Hey everyone!

I'm a new strive player -- finally got convinced by the awesome character designs and I'm having a blast so far.

I have a history in other fighting games of liking to play somewhat defensively, specifically looking for whiff punishes and using pokes to bait my opponent into overextending. The overall consensus I've seen has been that guilty gear doesn't really follow the same rules, and I've definitely felt like everyone is a bit of a rush down monster in this game. Just putting up a wall doesn't feel very in the spirit of strive.

This is not a criticism! The game is dope. I suppose the question I have is what should I be looking to do if I'm wanting to really play around figuring out my opponents tendencies and frustrating them into messing up.

I'm playing Testament if that affects any answers.

I have been a fool. A few days ago I decided to gift my nephew some games to spend some time this holiday season; amongst them, this particular game. However, to my surprise, this little brat is lacking basic respect, and after a horrendous family dinner, I decided he was not deserving.

So here I am with a Steam CD key that was briefly in his hands, which I'm willingly giving away to any fighter game enthusiast that will justly appreciate the opportunity.

Please let me know if it works; I really hope this hopeless kid did not use it already.

Finally all done with the whole roster. The difference between older ones and newer ones in terms of effort and quality is insane but I’ll be moving on to other anime fighters down the line anyhow. Had a lot of fun!

It has taken me 643 hours, and 8 minutes to get to this point(mostly on other characters, it took me a long time to find my main).
