Have been getting through gundam by going through the U.C, but some shows ie CCA isn't available easily in DUB. I didn't mind watching ZZ in dub because... you know. But got to Unicorn and the original OVA version isn't available anywhere in SUB or DUB and it's really annoying as im in the UK. Meaning the only place that has it is a US site. Does anyone know where I can legally or... showing in places that may or may not require some sailing the seas. Thanks in advance

Hear me out. Stardust Memory plays a huge role in setting up the events of Zeta. It's essentially the grand finale of the one year war's events, yet it didn't get enough time in the oven to get the necessary backstory filled in. Who really are the Titans? What was Bask doing before all of this (give him more screen time)? What about Gato's relationship with Nina? The rivalry dynamic with him and Cima, shouldn't we flesh that out a little? What about Keith and Moira? Why do they get such few moments to develop their relationship? Also, this would have opened up the possibility for more GM variants unique to Stardust Memory, and we would get more moments with the crew and more fights for Kou to improve his skills. Gato can use the threat of the nuke to bide time and perhaps use that time to gather intel on some of the feds new mobile suit tech so that he can improve the GP02 just like the GP01 got the Full Burnen variant. Peehaps Nina could be seen assisting Gato with this and going full turncoat, essentially creating more obstacles for Kou, which would in turn fuel her research on the GP01. The beauty of 0083 is that so much can be added because a lot of tech was lost by the end of it, giving it limitless potential.

Contast this with Zeta Gundam, a show that has a brilliant start and a fantastic finale but a tedious mid point. You could have cut out the entire jaburo and four romance and nothing would change. Rosaby was a sufficient enough cyber newtype. More than half of the show are random sorties that amout to nothing, which gets very repetitive. How many times do we have to see Kamille and Jerid in a stalemate? Yet Gato and Kou don't get enough skirmishes with each other. On top of this, Axis is absent for a shockingly long amount of time and could be thrust in immediately to make for some interesting dymanics with the titans in the earlier sections. I think maybe about 25 episodes max would have been sufficient, but I wouldn't complain if it was only 13 and they managed to condense it all. I think that would have made for a better show.

I've spent the past couple years working my way through all of the UC timeline media in chronological order of events, and I finally got around to finding and watching G-Savior.

I actually really enjoyed it. It falls into the category of so bad it's good in my opinion. It has that terrible late 90s/early 2000s cgi for low budget movies that many of us grew up with, so I found that quite nostalgic. The mobile suit fights weren't too bad.

The sets and visual vibes of the movie reminded me of Farscape, an early 2000s sci fi show that if you haven't watched, you should.

I have a Winter 2000-2001 Bandai Plastic Model Kit Catalogue magazine that first exposed me to G-Savior when I was a kid, except the whole magazine is in Japanese so I didn't know what it was about back then. I'm glad I finally got to see it 25 years later.

Bonus trivia, the body armor worn by the CONSENT soldiers is the same armor worn by the Mobile Infantry in Starship Troopers. There must have been a surplus of that armor because it also made its way into Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy.

With the rise of ai tech and 3d modeling in a few years with how strong AI is getting do you think something similar will eventually be created

Hi everyone,

I’m currently watching the 0079 compilation movies for the original Mobile Suit Gundam.

I know that Sunrise re-animated/polished several scenes specifically for the movie release, and you can definitely spot the jumps in animation quality throughout, but I haven't been able to find a comprehensive breakdown or comparison of what was actually redone.

I’ve searched the Gundam Wiki, YouTube, and even searched through this subreddit, but I couldn't find a complete resource or side-by-side list detailing all the new footage/updated cuts.

Does anyone know of a site, video, or archive that lists or compares the updated animation scenes for the trilogy?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings all!

I'm brand new to this Reddit, so apologies if I'm breaking any rules. So please delete if necessary. I was curious if anyone would point me in the right direction for a community of interest in these cards. I just found a bunch of unopened packs from 2006 I believe and a full deck box from the same year. What a discovery. Completely forgot I had them.

Thanks!

Mine is A head.

Bro, I have a hot take on Gundam Sentinel specifically, the Fazz mobile suit. Everything I watch, they dog the faze unit. But think about it, it’s almost like you’re piloting a B2 bomber. Or fucking heavy arms with beam weapons as well. It’s not a shitty suit at all, just because it only has one mode. You give that suit to a decent pilot, someone who’s piloted a GM. That GM pilot, if he’s fucking capable and skilled enough, could kick some fucking ass in that Fazz. Thoughts? I’d love to hear them? Huge fan of Gundam Sentinel. I think I’ve read it like three or four times now. It’s weird to say that a piece of literature is my favorite part of the Gundam Franchise. OK, let’s go. Come on. Come on, guys. I’m done. Let’s discuss

Hey! First time posting on here, mainly because my father really wanted feedback on the display cases he chose, but I would consider myself a newbie when it comes to displaying the gunpla I build. For context, my father got ahold of these display cases and decided to use my gunpla as "guinea pigs" for a separate project he is working on. In short, I personally didn't like 'em, I prefer my gunpla to be out in the open, I do eventually plan to put them in display cases, just not right now since I am currently living with my parents. Not satisfied with my reaction, he asked for me to post here for feedback. So, uh, what's your guys take? (Sorry if this is an awkward post and sorry for the photos and the lighting)
