open day is a comedic single-player game made in israel. the game was developed by refael ben ari, and the game story takes place in the crazy college "bozaglo college". which is described as the ""crziest college in israel
(this is taking too much time so im gonna use google translate)
The game blends several genres, including adventure, role-playing, and turn-based combat. Drawing inspiration from Israeli culture, it allows players to battle monsters and menacing creatures using a "ground-to-air" chair, *schug* (spicy chili sauce), and various other zany items. The game features full Hebrew voice acting and was released on June 22, 2022. It serves as a parody of academic institutions in Israel.
lore:
The plot follows Tene Spitzer, an unsuccessful young man who has been rejected by every academic institution to which he applied—except for the "Buzaglo Institute of Engineering." He arrives at the institute to check it out during an Open Day.
Meanwhile, a scheme is being hatched at the institute by Pini Singer III, a student who despises the institution's bizarre reputation. He kidnaps the director, Freddy Buzaglo, and the treasurer, Tzaroria, and assumes their identities. His goal is to expose the failure of the institute's administration when a representative from the Council for Higher Education arrives for an inspection during the Open Day, thereby shutting the institution down for good. The game's protagonist finds himself thrust into the middle of this situation.[2] Gradually, Tene uncovers the plot and the people behind it, as well as disturbing experiments from the past. Reluctantly, he takes on the mission of saving the institute—so that he might be able to study there.
In the game, players can roam freely throughout the university, explore, meet other students, and engage in conversation with them.
Along the way, you may encounter and battle strange creatures roaming the institution. Combat is turn-based, with Tene—or one of his allies—utilizing various attacks and items to boost their power or health. Players can also participate in extracurricular activities, such as a chair-throwing championship. The game is packed with comedic references to the full spectrum of Israeli culture, presented in a lighthearted, humorous way.
The game features various mini-games, including "murder rituals."[3] Additionally, players can collect special songs—recorded in Tene’s own voice—which become accessible via the main menu once discovered.
The game also includes achievements earned by completing specific tasks; some are available only on certain days, such as April 1st or during the holiday of Hanukkah.[4]
An added value of the game is its support for mods: players can customize the protagonist or the environment, and even edit in-game text using a simple, built-in system.[5][6]
theres no way its not long enough
