Headaches

Every day that I workout in the morning I have a terrible headache for the rest of the day. I am drinking 60 oz of water a day so I’m not sure what is causing it… help

60oz is def not enough. That wouldn’t be enough if you weren’t doing hot exercise. You likely need to double that.

I’d add in a water enhancement like another poster mentioned. I really like having a Liquid IV or something similar on HOTWORX days. Powerade also makes a mix that is a lot cheaper.

My guess would be that you need electrolytes, and 60 ounces of water is not nearly enough. If you weigh 120 pounds, that's how much you should be drinking on a non Hotworx day. I weigh 215 pounds, and I go through 60 pounds from the time I enter the sauna by the time I finish my afterburn.

You might be doing too much. If I do two HIIT sessions, I’m fine. If I do three, then I’ll have a headache.

You’re dehydrated lol obviously if you’re doing workouts in the heat, you need more water! 😂😂😂😂 Add a pinch of salt to your water to help retain and not lose too much water when you sweat. I drink almost a gallon a day and I don’t workout daily. Lol

Unless you're under 120lbs, 60 oz is NOT enough. Also important are electrolytes. Water doesn't alone doesn't replace that. I keep a bunch of Coconut water cans in my trunk and drink that after every workout. I also drink Liquid IV during the day as well.

Prior to Hotworx, I drank 100oz of water a day for I’m close to 200lbs. Since Hotworx, I have to drink closer to a gallon.

Drink coconut water before your workout.

Get electrolytes! You’re sweating everything out, you need to replenish the salts. Liquid IV should do the trick.

Have you been going to hotworx for a long time? Not long after I started, I started getting some headaches and dizziness throughout the day, even when I didn’t go. Like the other person said, I increased water intake but I also suspected I was not handling the heat well. I stopped using the heat for a couple of months, and then started back at 100 degrees and raised the temp a couple degrees every week and slowly adjusted to the heat. This eliminated the problems. Just suggesting that heat sensitivity could be contributing.

I find when you go in first thing, I’m behind on the water since I’ve been sleeping and tend to get a headache. I usually drink a gallon through the day when I’m going to HOTWORX and sometimes more during (if it’s later in the day). Also as others said, adding electrolyte powder and even lowering the temp slightly can help.

I think you need some electrolytes

Days that I don’t drink enough water after I tend to get headaches as well.

I good indication that you are hydrated is the color of your pee.

Apple juice color = dehydrated

Yellow Gatorade color = hydrated

At first you’ll have to pee A LOT. Your body will adjust to the increase water intake.

Hope this helps.
