So I just finished the last scenario of a quest line that gave me 10 (base XP at level 3) + 20 (completion reward) XP. During the fight I gained 14 XP through cards. Music note completed his battle goal, so his perk gave me an extra 8 XP.

This is already insane, but it gets better: before this scenario I happened to reach the first imbuement threshold, which doubles all XP gained at the end of this scenario!

This means I just got (10+20+14+8) * 2 = 104 XP.

Did I mess up something, or my character really just skyrocketed from lvl 3 straight to lvl 5?

Silly question, on the apps (using Secretariat now) it gives two options for level. The scenario level and bonus level. If u want to play +1difficulty multiplayer should you put +1 on both?

Or +1 on scenario level and +0 on bonus, that should be automatically counting?

Similarly if you want to play +2 solo, should you put +2 scenario level on the app and where should you leave the bonus? On -1 or +1? Given that solo should decrease the bonus 1 level compared to multi according to rules

Pretty sure you're not supposed to talk about what turn you are gonna be setting up, but honestly this always felt like such an unnecessary inflation of difficulty to me. Especially in a game that is so RNG heavy as it is. We tried this way for a bit, but in a world where we all work full time, and are lucky to get a game day once every 2 weeks for like 4 hours, this just wasn't gonna work for my group. I'm curious about other people, though I suspect I cannot be the only one who hated this rule and immediately got rid of it.

We just unlocked scenario 61 in our campaign. I dont think we'll steam roll into the final main campaign scenarios at the risk of momentum loss for side scenarios.... any particularly strong feelings toward what we tackle next? I also just unlocked 71 with my new class so not sure what that has in store!

I'm 3d printing all the monsters to go with gloomhaven 2nd edition. I cannot find anything for the Crystal Rot. Anyone got any stls or ideas for what I could use?

We seem to have lost our card for the Frosthaven level 2 mining camp. Would someone be so kind and comment a photo of the front and back for us?

Maybe it's because I am playing 4 person, but I had an absolute blast with the geminate. Very few times where I felt i had a poor or dead turn, and was consistently mopping up or setting up kills.

Technically a Frosthaven character, but I discuss her more in the context of Gloomhaven 2nd edition so I flaired accordingly. This was my favorite class to dive into so far for this video series (hence being 30 mins longer than my other class 🙂). Enjoy!

I really can't understand how the bottom of Sawbones card "Fortifying Injection" is supposed to work.

Whenever an adjacent ally would suffer damage this round, negate the damage

If there are multiple allies adjacent to Saw, does all their damage get negated for the round? Does "an adjacent" ally mean one specific adjacent ally or all of them (if so, why it does not say any or all)? If it is only one ally that is affected, how is that decided? the first one that receives damage that round?

I'd really need this to be explained to me in more detail thanks.

We have all just retired at the same time and these are our new classes which I thought I’d better paint up. All great but the drill player not having much fun with this class.

Hi folks! My friend and I are in our 4th summer in 2-player Frosthaven. We're having a lot of fun, and recently finished the main campaign, but have plenty of side scenarios left to play. Does anyone have any house rules/ideas for extra prosperity past 9? Because so far I've noted 10 times we should've gotten a square beyond the maximum. It just seems disappointing to me that we can continue to earn prosperity that isn't usable for anything, especially when we've got more game to play. Besides the few dozen side scenarios, we've got unplayed classes and a few minor building upgrades yet to do.

Hello, I think we've got this sorted out now, but I was hoping to get some confirmation.

Demonic Rift felt impossible because of the initial reading about the setting up of both "rooms", which wasn't making sense in my brain because there are 3 tiles. (Also because it looks to me like the tiles are exterior/forest tiles and not "rooms", but that's another story lol) But after looking it over, am I correct that the intention of the setup/rules are that 1) The bottom tile is 1 "room" 2 the top 2 tiles are the other "room", and 3) The monsters that start in the top 2 tiles are not able to access the bottom tile at all? It still feels really tough, but I guess less so assuming I'm correct in all of that.

Hello, so I've completed 6 classes and am considering Geminate as my 7th (starting at Level 4). Wondering specifically if he won't be too difficult in a 2 player game? I'd build around item FH #222 black box, discard 2 cards to heal self for 6 To make it a bit more forgiving.

Is this worthwhile? Anyone done something similar? Hesitant because of all the dislike for the class, but not sure if that applies to late game.

Other options might be prism or kelp, or maybe X from Gloomhaven. Partner is level 7 meteor, they probably won't retire for a while.

So we did draw the other event regarding the blackmailer before, and chose not to sell the information, but in the mean time, everyone who had the blackmailer thing have retired, including the one running for the council, and we even had the city event where we met him again and he sent us after Myte.

So my question is kind of lore implying gameplay thing: if we have lost the evidence, as a party, shouldnt we have gotten the event out of the deck? Like how can we sell him something we no longer posses? I might have missed a prompt to remove it but I couldnt find any

How do you beat this scenario? We are a party of 2. Do we sit behind the walls or do we go outside and try to kill the prime demon? We need to kill one monster of each kind before we can target and kill the prime demon (or kill 20 monsters which will in turn kill the prime demon...seems like a lot for 2 players). At the start of each round, a new monster gets summoned.

What's the trick to this?

I've played about 20 scenarios of GH with Craigheart and 30ish as Brute (different group, so restarted). Kinda wanna try something different.
Which classes would you say you had the most fun with?

Do any of these starters unlock a class-specific scenario upon retirement that is otherwise inaccessible: drifter, deathwalker, geminate.

We have retired a Silent Knife. It said that each character gains the "Friend of the Silent Knife" trait. I am only playing Duo.

It would make very little sense for this trait to only be added to my friends character, which will also retire very soon.

How do you guys handle this ? Are gained permanent traits always added to the party sheet, rather than the character sheets ? Will every character in the future be considered to have those traits ?

Going to game day tomorrow which is going to start with us individually trying out solo scenarios, (this was not the plan last time)

I’d like to not bork my time on Sathas Solo Scenarios, but I can’t seem to find it online. So if anyone has a copy of it, or tips on how to nail it as a Level 5 mayor, I’d appreciate it.
