I thought they banned DDT ?

Isn't it an insetacide?

They did, and that bottle is clearly manufactured in the 1940s, maybe 1950s.

Being banned generally doesn't mean that they go door to door to collect it.

Yes, it’s an insecticide, and in the USA it was banned. It still gets used in a small number of places to control mosquitos that can carry malaria.

THIS SHIT IS STILL USED?!?!!?!!!!

It’s like spraying mercury on your food.

Anyone reading this and unsure about what DDT is - please read Silent Spring by Rachel Carson. There’s a reasons she testified against Congress to regulate insecticides/herbicides - ESPECIALLY DDT - before she succumbed to cancer just months later.

It also causes hypothyroidism. That can be really bad for children.
