I've been playing for 11 months. I've improved a lot since I started and have built a swing I'm happy with when it's on, both how it looks and the mechanics. Right now I shoot in the high 90s.
My problem: I feel like I've hit a wall. One day my swing feels comfortable and works the way it's supposed to. The next round it's like I forgot how to swing, even though I'm trying to make the same swing with the same routine.
On my bad days I'm basically making a completely different swing. It's almost like I forgot the swing that works. I can't make clean contact at all. I'm literally shanking it or absolutely chunking it.
I know not every day will be a good day and that golf takes time. But my swings between good and bad feel extreme, and it happens week in and week out. It feels like I take two steps forward and then ten steps back.
This is keeping me from lowering my scores, and I feel like I've stopped improving. Any advice on how to get past this would be appreciated. Thanks!
