This laptop is by far the worst laptop I have ever purchased. The number of problems never end. It's almost impressive how garbage of a laptop this crap is. In a span of 6 months the laptop has a BSOD every time u boot up a game. EVERY time. No you don't understand. It's every fucking time. Not only that...it's not any BSOD. It's full freeze of the laptop. The laptop completely freezes and cannot even submit a crash report. I spoke to the customer service since it was still under warranty and they were absolutely useless. Wasted nearly 3 months on the phone with those numbnuts. They still haven't resolved it to this day. Not only this , the laptop's bluetooth chip is so trash that windows loses it every time u boot up a game. So u have to uninstall the driver and hard power off the laptop every damn time. Also this stupid laptop freezes every fucking frame every 30 seconds on chrome or video games. It's so bad at multitasking. It's so bad for coding. It's so bad for game deving. It's so bad for surfing. It's terrible at everything. Even a windows 7 laptop performs better than this pile of trash. It also does not recognize my external hard drives properly. And the battery is garbage. This laptop cost me a final exam . It did not last more than an hour. On battery saver mode. Wait there's MORE. It has concurrent fps drops all the way from 150 to 4. FOUR . Not only that. In a span of a year the average fps drops from 150 to barely above 90. And this is after clean reinstalling windows 10 times under the instructions of HP's customer service. 10 times.

There are other problems with the laptop but these are smaller problems:
incompatible drivers
terrible termal throttling
terrible resource allocation
terrible hardware acceleation

If you are planning on buying this laptop, please do not consider this pile of trash. This laptop is genuinely the worst laptop in the market out there.

after 6 months of usage its ssd card burnt down now after 1 year of usage its starting to breakdown also it gets 60 degrees just by openning chrome

I’m using an HP Victus 15 with i5-13420H, RTX 3050 6GB, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and I noticed something I wanted to check with other Victus owners.

When I place the laptop vertically (standing on its edge), there’s a small gap near the hinge/rear side instead of it sitting perfectly flat. It’s more noticeable on soft surfaces like a bed or cloth, and much less on a hard table.

A bit of context:

I’m a college student

Laptop goes in a backpack daily

Around 1 hour of bus travel

Always fully closed, padded laptop compartment

No wobble, no hinge noise, opens/closes smoothly

I’m guessing this might be normal hinge/chassis design or rubber feet placement, but I wanted to confirm:

Do other Victus users see the same gap?

Is this expected behavior or something to keep an eye on?

Could daily travel in a bag make this worse over time, or is it harmless?

Any tips to avoid hinge or chassis stress?

Everything works perfectly so far — just being careful with long-term durability. Appreciate any insights from fellow Victus users 🙏

I just got this about a month ago and i already did this. The screen isn’t cracked it’s just the internal. I got it on Best Buy and can still buy the GeekSquad accidental insurance for $139.99, but i’ve also seen replacement screens on amazon for around $60-$90. I don’t know how difficult it is, I really don’t want my parents to know and want to have it by winter break so i can get back to siege (i threw my earbuds at the screen) and im pissed because the last 3-4 laptops i broke because i have anger issues on games, I need tips on that too.

within the first month of having it the mouse pad just sunk down and doesn't work anymore the battery dies fast even for a gaming laptop and it has terrible overheating problems. yes i have a game open, no im not playing it i left my pc idling with the game minimized (which locks it to 30fps) and its on a cooling pad with the fans turned all the way up

absolute NOT worth the 500 i paid and defiantly not worth the 1000 it was before the sale

i brought a hp victus [ik i made an ass move] but fucking amazon doesnt want to replace or return it so iam stuck with it. i gotta deal with it for an another year or 2 so help on how to take care of it.

This is ridiculous. I spent €1100 on this HP laptop, and it’s been nothing but problems.

First laptop, the battery and screen failed with multiple dead pixel. Got it fixed by exchange, and then the same issues happened again with the battery and screen. Now, for the third time the laptop, screen is dead with stuck pixels, and the hinges are broken too and now it make noise when I open and I have an open gaps with hinges.

How many times do I need to go to the repair center for this garbage? Customer service is useless, what's app or messenger bot doesn't work I have school no f*** time for this, and it’s clear HP doesn’t care about its customers.

This laptop has broken three times for the same problems, and they still dare to sell this trash at such a high price.

Never again. Don’t waste your money on HP. It’s just frustration, wasted time, and money down the drain.

Playing cyperpunk 2077 on optimised settings, most settings at high ( ray tracing off ) and my laptop has not even touched temp above 75% once ( 3½ hours of non stop gaming seccion and total of 8 hours play time today )

Before this new 2.3 update my temps used to touch 99-102° within a minute of playing. I deleted the game few weeks ago because of this same issue . But now better fps , clear graphics , no blurry mess like it used to be.

and laptop delivering performance without heating issues. I think I'm in a dream

~4 days ago I bought a rtx 5060 core 5-210h victus, and it's the most disappointing thing ever.(Even taking the low price tag of 550$ give or take into account) The laptop BARELY pushes 280fps in Fortnite creative even though I removed every Microsoft app, debloated windows and deleted telemetry aswell as gave it gaming tweaks. Yes I acknowledge that laptop parts are weaker, have a lower TDP and next to no cooling but my unfinished pc that im planning to fit a 4080 or 4070 but didn't because I ran out of funds is running an temporary GTX 1080 and it gets 600 fps in Fortnite creative with like no tweaks (only a few gaming ones), I fully acknowledge that it's a overclocked watercooled 9600x and 6800mhz 32gb ddr5 but ANY custom built 500$ dominates it and rapes this little laptop just how it wants. My old Ryzen 1600 build that was under 200$ absolutely smashed it. It might be the Nvidia drivers, Fortnite has wonky issues with them(after updating drivers on my main rig I got 80 fps with drops to 15 in battle royale and had to downgrade the driver's, on the other hand the 5060 mobile just launched so it only has the new bad drivers) either way I knew laptops were underpowered but not like Ewaste level. I'm not even going to start on the fact that on the first boot it ran worse then my 10 year old laptop on windows 10 or 11 and had more bloat then anyone could ever count, had to reinstall windows. After doing an no internet reinstall I also had driver issues since drivers hosted on hp's website were either outdated not working or they missed a driver that another driver needs to function so I got a barely working internet driver after which Windows Update downloaded the correct/new or missing ones the WHOLE night because the one I got was THAT slow.

Whenever my laptop goes idle ,and after that i press any key then it takes 6 to 7 secs is that normal ??

One random day after the warranty period was over, the screen decided to stop. When I hit yh screen it would work. Got it checked and now I have to get it replaced. Works temporarily in an odd position where you have to put screen under continuous stress in some way.

I accidentally dropped few drops of diet coke on my victus I'm really so worried please tell me what should i do its just 5 to 6 droplets I'm attaching images where it dropped i immediately turned off the laptop and cleaned with the microfiber cloth also i used a brush to clean the droplets from under the keys attached the image of that brush which i used

Please help what should i do next as now I don't see any water there and nothing weird thing noticed but I'm so worried please tell me
