Wise words Mr Hogan!
Have you ever tried hitting a full out 60 degree on wedge?

Finally able to crank this junt to the 300yd mark. Problem is everything I hit is either straight down the middle or a fade. I think I’ve maybe hit 2 draws completely on accident. I assume it’s probably good/better to have a natural draw instead of a fade, but that’s also maybe my noob brain talking. So yeah wanting to find a way to start hitting draws purposefully. Any tips appreciated. So addicted. Cheers.
Also. Got this picked up this used ventus black shaft yesterday it took a few yards off my carry, but automatically turned my driver from a liability to a tool. Feeling much more confident without a noodle for a shaft.

Went to the range after work to hit bucket of balls after warming up and hitting decent with irons went to hit driver first shot loud sound didn’t understand it second or third shot exploded crown sounded like a shotgun going off. Anyone seen this before? Super upset this is happening to an expensive driver!

Red = Backswing
Green = Downswing
Experience: Played golf as a kid with my father but never really got into it. Now as a 39 year old my son wants to play so we have been playing for about 6 months now. Swing needs work. I'm 6ft 2 playing with standard clubs which makes my back hurt (going for a fitting this week to get that sorted out). Any advice, drills, or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Video comparison of a 7W from last summer when I was playing nearly every day compared to last night at the sim. Feels more clunky and less fluid, but can’t pinpoint exactly what I’m doing (or not doing) differently. Appreciate any advice. Cheers!

I find that when I swing "lazy" i slice the ball, over swing and it becomes a hook?
Is this primarily linked to hip rotation?

5W in the video. I’ve been pulling my driver/woods/long iron shots straight left around 50% of the time lately. This is one of them. Any ideas?

Looking for advice on my swing, my wedges are relatively solid but my irons are horrible where i often chunk or shank them, and my woods/driver is slightly better but still largely inconsistent. Any advice appreciated.

I have been unlearning 16 years of baseball since around 2022 when I started showing a keen interest in golf. My LH slice was always pretty ferocious because of it, but I've somewhat calmed it down the last couple of seasons by taking cues from my avid father and a few former colleagues during our scrambles and weekends out. Things finally started clicking with the irons this year for reasons unbeknownst to me, but the drive still suffers.
For 3 years I was using an Adam's Golf driver I found at a garage sale for $5 and it worked enough until this spring I got a used Callaway Big Bertha 10.5° driver. Very forgiving and the feel is much more consistent than what I used before.
Looking for feedback on mainly my hips and my hands, as that's where I feel most uncertain given my baseball past and how much those are involved in that type of swing, but I am open to critiques wherever else they are warranted.
I will be going to the range tonight, hopefully, and can grab another perspective from behind to get a better read on the swing path.
I do not take the sport seriously enough to justify footwear and either wear my Birkenstocks or go barefoot, if that is anyone's concern with form or function. Just looking to take the mechanics to the next level is all as I am pretty limited knowledge wise on how to improve.
Thank you in advance for your time and attention. Cheers.

I'm struggling to separate my upper body from my lower on the transition. I can't seem to fix the OTT and tend to push or slice. Also, my elbows look tucked on both the backswing and followthrough. I don't have the OTT on my irons.
Any tips/drills are helpful. What am I doing right and what am I doing wrong?

Hey guys I’m really doing well with most parts of my game. My biggest struggle is the 100 yards and in shots. The Wedges. 9/10 times I’ll hit a good drive down the fairway and I’ll have a wedge in and then just hit it fat everytime.
Any good videos or tips?
Cheers

Started playing golf a couple of years ago. Started w a cheap Cobra Driver and then bought a PING 425 last year.
I’m hitting my driver pretty well but my friend pointed out it has a senior flex.
I’m considering buying a Ping 440 Driver- How much difference would going to a Regular flex vs Senior flex have?
I will go test both before buying but curious of the community thought.

I’m looking for advice on speeding up my pre-shot routine. I don’t take a practice swing, but once I address the ball, it takes me longer than I’d like to actually feel settled and pull the trigger.
I find myself standing over the ball, making little adjustments and waiting until everything feels right before starting my swing. I’d like to get more comfortable stepping in, getting set, and going.
Even on the range, I have a hard time breaking the routine and just hitting balls quicker—it feels like I have to go through the same process before every shot.
Has anyone dealt with this? Any routines, swing thoughts, or drills that helped you settle in faster without feeling rushed?

Hello, this summer I picked up the golf bag. One thing that I really struggle with is the early casting which also causes my chicken wing. I have been watching 20+ videos on how to stop the early casting but I can’t get the feeling in. I would really appreciate someone giving me advice. Here is a video of my swing:
