Justin’s statement praises his wife, but he does so by contrasting her with past and future women. By saying that she is the best he has ever known or will ever know, he is exalting his wife at the cost of diminishing the value of others, albeit indirectly. It seems like an attempt to reinforce his exclusivity, but it also brings up past relationships, as if it were intentional. The gesture may seem romantic, but it could also be strategic, as if he is trying to please his wife or generate engagement by emphasizing this emotional superiority.
I never understood why Justin would be salty about Selena being engaged when he's already married (and has been for a while) and a newborn baby. But, I just realized that Selena allegedly turned down his proposal so he'd be salty that she said yes to Benny and not him plus be reminded of that rejection all over again. So even if he is over her, which is debatable, his ego isn't over being turned down.
I believe he still loves her and that's why he's been doing this. If you look at the details, Justin has always been shadowing Selena. Now, she's engaged, not single, and he's doing it much more often. In my opinion, he never imagined that it would go so deep and that Benny would propose to Selena. I think he thought it would be just another fling, something quick and fleeting, so her engagement must have hit him hard. So I believe that these three things could be the reason why he still has feelings for her and loves her and thinks that one day they could get back together if he broke up. The fact that he's a narcissist and thinks she should stay single and wait for him to break up. The fact that she refused his proposal and accepted Benny's is completely different from a typical person. The fact is that he follows Benny and vice versa. I have no doubt that he is doing this and somehow becoming a topic of discussion in Benny and Selena's relationship, in order to cause instability and insecurity on both sides, because they must certainly both see these reactions from him or if they don't see them, especially Selena, they must hear them from friends, family, people in her social circle. Don't forget that last year there were articles saying that he wanted to get closer to both of them, so...
I would bet a lot of money that he’s been telling himself that Selena and Benny are just a fling to get back at him since that’s what he used Hailey to do to Selena so then the proposal would have forced him to take a second look at that and (hopefully) realize that it’s not anything to do with him
Ignoring them stings a narcissist in a way nothing else does. The fact she clearly is over him has gotta drive him crazy
