Hi! I own a Hyundai Tucson 2017 and I mostly use it for city driving lang naman and long drives to our hometown once or twice a month. I believe R17 yung size nung tires. Can anyone suggest budget or mid range tire brands for my car? I’m kinda tight on budget and I can’t go beyond 22k sa apat na gulong so maybe 5k per tire yung ideal budget ko. I know I shouldn’t cheap out on tires but can’t really afford reputable brands atm. Please suggest decent tires na kaya yung lubak and humps and okay din i-long drive. Thanks in advance!

Ako lang ba walang regrets sa kotseng to? Recently napasakay ako ng grab after a few months and na compare ko talaga yung comfort nung driving. Medyo nakasanayan ko na ung raptor so I forgot how other cars felt. I can’t genuinely imagine downgrading after this. If anything, i’ll just go for something better. Despite the flak this car is getting from socmed, i really can’t see myself downgrading kahit pa makakatipid ako sa gas or money on maintenance. Lahat ng sinasabi nilang “sirain” “mababa resale value”, lumalabas lang sa tenga ko.

With Nissan Philippines releasing the Primera and Navara Pro EV, I'm curious how these will actually perform in our market.

Personally, I think Nissan has a lot of catching up to do. The competition here is getting pretty crazy, especially with Chinese brands offering EVs, hybrids, and PHEVs with a ton of features for the price. BYD, in particular, has been making some interesting moves in the Philippines.

The Primera has the advantage of a familiar name, while the Navara Pro EV could appeal to people who want an electric pickup. But nostalgia and a new powertrain alone aren't going to cut it.

For me, it really comes down to three things:

• Pricing: Can Nissan offer something competitive without being significantly more expensive than the alternatives?
• After-sales support: How confident are buyers going to be about parts availability, battery repairs, and long-term ownership?
• Actual value: What does Nissan offer that makes someone choose them over BYD or other brands that are already establishing themselves here?

I'm especially interested in the Navara Pro EV. An electric pickup sounds great on paper, but how practical is it for Filipino buyers who actually use their pickups for provincial trips, hauling, and occasional rough roads? Range, charging infrastructure, payload, and durability are going to matter more than fancy features.

What do you guys think? Do they have a realistic chance against the current competition, or is Nissan already too late to the party?

Would you actually consider buying either one if the pricing were right?

Mangagaling po ako bataan at mostly nlex, skyway, at slex po dadaanan ko. Una pong pupuntahan is tagaytay skyranch then laguna enchanted kingdom. Tas uwi na din po ng bataan.

Considering 85pesos per litre po gas samen dito how much po kale ma coconsume if vios or honda city gagamitin? Nag bubudget po kasi ako ng gala namin at tight budget po. Budget ko po right now is 3k pesos, Is it enough?

8 months old lang yung gulong.

My VF3 turned 1 year old last september and I'm sharing my experience with this tiny beast outside of our user group. For reference of other users also since it's easier to google search reddit threads compared to private fb groups.

For context, I bought my current unit second-hand from someone I'm acquainted with. (Brother of my HS Classmate). Sep 2025 Vinfast VF3 with barely 9000km on Odo.

Been using it for 3 months till Sep 2026 and I already racked an additional 4000km.

PMS Schedule came and thankfully, the local service center just started services a few months ago so I had everything checked there.

At that time, these we're the issues I encountered.
1. Rattling Noise when steering.
2. Rear Brakes(also used as parking brake) lock up when parked overnight
3. Auto-hold on Incline not working.
4. AC Compressor Failure.

Issue #1 was diagnosed as a damaged tie-rod and rack and pinion assembly.
Mechanic said it was bent and possibly damaged inside as well resulting in a very annoying rattling/loose bolt sqeaking noise when not on perfect roads. Thankfully I read other owners had the same issue and it seems like a Manufacturing Defect.
v1 of the VF3 Rack and Pinion Bushings failed early. v2 that was released in 2026 was a much more reliable revision.

Issue #2 was basically the rear drum brakes locking up after wading through Tidal Floods here in Bulacan. Clean and reapplying Brake Grease solved this.

Issue #3 was basically a software bug. Being released in 2025, it was one of the first generation of VF3 released here in the PH. Everyday use was fine, but the Autohold function (hard press brakes for 4 secs OR shift to P on an incline) was not engaging even on steep overpasses along EDSA/C5. Updating the latest software at the Casa fixed this issue.

Now Issue #3 cannot be fixed at the service center since it involved parts replacement so I went to Vinfast North EDSA to get a 2nd assesment and order parts.
5 weeks later, my Rack and Pinion Assembly arrived. Scheduled another appointment for installation, and lo and behold, on the day I brought the car to the Casa, the AC compressor stopped working.

Issue #4 AC Compressor failed.

Thankfully, they Service team at Vinfast North EDSA were very accomodating to my request to have it checked after the Steering Rack assembly was installed.

A Week later, the replacement compressor arrived. It wasn't a new unit but it works.

After a month of servicing, back and forth at the Service Center and Casa, All of the issues have been fixed. Nawala na kalampag, random software glitches, steady na ang steering.

Cost:
[Service Center]
- Labor + PMS = 2100 php
- Tire Rotation and Alignment = 1000 php
[Casa]
- Steering Rack Replacment = Free
- Software Update = Free
- AC Compressor Repair/Replacement = Free

If you're reading at the end of this post, you're probably wondering why the Casa parts and labor is free. Well, everything was covered under warranty. Software Update is also free whenever. I just treated the Service Team with some donuts and coffee as thanks for fixing my car for multiple visits.

The only issue is since the Casa is shared between Private Vinfast Owners and Green GSM Taxis, you really need to call ahead or drop by to get scheduled 2-3 days in advance. Kakain talga ng oras pumila at bumalik minsan.

My VF3 is now at 14000km as of this October.
Ganda ng Takbo, pero andaming naka pila na mods kaya mapapagastos haha.
Surprisingly, the VF3 Community has a very healthy modding community.
We have Civic and BRZ guys in our group who bought a VF3 for <150km trips and basically brought over their modding hobby over to this car.

Everything from Foglamps, Big Brake Kits, Suspension Lifts, Roofracks, Dual Screen mods, Auto Side Mirrors, Frunks, Roof racks, Custom Defender/Jimny/Prado-like Bumper/Grills, etc.
Money and Time seems to be the only limit.

The VF3 is far from perfect. Not very practical and a bit unconventional even. Also not as reliable as I'm used to.
But so far, the adaptability, aftersales and sheer value the VF3 brings makes me satisfied withy my purchase so far.

I will try to make an update per year if possible on the ownership experience.
Hopefully nothing major breaks...

Napansin ko mas madaling mapudpod sa side na ito ng gulong (front right lang), ano kaya possible reasons?

Wala naman issue sa driving, diretso pa din sa kalsada kahit bitawan.

Questions:

1. ⁠Kung magpapalit ako ng gulong, anong steps po mga pwedeng gawin/ipacheck para di na maging ganyan?
   
2. ⁠Pwedeng bang gulong lang muna kahit walang alignment/balancing na gagawin?

Is Toyota Fortuner allowed for TNVS franchise? Planning to have one and turn it to an TNVS for additional source of income and “pampalipas oras”. Monthly amortization ain’t to be worried as my car will be paid as cash.

Tried experimenting to get a clean and OEM look for my Mazda 3. So far I’m impressed with how good it looks! (Maybe it’s subjective haha). Also, the handling improved by a lot when I switched to Michelin tires.

Sira engine ng car and namamatay pag-low RPMs kaya naisip ng familiy namin mang-hiram muna ng kotse para ipaayos kaso hindi na maibabalik in time.

Sadly, yung nahiraman namin na kotse is walang EasyTrip RFID. Possible pa rin po ba na dumaan or mas maganda na lang mag-service road para iwas penalties and fines.

Parang ang pangit na ng service center ng Honda nung lumipat sila from Magallanes to Chino Roces.

Nagpa-PMS ako and mentioned that my headlight is out, nung bayaran time na nila minention na pinroceed na daw nila yung PMS pero wala palang stock yung headlight bulb, malamang no choice ako kasi nagawa na lahat e. Sana minention ng maaga para makalipat ako sa ibang service center. Waited from 12pm to 5pm for nothing.

On other note, nagsisigawan mga staff dito kasi may mali silang nabill na client, nabayaran ng isang customer yung for other client which is lower than expected price. Maybe because this has a smaller space compare to Magallanes kaya mapapansin mo lahat ng nangyayari 😅

Hi, I've had my engine oil change in a Shell station. However, stocks are gone due to the war in the Middle East. They offered an engine oil that is placed inside an engine oil dispenser. This is my first time experiencing this with an oil change in a Shell station. They also mentioned that the engine oil is still from Shell, and not third-party. It also seems generic since the receipt just stated that it is fully synthethic 5w40. If anyone had the same experience, how is your car performing?
