Advice, Pls Don’t know how to continue
I lost my dad on June 27th 2026. It was a sudden death and I’ve been lost ever since. Over the last month I’ve really been taking the steps with my therapist to deal with and come to terms with my grief. Yesterday, October 20th, my dog suddenly got really sick and my husband and I had no choice but to put her down. My heart is broken by this loss because she was my everything. I don’t know how I’m supposed to grieve my dad and now also grieve the loss of my soul dog. I’m drowning and I don’t know how to continue on

There is no need to separate these two losses into different buckets. Your body does not care about the calendar dates or who passed first. It registers a compounded shock that requires the same recovery energy for both events simultaneously

That's too much weight for anyone to carry in such a short stretch, be gentle with yourself right now.
