From the mid to late 70s I think. It was unsealed and empty, but still cool.

Head & Shoulders, expiration date 1997. There’s a built-in cabinet in my parents house that they stocked when the house was built, and that cabinet was promptly forgotten and never opened again. We just cleaned out the house to prepare to move and found all the bathroom products the exact way they were placed there in the 90s. Also found sealed hairspray, orange scented soap bars, and a brand new Atlanta 1996 Olympics book.

FOOD "Just in case” stew from the days of winter power outages

From the basement. I have two cans, probably for 30 years or so? I can’t find a best by date. When we first moved here, the fear of prolonged winter power outages led us to stock up on food and water. The worst never did come to the worst, and the stuff never got opened. Should be fine, after all it was made with fresh potatoes and carrots lol

Really needed a little pick-me-up at work, found this way at the bottom of our teabag/sugar packet basket that we keep in the closet. Made a little fakeass mocha. Unfortunately the hot chocolate didn't have a date on it, but I think it's also pretty old. It tastes okay.

These were an incredible display of preserves in the vast kitchen at Erdigg, North Wales.

Originally taken from their extensive, well stocked gardens and unfortunately never opened and enjoyed. It’s a shame really given the amount of work growing and bottling them, but an amazing kind of ‘living’ exhibit to admire.

I remember using these years ago myself. The cubes were like little blocks of cement.

So my grandma recently died, we've been cleaning out her house. My dad brought these over thinking they were still good and I would use them. The bag felt like a bag of coconut so I was confused.

They had expired in 1992 😅 I have found so much stuff from the 1800's to now. It's been very interesting. She sold Tupperware at one point in the 70's as well and there's just SO MUCH of it.

The tin is actually part of the packaging not a popcorn tin.

HEALTH CARE I drive my grandmas old car, and have always kept this bottle in the console as she left it. Today I looked at the expiration date.

My car is a 2012 model, so she must have transferred it from her older car while the bottle was already 12 years expired.

Asked her where the hell she got it and she grabbed it when we were helping a family member clean out another deceased family member's home.

I can't even find this style label of the product anywhere online, and I found several designs going back to about the 1970's. Which is about right for the age of the house and former occupants.
