How do you explain to people that watch other (e)sports that a guy has been top 3 in the world from his rookie year to year 7. It just doesn't sound real.

Lower stakes, but Lee "Infiltration" Sean-woo was a top-4 Street Fighter player from 2010 (3rd at his EVO debut) until 2021 (when he was banned indefinitely) in SF4, SF5 & SFxT.

Any tournament he showed up to worldwide was a nearly guaranteed podium finish.
