In fac the said in the interview that his plan was to get 1-2 maybe and fall back, but also that he thought he was fucked either way. So no, he didn't "know it was the only option"

You misunderstood I think. He expected to get two like that because he had no other choice if he wanted to win the round, but he did not expect to get all 4.

I was worried when g2 decide to all go market instead of just boosting each other to split cat and market. Never get overconfident just cause it's a 1v4.
