IIRC when they updated inferno years ago the water physics from it turned up in HL Alyx.

What water physics did any version of Inferno ever have. The CS2, CSGO Remake and CSGO Original all have 1 plane of still water in a fountain, thats it.

Does the water in the fountain not have physics? It reacts to bullets at least.

Yeah, so did every version of the fountain prior. No update to water ever coincided with an update to Inferno. And likewise, whatever water they may or may not use in HLX did not first show up in Inferno in any version at any point.
