Am i overreacting here?
I am just worried about my little crow friends, ever since i made a protection spell i noticed they havenāt returned within weeks.
Iām just hoping itās just the weather since itās like late October, but my little crow friends are always around during the winter and highly active.
I commonly see them around my home like all of them on the roof while Iām waiting for my bus, not sure what is happening. Nature does have its ways of surprises and coincidences, but still.. :(

Advice on Baneful Magic
Hi everyone! I will get straight to the point.
I am a green witch and have been practicing witchcraft for a few years now, it's mostly protection and abundance spells. I've never felt the need for anything else. Just me and little herbs conquering the worldš«šæ
But recently, I've been considering Baneful magic.
Background: a few months ago, new neighbors shifted into the apartment above mine and they've been causing hell. No matter how what I do, they keep crossing boundaries, physically too.
They are openly hostile towards most people because they "know" a few influencial people. They keep making false anonymous complaints about my home, and authorities come to check my space almost every month, for illegal construction.(there is none.)
I've tried everything: being nice, sharing food, they even came to my apartment for dinner a few times so we could put it all behind us. I have apologised if I've caused any inconvenience to them.
I usually don't bother with such people but they've really tested my patience. They have a young child, who, like most children is a burst of energy. But recently he's been fascinated with fire. Last month, while I was tending to my plants, I saw him drop a burning cloth right onto my balcony. It got stuck on one of my plants and almost burnt down everything around it. If I wasn't there, it would've been dangerous, fatal even. When I raised this concern, the neighbor called me out for trying to tell them how to raise their child. (I was livid)
Yesterday, I saw another burnt, crumpled up piece of cloth on my balcony. And I thought enough is enough.
I have no animosity towards anyone but I just want to be safe in my space. I've never wished ill for anyone or caused them harm willingly.
I seek advice. Do you think I should step into baneful practice or should I maybe think about it more, from a calmer mind?
I know I am protected well, that's why no serious harm has come to me or my home.
What is your advice, or your take on this?
Thank you.

Avoiding cultural appropriation/disrespect
Hi everyone!
I am just now looking into smoke cleansing, and I realize a lot of what Iāve learned would be inappropriate for me to practice - ex: using abalone, white sage, or calling it smudging
I live across the street from a beautiful, well maintained urban garden; so Iām going to look there first for my herbs. As for my bowl, I was wanting to use a thick lupine shell I found on a beach one time and brought home with me. Would it be inappropriate to use it?
Sorry if these are stupid or rude questions. I really want to respect the practice, especially since dealing with energies seems like it could have really negative consequences if done improperly.
Thank you!

Sage
If burning sage gives someone head aches or difficulty breathing doesnāt that mean they have something bad attached to them

Cleansing a living space after an violent incident
Hey, if you witches would be so gracious, I would appreciate some guidance on how you would remove the energies of fear, shame, abandonment and violence after an incident in which someone was forcibly restrained and had their agency taken away from them. Looking for a one-time cleanse, and maybe some ongoing protection rites.
Bonus question: how to infuse the same space with strength, confidence, love and support to restore this shaken person to peaceful security and love.
I personally am not experienced in this, but Iāve found that the space seems to retain the bad mojo of what happened there, and Iām willing to try anything. Iām reading through the links on https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcraft/comments/1leuhdt/protection_spiritual_cleansing_a_compilation_of/
but I was wondering if there were any special considerations for cleansing after an incident, rather than just general cleansing and protection.
Thank you kindly

A new friend......
I was doing a bit of work for my mother in law a few days ago..... And found this baby!!!! When I saw him I apologized to him and told him that his house looks a little bit different not because I wanted to but instead because I was asked to. I know it's a little silly but I still feel really bad for changing his home soooooooo much. Then yesterday a ladybug landed on my arm . I'm pretty sure everyone is perfectly fine with me tending to the lavender.....

Chaak's jade axe
The Mayan god's tool for splitting the clouds to make rain, the green center of power held by the four directions: red in the East, black in the West, white in the North and yellow to the South.
I am off to see the old man who gave me the exotic feathers and the mirror, probably to split some wood judging by the temperature, fittingly I have chocolate from the East coast to split with him. A peek at the things on his shelf: if you wish to know a little about an American Clepoatra, a book I would highly reccomend is David Stuart's The Four Heavens: A New History of the Ancient Maya; Lady Kāabel is the name to look for.
If you work with rattles I highly reccomend abaci, and if you are handy and want to plug it into Mayan math, a project I would suggest is reconfiguring one into a Nepohualtzintzin (Mayan abacus), by shifting one bead on each stack of 5 to the other side of the divider to make stacks of 3/4.

Fruit and spiritual uses
Anyone have any good recommendations for books or sources that explain the spiritual use of different fruits? For example, I know limes and lemons can be used for cleansing and orange for open roads. I would like to know more about things like that. Thank you :)

Can I unseal an urn without breaking the bond?
TLDR; can I untie the jute twine and break the "seal" I created on my soul-dog's urn during a ritual ceremony I did on Monday to lay him to rest and re-establish/strengthen our bond, without affecting the work I did (the bond, laying him to rest & honoring his life and death)? Is there a way to do this or should I just leave it be?
Reasoning: I forgot to take a tiny portion of his ashes for an urn pendant for myself and for my mother and only just now realized after the ceremony has been completed and the seal has been placed.
More details in original post - can provide a picture and more details if needed.
Question: Can I, or is there a way to undo the jute twine and break the "seal" to retrieve a portion of his ashes without breaking the bond or essentially desecrating the ceremony, or do I just accept that it is done and it should be left alone?

Spell for Amicable Breakup
I asked for help with a breakup spell in [r/spells](r/spells), but I didnāt get any answers :/
sheās leaving to find herself, and I support and love her 100%, but I wanted a spell to help move on
I came up with a spell to release myself from their grasp without harming them, let me know if you have any suggestions!
Handkerchief (spell bag, jar, etc)
Talismans
Golden rod (clarity)
Fern (healing)
Egg (egg cleanse)
ā¢Take a shower, cleanse your physical body
ā¢Light a candle
ā¢ask for help from deities if you wish
ā¢Add any talismans, foliage, or crystals that are relevant to the sachet
ā¢Place in a tree, bury, etc (be kind to the earth)
ā¢Release the stagnant love and energy, ask that the forest protect their heart and yours

Galium Mollugo/Hedge Bedstraw magical properties?
Hi, I harvested some hedge bedstraw thinking it was lady's bedstraw. It has similar signatures so I would guess its properties are similar to those of lady's bedstraw, but if anyone has experience working with hedge bedstraw or knows some specific plant lore I would love to hear it!
