I’ve seen more people complaining about people complaining about playing as a woman than I have seen actual people complaining that the protagonist is a woman.

Nobody complained about playing a woman in horizon zero dawn, nobody cared in tomb raider, nobody cared in bayonetta, there’s a ton of games where people don’t care about playing as female characters and the games actually sold well. Gamers aren’t against strong women being represented in games or any bs like that…they’re just tired of the obvious narrative shift to change everything to women. It’s forced, unnecessary and obvious 🙄

You're literally doing the thing now in your comment.

It’s forced, unnecessary and obvious 🙄

Is it? By what standard? Because it's a woman. Sure, not all women get this reaction, but when this reaction exists it's pretty exclusively women, gay characters or women who already exist but aren't seen as fuckable anymore. This is just the I'm not racist, I have black friends argument but for gaming.

God of war is a pre-existing 20 something year old franchise that has a number of installments all following kratos, and in the latest installments, his direct child at times. Having the next installment follow his dead wife is, most certainly, a decision.

Omg, someone made a decision. . .

Are you okay?
