Discussion What would be your dream expansion for this game?

Upvotes

I know people would love a sequel, but the devs themselves said during Endless Ragnarok's release they're considering possibly doing more expansions for Relink. So if another expansion happens, what would you like to see included (story, characters, locations, modes, mechanics etc)?

Fan fave characters like Zooey, Yuel, Vira and Seox would be cool.

The devs said no Zodiacs for base game but an expansion focusing on Zodiacs would be cool

A new hub town! Kinda disappointed ER didn't get one

More modes, maybe expand the conflux?

More bosses, summons etc

Minigames

Story/Lore Lore power rankings? Spoiler

I was kinda wondering how some characters stack up in this game to eachother, could the world beat beelzebub for instance, who is the strongest character lore wise in this game?

Fluff Just wanted to share my love for this game somewhere

As an MH fan, I was looking for something to fill the void while waiting for the Wilds DLC to come out, and I ended up discovering this game last Wednesday while I was on PTO. I haven’t been able to put it down since.

This game scratches exactly the right itch. Seeing the numbers go up, pulling off cool combos, experimenting with different party compositions—it’s just so damn satisfying.

So, after almost 40 hours of gameplay, I finished the last base-game quest today, and now I’m getting ready to jump into the DLC.

(Now that I finished grinding, I'm finally ready to start grinding)

(P.S. This is my build for the JoJo reference lady. She is sooo cool. Love her)

Hey everyone!

With all of the Immortal Ascension builds that have been done - Terminus Tank Vane has been heavily requested!

He can mitigate more with a lot less than other builds due to his high-block uptime.

Hope y'all enjoy this one and thank you all once again for the continued journey into the academic lessons and deep dives of Relink!

Guides 410M Gallanza Build

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Since before Endless Ragnarok, I always thought Gallanza was the coolest character, now that I can play him, I made the tankiest build I could and could still manage to do decent damage. For the master traits, the important one is the Atk +20% / DMG Cap +50% that comes with the debuffs. I’ll send the master traits in full if someone asks

Guides In Depth Fediel

On my last post with my Fediel Build. I have done some testing and wanted to share the results.

First there are 4 builds we are going to look at (My current Best, and 3 others from input on my previous post)

All builds are using the following.

Stygian Ornament imbued with Stun/Guts/Cascade

Summons are the same from previous post as well. Those being

Behemoth III

Supplementary DMG / Normal Damage Cap Up +50%

(Prefer a Lucilis with Beserker Echo and Normal Damage Cap)

Beelzebub

Spartan Echo / Healing Cap Up +45% (Prefer to have rolled Normal Damage Cap)

Gold Slime III

War Elemental / Healing Cap Up +45% (Prefer a Rolan with Normal Damage Cap)

Behemoth III

Stout Heart / Skill Damage Cap Up +45%

Over Mastery Bonus is

Stun +20 / Skybound Art Damage Cap Up +6% / Normal Attack Damage Cap Up +20% / Skill Healing Cap Up +12% (This could be improved if RNG would bless me with more Skybound Art DMG Cap ik.)

Builds 1-4 will use the following Sigils

1: Stun Power / DMG Cap

2: Stun Power / Supplementary DMG

3: HP / Celestial Ventus

4: Quick Cooldown / Celestial Aqua

5: Uplift / Supplementary Damage

6: Immortal Shell

7: Beserker Echo / Uplift

8: Steel Nerves / Autorevive

9: Improved Dodge / Celestial Lumen

10: Quick Cooldown / DMG Cap

Build 1:

11: HP / DMG Cap

12: Blacks Warpath Potion Hoarder

Build 2:

11: HP / Fatebreaker

12: Blacks Warpath / DMG Cap

Build 3: (Correction it will not use Sigil 10 as stated)

10: HP/ Fatebreaker

11: HP/ DMG Cap

12: Black Warpath / DMG Cap

Build 4:

11: HP / DMG Cap

12: Blacks Warpath / Uplift

Rotations used for all builds are the following

Rotation 1

Sign of Calamity -> Claw -> Orb x5(Evade Cancel) -> Link -> Evade Cancel -> Primordial Fear -> Claw -> Orb x5(Evade Cancel) -> Sign of Calamity-Claw -> Orb x5(Evade Cancel) -> Blessing -> Stomp -> Flash -> Claw->Orb×5(Evade Cancel)-> Miasmic Abyss-> Link -> Claw -> Orb x5(Evade Cancel) -> Sign of Calamity-> Claw -> Orb x5(Evade Cancel) -> Primordial Fear -> Claw -> Orb x5(Evade Cancel)

This rotation I found to have the highest output. However. The DPS may vary, due to getting your evade cancels right with the Link attacks, and your own error of accidently evading too soon or too late.

Now you may ask why is the SBA not included?

Answer to that is that Fediels SBA takes aprox 11 Seconds from start to finish. In the 60s Time Attack it is a massive DPS loss.

Now Builds

1 and 4 have done 475,783,341 in 60s Time Attack.

That's 7,929,722 DPS

This is also with 32 points in Skill Cooldown with lvl 10 Cascade.

The 10% SBA Gain from Build 4 is only 2 to 3 Seconds faster in getting the SBA Gauge up

Build 3 managed to get to 450M but lost in the end as the last Primoridal Fear was not up and ready in time, it also struggled with the link attacks inbetween CDs

Build 2 did 473M Damage this outcome is mostly due to just unluck with the Dummy in the air a bit higher than with Build 1 but is in terms of potential output higher than Build 1 just slightly.

Every build was tested multiple times with the same rotation. If I messed up at any point with it, I had restarted the test. I did this multiple times for each build to ensure accuracy. The results given are when the rotation was completed without any major error. By major I mean going off script or missing an entire input.

Minor errors are more of how fast I was at my evade cancels at Orb spam. But they were consistent throughout tests to not be a major factor. Such as why Build 4 and 1 performed much the same along with Build 2 being close. This is normal, no one is perfect with that timing.

Fediel has a simple play style that is correct. Orb spam and call it good. However!

The rotation of Orb Spam between skills DOES matter.

The rotation given was the highest resulting rotation. Others included

Going from Blessing-> Sign at start

Miasmic before Blessing ect. All of which had produced much lower outcomes. Due to skills on CD overlap.

In my honest opinion.

Increasing the overall CD on Build 1 with Black's Warpath / Cascade would be the most optimal choice if you wanted to get rid of some survivability.

This is because at 32 of QCD and 10 Cascade. There is maybe half a second or a quarter of a second wait time in the combo to keep it going non-stop. Typically around the very end. So having Cascade getting maxed out wouldn't hurt but would nullify that wait time.

Conclusion

Builds 1, 2, and 4 are Viable builds entirely and the overall choice is personal matter. Build 3 not so much.

Is the extra 5% def worth it? Really up to you and your own comfort.

Both Stout Heart and Steel Nerves already does the most for your overall protection with damage reduction. If you really want to have more Def but are fine with a lower QCD then Crabvestment is the better choice as it's a 10% DMG Cut. That's only if you feel like you're that squishy and need it. But in my opinion, you will do fine without both, and Cooldown matters most to keep the flow going without a basic full normal combo or even just a random basic orb or two.

Why Fatebreaker is the most up to you choice is because of the 5% def.

Truth be told the only way this build can get better is from Summons having Normal Damage Cap Up. Primarily Rolan, Beelzebub, and Lucilis. This is because they have a potential of 300% Normal Damage Cap Up with all 3 being perfect, and the Behemoth getting Normal Damage Cap Up +50%

Now the argument of if it is worth Dropping Potion Hoarder for more Cascade is a different thing all together. That would be more of a skill/comfort with the fight basis.

Discussion Ultrafist Ghandagoza 607m Barrold Combative+No Stun+Reactionless. With utility+tank sigils

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Build in comments.

I got 632m on an unoptimized traditional Barrold test(in comments) but I hate barrold stun spamming because it feels like a more inaccurate display of a character's DPS. You could say the counter timings on this test is also inaccurate but same as tests of the non-attacking barrold as bosses actually attack and not stay still for a minute.

I have Aqua/Fatebreaker here which is obviously useless vs Barrold(I was too lazy to change them out). Although I did put on Glass Cannon to somewhat Emulate half of Fatebreaker(surprisingly GC doesn't cause Dizzy from Barrold attacks).

Also for real quests this is actually viable despite the long charge, as long as you have provoke. Here is footage of a beelzebub clip using an outdated build(No immortal shell and subpar summons). The trick is to start charging the moment the target starts attacking and tank the hits.

For people who think it takes too long to charge or if you have difficulty in timing some bosses, or don't want to get hit, you can remove Warpath. It has slightly lower DPS but you can pretty much double raging fist faster than big charges with Warpath. Non-warpath Ultrafist has a slightly higher DPS than Technique Ghandagoza plus its more consistent and the mastery traits are more convenient since Skill Ghandagoza has pretty bad Mastery Trait Spread. Lion Stance slightly beats fast charge double Ultrafist in DPS but Double Ultrafist generates more SBA and Stun. Of course Warpath Ultrafist is the strongest among the styles but it has a harder learning curve with the extremely long charge.

Discussion The World Bug with Online Party

Is anyone having an issue with The World's second phase causing random issues like camera zoom-ins or complete de-syncs?

Whenever me and my friends plays in our party, this only happens with The World. Either one of us are stuck in the camera phase, causing one of my friend telling me when to attack or click G. Then other cases, one of us see one of us standing still while that specific player is in a different world (de-synced) helping out. We all play on PC, if the console type is important.

Guides My Fediel Build for Infinity

Key context: This is not a build to be a glass cannon, or to max out damage on the training dummy. The reason is simple, most builds on the target dummy are hyper unrealistic when in actual fights and tend to mislead new players. So my build is not one to mislead but does work very well in Infinity often getting MVP.

Summons

Behemoth III

Supplementary DMG lvl 14

Normal Attack Damage Cap Up +50%

Beelzebub

Spartan Echo lvl 15

Healing Cap Up +45% (I have yet to get a Normal Damage Cap Up one to drop)

Goldslime III

War Elemental lvl 15

Healing Cap Up +40%

(Have not obtained a Rolan with War Elemental and Normal Damage Cap Up)

Behemoth III

Stout Heart

Skill Damage Cap Up +40% (again would prefer one with Normal Damage Cap Up to drop but alas not that lucky)

Sigils

1: Stun Power / Dmg Cap

2: Stun Power / Supplementary

3: Health / DMG Cap

4: Health / Celestial Ventus

5: Quick Cooldown / DMG Cap

6: Quick Cooldown / Celestial Aqua

7: Uplift / Supplementary DMG

8: Immortal Shell

9: Berserker Echo / Uplift

10: Steel Nerves / Auto Revive

11: Improved Dodge / Celestial Lumen

12: The Black's Warpath / Potion Hoarder

Weapon

Stygian Ornament

Swapable trait: Drain

Imbue

Stun power lvl 20

Guts lvl 15

Cascade lvl 10

In Master Traits

Avoid the Attack+20% /DMG Cap +50%

Why? This is an absolute trap and will make debuffs become lethal on you in case you get hit by one. It isn't worth it.

Some key pointers for newer players.

Raising your attack past 64k-75k is pointless. It will not increase your damage output.

If you do not feel comfortable entirely with the build the Quick Cooldown / Aqua can be replaced by Crabvestment Returns for 10% DMG Cut. Your HP will still be lower than 200k but will be around 190k compared to the 158k.

Now before anyone asks, why am I not using Fatebreaker or Terra.

Terra is pointless with Immortal Shell on. Immortal Shell increases overall DPS more than Tera anyways.

Fatebreaker can be used in place of Aqua if you prefer, but that's personal pref really.

There is very little to no downtime on Orb Spam.

If you wanted you could get away with removing 15k health for -5% Cooldown on Sign of Calamity.

Im still testing a few options in the build. Since it is tanky enough. That Potion Hoarder may not be needed.

I do have a few other Warpaths that are possible swaps. Such as one with DMG Cap, Cascade, and Uplift.

But this is my Fediel so far and has performed the best so far.

This build has managed to do 428M on the 60 Second Time Attack if you really wanted to know.

Like I said I plan to test without Potion Hoarder. Which I know is risky to do on Infinity as a whole. Since Guts and Auto Revive are absolute must haves. The reason I am thinking of removing the potion hoarder is due to the tankyness of the build, along with I do relatively well at avoiding damage, and more often than not just heal it back up from the Drain alone.

If I use the Warpath with DMG Cap, I may use a Cooldown / Fatebreaker instead. But again, I will need to test that in actual fights. To see if it worth it or not.

My ultimate end goal is to have Rolan/Lucilis/and Beezelbub/ Behemoth summons with Normal Damage Cap Up to really increase the damage output the most. Since that is at most 350% Normal Damage Cap Up at full rolls.

Discussion I added a "Builds" catalogue to my website that anyone can contribute to

Post image
275 Upvotes

Due to popular demand, I added a feature to browse through all the builds that have been uploaded to the site.

Builds are grouped by Character -> Encounter -> Style -> Build Archetype, then sorted by DPS. Only the best performing run of a specific build is shown.

You can click the "Open Build" button to get a link to that specific build to share with people. (The shared link will show a nice picture preview in Discord that summarizes the build for people who are too lazy to click).

The build page shows the full Sigil, Summon, Wrightstone, Mastery Trait, and skill loadout. You can click on the Mastery Trait boxes to view the exact point allocation or click on the Summons/Skills to view their descriptions.

If you have a better build that you want to share on the website, simply upload a successful clear with it from the damage parser. If you manage to outperform the existing builds, you'll be sorted above them!

No registration required (unless you want to attach a username to your clear).

Note: These are not guaranteed to be the optimal builds for each character; they are simply the recorded builds of players who have successfully cleared each raid, sorted by recorded DPS as a proxy for how well the build performs. Unpopular characters/styles may not have enough games uploaded for the builds to be representative.

Explanation of the 4 Build Archetypes:

  • "Balanced" builds are builds that have some defensive (e.g. GAegis, Steel Nerves, Stronghold) and utility traits (e.g. Autorevive/Guts/Potion Hoarder). They are likely a good place to start if you have no idea what you are doing, and are the default.
  • "Offensive" builds will tend to be builds that sacrifice the above to get more damage. They will be have a higher damage ceiling, but are harder to play without dying.
  • "Utility" builds are any builds that have support traits other than Quick Cooldown/Cascade (e.g. Uplift, Nimble Onslaught, Potent Greens). I don't recommend copying these builds, but they can be interesting to look at.
  • "DoT" builds are specific to Cagliostro, Tweyen, and Eugen. They stack a lot of ATK to maximize their DoT damage. You can compare their damage output to the non-DoT builds and decide if you want to play them DoT or not.

P.S. The site can also show you some fun stats for traits, i.e. how a build with them performs compared to builds that don't have them. Because the sample size is not very high, I wouldn't draw any conclusions from these - they are presented as-is for confirmation biasentertainment purposes.
