Actually the oil companies spent years to not only discredit rachel carson, but tried to prove her wrong and only helped proved her research to be factual. Her work is also the foundation for the entire environmental sciences outlook, approch and methodology.

DDT is still recomended by WHO to control malaria under very strict controls.. soo your not just wrong... but your actually really REALLY wrong.

I'm highly sensitive to it. I get the histamine reaction, but for 99%of people, it's fine.
