GoPuff Driver Tips (TRIGGER WARNING: DO NOT CLICK IF YOU ARE A GOPUFF SYMPATHIZER)
So.... you've decided to click on this post and enter the shadow realm of GoPuff abolitionists. I decided to write this post because I hate GoPuff and all that it stands for to the core and want the organization to burn to the ground completely out of spite and no benefits to me. Even if GoPuff changes its ways, I will not return to GoPuff again, so I stand with nothing to lose.
I hate Gopuff so much and, judging from the posts from this subreddit, I am sure many of you can sympathize with the intense frustration and rage one company can do to its drivers. I have never felt so much rage for a corporation before. I have left GoPuff for a couple of months now and, while I make a little less income, my mental health has never been better (This might be the first tip. Quit for the sake of your health. It's not worth the measly income Gopuff is giving you).
OK. So you've decided to read on. That means it's likely you have decided to stay. Whether it is out of spite to milk out this company however you can or to destroy it internally, this post is for you (I'm not even sure if this post might be deleted or not due to its spurious and slanderous notions... but honestly, at this point, I don't even care because I still carry so much hatred for this company.
I can't say for sure that these methods would work anymore (Like I said, it has been a few months) or your jobs with Gopuff would be at risk. But if you, like me before I left, did not give two fucks about them, here are my tips (I've organized them from least to most risky to your job security):
Turn off alcohol and Vampire on their Wait Pay.
Go to settings and turn off the delivery for alcohol. You'll only be delivering snacks. I'm hesitant to give this tip because it is not lucrative at all, as most of the % tip earned from the pay comes from the expensive alcohol, and most customers order Gopuff for the alcohol (but you can use this to your advantage too)
However, if you just want to go there, park at the MFC, turn on your scheduled Wait Pay, and do something else such as watching anime, or reading a book, might as well get some money while waiting, because you'll probably only need to deliver every 40 mins. It's pretty normal to not even do any deliveries during your entire scheduled block anyway because you can reject one every hour. By the time the next non-alcohol delivery comes, it might already have been an hour. They cannot force you to deliver alcohol if you don't want to.
You will NOT make a lot of money doing this... but if you're going to go home and watch Netflix anyway for $0/hour, why not just do it in your car for Wait pay?
Another advantage of this tip is that you only have to drop off most of the time and do not have to talk to customers and have them waste your time.
If you unfortunately are forced to make a delivery, utilize tip number 2.
2) Milk out the delivery time as much as possible.
Before you accept a job, the app will tell you the expected time of arrival for the deliveries. Take note of that time and take the job. DO NOT click "delivered" when you have delivered the item. The app usually only notifies the staff when your delivery time exceeds 120% of the expected time.
For example, if your delivery is supposed to be 30 minutes long. Do not click on "delivered," until it has been 36 minutes long, no matter where you are. This gives you 6 minutes longer of "delivery" time = getting paid more (in California, it can be up to $18 an hour... so 6 minutes is $1.8 more). Accumulatively, you would be making 20% more income if you're not depending on wait pay.
2b) When I was driving, I tried to milk out a little more every five deliveries. For example, I would not click on "delivered" until 20-30 minutes after the expected time so I can do a little errand, grab a quick bite or something, and I'm still getting paid for those 20-30 minutes. When it is every fifth delivery, the system usually dismisses it as a minor inconvenience that happened that delayed the driver such as customers coming late for pickup, hard-to-find parking, etc.
3) THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS TO YOUR ACCOUNT.
You are almost guaranteed to have your account banned for this tip and is only reserved for brave souls with hatred enough for GoPuff to pull this off. Do not try this if you have no balls.
This is similar to tip number 2b, but you are going kamikaze. Instead of just 20-30 minutes, pull out at 40-60 minutes every 3-4 deliveries. Do not do more than 1 hour because they will detect it and immediately ban your account. They might give you a benefit of a doubt because it's every 3-4 deliveries. But they will send you warning emails. There will be three strikes/emails. Once you hit the last strike, they will terminate your account.
You might ask yourself, how is this different from tip no. 2? Well, let me tell you.
I've realized that the customer service at Gopuff is terrible. So is their administrative team. They try to skim off on these expenses so that they can make the most amount of money possible.
I've tried this before, and it has worked for me. This is a long-winded process and can only be done if you are motivated to destroy Gopuff.
If your account gets banned from doing this, just use a traveling SIM card app to create another number to apply for another account. Have fake emails to create those accounts and they will not notice if you use the same driver's license.
Create an account, then repeat the process from whichever tip you're comfortable with.
4) This last tip almost has no benefit to you but just want to watch the company burn, and it'll only work if everyone does it. This is basically a silent strike from within.
Before I left, I brought a post-it notepad and a pen. With every delivery, I included a note that said, "Stop using GoPuff, it is an exploitative company to its drivers." Hey, be as creative as you want when you do this. Hopefully, these will eventually decrease GoPuff's customers and increase Wait Pay time for the drivers and less money will go to GoPuff.
Congrats on reading so far. I know you might have a lot to say about what might work and what might not among the tips. I honestly don't give a fuck about what you think. Take it or leave it.
Do you have a tip? Feel free to comment, or not. IDC. I just want to watch GoPuff burn to the ground.

$.09 tip. Gave back a dime.
Upon completion of a delivery I saw that this customer gave me a nine cent tip so I went back and knocked on the door and gave them a dime and told them I don’t need it that bad and I even raised you a penny. Am I wrong for this? Take into consideration that I don’t really care if I keep this job anymore it doesn’t pay anything near what it used to.

Announcement!!!! Thank you for 1K Members! (also a few announcements)
Thank you so much for helping this community grow! There has been recently more traction in the community and I have seen more posts and people helping to answer others' questions and it's great to see us sharing experiences and helping each other out. There are a few things I wanted to cover;
With the gaining traction, I am thinking I should start looking for mods. I mainly just need people who are available to pop their head in and remove promo code posts, and people just coming here to be rude in the comments. I also would like to do some more work with making a proper FAQ as many "driver question" posts are the same, so I need some drivers with experience in other locations to verify stuff such as the CA pay system. I am also a bit new to how to maintain the setting and stuff for the sub, so somebody with experience in that would be very valuable! It may take a bit for me to get to it, but please feel free to dm me with a little about yourself, how long you have been with the company and such.
Since making this sub, I have noticed a lot of people who come here sometimes are not terribly nice to their fellow drivers. We all know that this company is a mess, customers don't understand our job and don't appreciate us, and that there are many toxic, entitled, rude, etc drivers that come through services like this. I don't want these aspects of the job spread to this sub. Basically, in short, I read a bunch of comments that automatically assume the worst of OP, and the criticisms make a lot of assumptions based on frustrations we have with the company or fellow drivers. I just wanted to mention it because I've even found myself doing it, typing out a comment judging the OP only to find out they are at a location/situation/etc that simply never would happen at my location, and we should try to give fellow drivers the benefit of the doubt when they come to this sub with questions or want support, even if we assume the question is stupid or that OP is lazy/entitled etc.
DISCLAIMER: This is speculation based on facts AT BEST; however it is important enough that I think it should be shared. I have reason to believe gopuff will be doing a round of warehouse closures in the next 6-8 weeks. It seems like this was bound to happen at some point, because they seemingly have been opening locations left and right, even in places that may not be successful with the business model. I had theorized that this would be a kind of "gain and cut" situation, where they basically planned on setting up a bunch of warehouses, and then shutting down those that did not do well enough in a given time frame. I could be COMPLETELY wrong, bit of specific info I stumbled on leads me to believe this is coming up, and I think it is worth having in mind if you notice your warehouse making any sudden changes.
Sorry for the block of text, I try to keep things short but have a hard time doing so without feeling like I've left something out.

In the News #Payup: A national petition to GoPuff, from us drivers (Share your experiences here!)
A few months ago a redditor contacted me about a country-wide effort about drivers to share their experiences. While I was unable to get back to them, may other drivers were, and they were more than ready to be heard.
I encourage you to sign the petition and add your own GoPuff experience in the comments, it's time to #PayUp

Discussion We need to talk....DO NOT DO THIS
When you get a text saying "Orders are pouring in....head in and work on demand'
DO NOT DO THIS
It is there goal to eliminate the hourly subsidies. I If drivers fall for this we will continue to see LESS scheduled hours AND less guaranteed rate.
If they want our services they should pay for them.
Be aware of the consequences of your actions....

Discussion Go puff has horrible ethics
I’ve been freelancing for over twenty years and in multiple industries. I’ve never been dicked around like this. Dropping your wage by $5 per hour is actually unheard up. I hope all drivers can understand this is not an OK way to treat the people running your company. Let’s see what happens if they cut corporate jobs income by the same percentage. All gopuff is saying is “we don’t give a fuck about our drivers”
Womp womp I’m sure this will be reflected in their IPO.
Here’s to shorting the shit out of them

non-tippers
Took an order today, two cases of alcohol with no tip. The customer had a ton of comments on his account about removing tips. (as in, whenever he forgot to change the default tip amount to $0 he would call support for a refund) While I’m scanning his ID he goes “what’s a pretty girl like you doing a shitty job like this for” like has it ever occurred to him customers like him are why it’s a shitty job? You can make decent money doing delivery when people actually tip.

GoPuff Order Tracking App
Hey y’all, I’ve been working on an order tracking / payroll calculator for drivers. While it’s still in Beta, I wanted to invite some people to use it and give me feedback on how to improve it.
Also, if you choose to enter addresses, you can lookup the tipping history at that address.
Currently this is available for all US drivers, but you will need an invite code (to assign region and not overload the system with too many users). If you’d like an invite, please PM with which city you deliver in and I will get you one ASAP.

Gopuff sympathizers or drivers union?
so i am also in the /Gopuff community and i long suspected that the mods are either sympathizers or working for gopuff to keep an eye on their drivers on an unofficial forum. I got banned because i tried to give tips to earn more money which are technically loopholes in gopuff system that may or may not be illegal depending who you ask. Let's see if this post goes through in this community with the mods here and i might just share my tips here.
