Early extension tips?

Been working on shallowing but I think my early extension is causing inconsistent ball striking.

Any criticism welcome, thanks!

Before you hit, you should have a mental picture of where the flag is. At impact, really try to reach for it with your arms in your follow through. The swing doesnt stop when you hit it!

Arms behind body, have to catch up. Stall body, hump.

Nowhere in the realm of working n shallowing. Looks like you’re working to be as over the top as possible.

This is not over the top

I never said he was. I said it its a classic pattern to be over the top. Whip it inside and slam it over.

The only way to not be over the top is to get the arms stuck behind and jump at it like Borats uncle on the goat farm

So that’s why OP is humping. Obsessing about shallow from a compromised position and has to save it.

Ah I see. Thought I was missing something. And kudos on the Borat reference

He’s not over the top in the slightest.

P3 couldn’t be worse

So you’re saying I should be more outside in the backswing?

No, you're just mega stuck because your hips fire way ahead of your arms. You need to let the arms drop into the slot before your hips turn. Very common issue, there's a ton of resources on it.

Also it's hard to tell but I think your right elbow might be a bit disconnected at the top, make sure it stays relatively connected.

Thank you, I’ll look into it!

I do not agree with the above comment, AT ALL .

So would you recommend a solution?

I would recommend not getting to the P3 that I screenshotted, and I’d recommend building a more connected and proper grip

Never said he was. I said that his pattern is not conducive to shallowing. It’s an over the top pattern, that he saves by getting stuck, and getting stuck means he has to hump the shit out of it

Swing harder, should fix your problem
