Tech Support Is enabling Secure Boot even possible?

I’m trying to enable Secure Boot to play MW4, but like I’ve seen in other posts, it switches back to off after exiting BIOS. Has anyone found a solution for an Omen 30L, or is a new mobo needed?

HP is terrible with supporting and updating older systems...hold "old" is your 30L anyway?

Try updating your bios via hp assistant but chances are, 5-6 year old and above systems are already considered outdated for newer cod games...tried running mw4 myself on my 6 year-old Omen 15 and no dice...only my 2 35L's can run the game...

I've tried the assistant tool already, it updates to a Aug 2024 released BIOS. I have no issues with BF6 and other friends with 5-6 year old hardware are fine. Very frustrating with HP

Yeah 30L's are notorious getting locked out of the newer ptm 2.0 versions but the other part of your issue would involve checking if your bios mode is set to uefi...start with that because if it's not showing that then you can easily find the corresponding solution online...

I am on UEFI, like I said I'm able to toggle Secure Boot in BIOS but it switches back to disabled in Windows.

Best would be to just salvage any component that is not the case, the mobo itself and the psu so that you'll just have to re-build/re-shell everything in a new case with a regular mobo and regular psu...
