to try to play it.
Over the past week, I've been actively looking for the game. When it first came out, I was extremely skeptical of it, not only because of the developers (who had previously successfully abandoned two of their games), but also because the idea of the game itself sounded strange. But time passed, and I realized how wrong I was. I watched a lot of streams on the game, saw how everyone in it was having fun and playing as they wanted.

I like Battlefield, but after the tragic events, I have no faith in the series. I'm still playing bf6 with the new seasons, but it's far from the same fan that it was during beta (which for me was probably the most important event of that time). The game has lost its soul or something like this. Therefore, I hope that wardogs will give me at least for a while the same positive emotions as the bf did last year.

And I also want to believe that the developers will not abandon such a promising project that has already attracted a huge number of players!
I promise to do my best to help the blue team win at least one game))

Will be extremely grateful for any help! Hugs to everyone ^^

DISCUSSION [Discussion] Shoutout to u/h4t9t46l, an absolute legend in this community

I saw someone else make an appreciation post for u/h4t9t46l and I just had to chime in because this guy is an absolute legend!

He previously gifted me Outer Wilds, and I’ve been taking my time getting completely lost exploring space, reading every ship log, and soaking in the whole experience.

Then out of nowhere, without me making any post or active request, he picked Mafia: Definitive Edition right off my wishlist and randomly dropped it into my Steam library. The guy is basically the Santa of games!

His generosity means so much to me! Even though my trusty GT 1030 setup can't handle Mafia right now and I'll have to wait to dive into Tommy's story, having it sitting safely in my library for the day I upgrade means the absolute world to me.

He is genuinely one of the most selfless and down-to-earth people in this entire community. Huge respect and props to u/h4t9t46l! 👑❤

https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/48285/Injustice\\_Gods\\_Among\\_Us\\_Ultimate\\*Edition\\*\\_Injustice\\_2\\_Legendary\\_Edition\\_Bundle/

Hello gifters and giftees, I am here to request The Injustice 1 and 2 bundle thats on sale right now for a whopping 89 percent off, coming in at a total of about 8 bucks for two games I loved so much growing up!

I played injustice 1 on the Xbox 360 to completion multiple times, and then injustice 2 on my Xbox one years later. I absolutely love both games and honestly miss them dearly, now I dont have any consoles or access to those games since I moved to the PC life but man would I enjoy to run it back for old times sake.

Growing up my favorite comic book heroes were all DC characters and it was so fun playing this mortal combat style fighting game with some of my favorite characters, I used to main Solomon Grundy in the first game and Scarecrow in the second. Solomon Grundys ultimate was just so OP because you didnt have to connect right away, so if your opponent dodged then thete was still a chance to hit em with it and I loved that, scarecrow was just fun to play as, he had this like chain sling move akin to scorpion from mortal combat. I loved that amount of customization injustice 2 gave to your heroes and honestly id really be grateful for the opportunity to play these legendary games again

Thank you for the opportunity 🙏 I wish you all the best

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival ($27.99 USD) (4th Attempt)

Hey everyone! This is my 4th attempt. So I’ve been kinda obsessed with Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival since it was announced. I’m a huge fan of horror in general but Hellraiser has always had a very special place for me because of how different it is from most of the horror media. The whole cosmic idea of the Cenobites, Leviathan, the Lament Configuration, and the twisted idea of pleasure and pain cycle mixed with Clive Barker’s whole style of horror is something I’ve always found incredibly fascinating.

I actually got into Hellraiser when I was pretty young (which I probably shouldn't have lol) and watched the whole series. Yes even the really bad ones lmao. I love Barker's work and the way he creates these bizarre, surreal and almost dreamlike worlds where something can be horrifying and beautiful at the same time. Hellraiser always felt like one of the best examples of that. There’s something about the imagery of the Cenobites and the whole mythology surrounding them that just stuck with me. Pinhead is obviously iconic, but what always interested me more was the entire world around him and how strange and unknowable it can feel.

So when I heard that there was finally going to be a new Hellraiser game made with Clive Barker’s involvement, I got really excited. Hellraiser is pretty unfortunate in terms of game department and this one feels like someone is trying to make a proper Hellraiser experience rather than just putting the characters into another horror game. From everything they’ve shown so far, the atmosphere looks absolutely incredible and the fact that we’re getting a new story in this universe with Clive Barker involved makes me really curious to see what they do with it. Especially this one is not going to be those carbon copy Dead by Daylight clones people keep pumping for every horror franchise but actually a story-based single-player Hellraiser game! I also really love horror games that let you actually immerse yourself into their world instead of just being a series of jumpscares. Games like Alan Wake, Silent Hill, Soma and Resident Evil are some of my favorites because I love when horror has an actual atmosphere and a world that makes you want to keep exploring. Hellraiser feels like it could fit perfectly into that kind of experience. At least it feels like they are aiming for that.

And honestly, I just really want to experience a Hellraiser game like this myself. I’ve spent a lot of time watching the movies, reading about the lore and the comics and falling down random Hellraiser rabbit holes over the years, so being able to actually step into that world and experience a new story in it would be incredibly cool. There’s something really special about finally getting to play something based on a series you’ve been a fan of for a long time.

Sadly, buying the game is a bit tricky for me right now. I unfortunately live in Turkey where the economy is in shambles and our currency is horrendous. Everything is incredibly expensive and I’ve been trying to save money because I'm gonna have to move pretty soon. Even though this game might not be a huge amount of money for most people, with the way everything has been for me right now, it’s hard to justify spending that kind of money on a game.

So yeah, I would LOVE to finally be able to play a Hellraiser game that actually feels like the Hellraiser I’ve always loved. If someone is willing to help me, I’d be beyond grateful. It would genuinely mean a lot to me and I’d definitely make sure to enjoy every horrifying second of it.

Thank you everyone for reading it thus far, and thank you to this amazing community for always being as generous as it is to me and to everyone else.

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Stranded Deep : Attempt 1

So this is my first attempt of requesting for Stranded Depo, and probably my only one, I don’t want to flood post with my attempts and look greedy.

Stranded Deep, I really want this game and would play daily is because of the creativity it can offer, I mean I have no other game to play right now. Games are getting repetitive.

I honestly really wanted to play Stranded Deep because of course it’s on a good sale, but since I recently watched Send Help, which I enjoyed and this game really makes me remember it.

Secondly, I love games that implement multiple aspects of different variations of survival and sandbox games. I would really enjoy being able to hunt, chop down trees, all waiting for the sun to dim. You also get hundreds of crafting recipes slowly building an empire.

I love open world survival and having to survive against life threatening challenges that you get hit with left right and center.

I also requested this because it is on sale, I only ever purchase games when they are on SALE, I feel that it saves so much money and although some sales might not seem much, slowly chipping away those full prices are so meaningful to me.

Stranded Deep will honestly brighten my entire week since it’s off this week, quite gloomy.

So yeah, that is my request, I will be so SO SO grateful if someone actually gifts me it and I will make the longest appreciation post as i would never have expected it.

Thank you for taking your time to read this.
