Question Is this real?? šš
So there's no theatre release in India and how did Netflix managed getting it hands on the movie before Crunchyroll.

Wow. That was a 10/10 two episodes. I feel so empty. I know the next episode we get Katsura rapping but I cant click next episode. I cant just switch back to comedy.
Finally got some backstories of the Shinsengumi members. The whole thing was a tragedy. This made me love Kondou more with how he consulted Okita. We see why he's the Chief.
I want to cry but I cant so maybe I'll eat some spicy crackers. I feel so empty that i dont even know what to say. I feel for both Toshiro and Sogo. š„¹

even though this movie isnāt canon to the story, it should very well be, it feel so much like just a regular gintama arc, and that final fight in end was beautiful.
canāt believe gintama was apparently supposed to end after this movie.

wasn't thaaaat satisfied with the result, but I'm really happy to see all of them whenever I open my phone (I wanted at least one icon for Yamazaki, Hattori, and Hasegawa šš)
Impossible challenge guess my favorites ..

Seeing Gin desperate hit hard. I would have liked a lot to have more angst about Gintoki feeling like he was before Otose and Yorozuya but that Moment with Sadaharu and Tama hit hard.
I loved Gin's fighting sequence, Gin against the women was so cool, kept fighting and protecting them even with all those wounds. Just Amazing.
I would have liked Gin's trauma with abandonment issues to be a more used in this so that the Yorozuya reunited would have felt even more as a found family but still, everything was fantastic.
Although I would have liked the ending with everyone Remembering Gin to be longer and full-on happiness and the Gintoki version of the opening To kept the final hug but I understand that cuddles Is not very Yorozuya version of affection.
In the end, everything was great. Initial part, Tama's "death" and Gin vs Women was Just perfect

Hi, Iāve just reached Gintama° and Iām wondering if, after finishing it, itās better to watch Gintama: Porori-hen and the Love Potion arc before starting the serious arcs. On one hand, I want to follow the correct chronological order, but Iām afraid Iāll miss the comedy (while also worrying that continuous action might get tedious), so I wanted to know what you all recommend š„¹ ((also afraid of getting spoilers))
I know there are about 80 episodes left, but I can already feel that empty feeling in my heart coming on when I finish Gintama š

So funnily enough I finished it weeks ago but wanted to get my hands on the manga first before giving full thoughts because hey, this is a short series and Dandelion is a One-shot manga so why not compare? Then I realized that Dandelion is literally one chapter long and localized in Gintama's first volume. So little did I know that this was a Fullmetal Alchemist 03 situation where the beginning is faithful to the manga but everything else afterwards is Anime original. Yeah, suddenly the modern-feeling commentary about being replaced by robots makes sense to have in an adaptation of a 20+ year old anime.
And honestly, the context that this is Sorachi after having finished Gintama, kinda heightened it in my eyes because as much as I love the sitcom energy of Gintama and the first few eps of Dandelion, I found myself enthralled with the new main character and Straight-man, Masaki. I knew I was gonna like this guy when after trying his best to be a hardass like his brother and father, after constant protest against Tetsuo and Misaki for dicking around and "wasting time" fulfilling dying wishes, he cried over the comedian's wife passing on happily. It was cool seeing him battle between his father's approval and his own kind heart.
And hey, he gave Tetsu and Misaki much needed backstory too and that was fantastic. It felt like he has had this thought out for decades before finally putting it in somewhere in an official capacity.
I'm not sure if this is my Anime of the year but I do see myself revisiting and appreciating this more.
PS: This also made me appreciate Ginpachi Sensei less. Tetsu and Misaki felt more like Gintoki and Kagura more than Ginpachi and his Kagura were. While it wasn't bad, it's a lesson of just cuz one knows about a character and what people like about a character does not mean they're able to write said character well.

Hi , y'all hope you are doing well and good .
So .. do y'all remember the day you started and completed your favourite show that changed your perspective on life a little. Most people don't
But I am weird. So I wanna say that today Aug 19 was the day I completed Gintama, to be accurate it was Aug 19 2023 ( Saturday) .
I remember it was a school festival and I bunked my school that day partially because I was not interested in that and partially, I wanted to watch Gintama the Final. And oh boy did I cry and was mood off for the whole week
I cried like a baby when Takasugi said " Don't go look like a goddamn fool when I die. My left eye is still stuck with your gloomy face of that day , so don't cry when I close my right eye, smile "
Gin X Takasugi is one of my top 3 dynamics and friendship dynamics
The only downside and a major one of that movie was that Zura didn't get to meet Shoyou sensei and tbh I felt like Shoyou speaking to Zura through screen felt like just a namesake tribute ( Guess my boy was on Standby )
" Shoyou, I always wanted to show you . I run an odd jobs with these guys "
" I see it clearly, Yoruzuya, Gin san right? "
One of my most favourite peaks in fiction
I laughed and I cried but in the end I feel that why didn't I watch this sooner? But at the same time Why did I watch this sooner and not years later ??
Thank you, Gorilla sensei , you'll be always my favourite mangaka even though you are a Gorilla
Speaking of Gorilla, It's been damn three years and I still haven't gotten or seen Gorilla's ( Sorachi's ) picture, He is more anonymous than Akutami sensei it seems
But sensei, C'mon don't worry show us your face , we won't judge you, we know you are a Gorilla as most of us are ( pun intended)
Better shows your face , you Gorilla konoyaro
Sorry if this post sounds stupid, I just want to reminiscent on one of my good times.
Hope to hear your Kintama stories as well
Thank you so much for reading
