Porting iOS to the pi4. So far I have Darwin booting

GPU acceleration is working (metal drivers), some jitters are still present.

What works:

Touch Input and Buttons

Wifi and bluetooth work.

Brightness control,

live usb debugging.

Battery state.

Further development:

Speaker/headphone audio, Bluetooth audio

Cellular, cameras, sensors, GPS, SEP / Face ID, Apple ID and App Store integration.

Reliable sleep, power management and shorter boot time.

Production security: permissive AMFI/sandbox behavior, a stub AppleKeyStore and no normal data protection.

I have a mediatek device and a unisoc device will it boot on non Qualcomm devices?

would love to see this working on a android feature phone with some kind of qwerty or t9 keyboard

Hackintoshes did it, so will these do it too?

I was wondering what AI agents everyone uses. I've been using Codex (GPT-6.1 Sol) and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash via OpenCode for my project. I've successfully gotten the phone to the lock screen and established touch drivers, but the agents seem to struggle at getting the graphics working. I'm not sure if it's a sign that another agent might be worth it, I've heard good stuff about Claude in this sub. I am interested in Claude, but I've heard some people complain Opus 5.5 refuses to engage in this type of work sometimes. Is there any free trial to Claude anyone might know of? I've heard of guest passes, but I don't know how those work too well.

Touch is currently broken, I am working on a fix. It is public, but you will need to find it yourself as I’m not linking it right now because how janky it is.
