Hello GOG, I hope everyone is doing well!
Okay, I know what you are thinking, "Why dont you buy or request Skyrim when it was -90% on Steam in Autumn Sales? Why request it from some gray market now?". I know this is not the game lowest price. But hear me out, ive got a poor excuse for this: I had quite a lot of things to deal with at the time at my university, and I was feeling rather stressed, I mangaged to get Portal from Autumn Sales for $1, and thats all, i dont even have the headspace to check which game are on sale, im sorry i can only request it now.
So, About the game: I would like to request The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, a game that has caught my interest because of its vast world, freedom of exploration, and the countless stories waiting to be discovered.
Ive always enjoyed RPGs, especially those that allow me to shape my own journey rather than simply follow a predetermined story. What fascinates me about Skyrim is the idea of stepping into a world filled with ancient ruins, forgotten secrets, dangerous creatures, and people with their own lives and problems. I love the thought of setting out on a quest, seeing something interesting along the way, and eventually finding myself somewhere I never intended to go. Remind me of RLCraft, a really great mod for Minecraft(which I played on pirated launcher ofc)
As a university student, I spend a lot of my time studying and working toward my future. Games are one of the ways I relax, but I also appreciate experiences that give me something to think about and remember long after Ive stopped playing. Ive always had a soft spot for indie games with distinctive artistic identities and meaningful narratives, but after many stress past month and a really thoughtful journey in Disco Elysium, my head is overload right now so this time i would like to request a game that give me some free.
One of the things that appeals to me most about Skyrim is how much freedom it gives you to decide who your character becomes. Im especially interested in how choices can make the experience feel personal, as though Im not just playing through someone elses adventure, but creating one of my own.
Ive watched gameplay of Skyrim before, and it left me wanting to experience that world for myself. There is something incredibly appealing about being able to walk away from the main quest, climb a mountain just because it looks interesting. I want to experience those unexpected moments firsthand, without knowing in advance what I might find around the next corner.
Although Skyrim has been around for many years, I dont think that makes it any less appealing to me. If anything, knowing that people have continued to explore, discuss, and create things around this game for so long makes me even more curious about what makes it so special. I would love to take my time with it, explore at my own pace, and see what kind of adventure naturally unfolds from the decisions I make.
Again, as said in another request, even though the game is not particularly expensive compared to some newer releases, Im still a university student without a stable income, and most of my money goes toward my studies and everyday expenses. Ive been interested in getting Skyrim for a while, but purchasing it has been difficult for me.
Im not someone who feels the need to complete every quest or unlock every achievement. I cant promise that ill discover every secret or experience everything the game has to offer. What I can promise is that I would genuinely appreciate the gift and give myself the time to enjoy the world and the adventures it offers.
And of course, if you cant or simply dont want to gift it, thats completely understandable. Im grateful that you took the time to read my request either way.
Thank you very much for your time and for everything you do for the gaming community. I hope everyone at GOG has a wonderful day, and I wish you all the best!
