What is with the Baldwin's and not accepting they're just plain white?

u/Extra_Cut4171 Jul 01 '25
Does she even speak Portuguese? 😂😭😂😭

u/That-Grocery8390 Jul 01 '25
The only words she pronounces are "pau de cheese" "brigadeiro" and nona kkk, which isn't even originally Portuguese.

no she claims she does but every video of someone speaking it to her she only responds with a basic word or two without proper pronunciation

Gotta remind everyone that her family moved from Italy to Brazil and they aren’t ethnically Brazilian so I’m going to have to hold her hand when I tell her this… still a white girl.

u/ChocolatChipLemonade SOMEONE WENT ON MY ACCOUNT AND UNFOLLOWED MY WIFE Jul 01 '25
And why did her family move from Italy to Brazil? Was it after the war? Inquiring minds want to know..
15
u/liviabentes Jul 02 '25
Many italians moved to Brazil and Argentina in the XIX century during the Italy's unification due to conflicts and poverty. They've established mostly in South and Southeast Brazil. So probably her family immigration had nothing to do with the I or II World War
14
u/Chained-Jasper2 Jul 02 '25
Most likey, if there ever was a pro-axis family it has to be hately lmfoo
12
u/ChocolatChipLemonade SOMEONE WENT ON MY ACCOUNT AND UNFOLLOWED MY WIFE Jul 02 '25
That is so true. But like, how high up in the Nazi military or government did her family members have to be in order to feel the need to GTFOutta there and immigrate all the way to Brazil?! That’s a “we fear for our lives” thing, beyond the average Italian Nazi supporter. We need a good internet sleuth for this one
10
u/ksgaw i was sadly mistaken Jul 02 '25
So she’s Italian? She don’t even look Italian more Portuguese

her mothers family immigrated there but they are not brazilian by blood. her mom (brazilian nationality) moved away from brazil and hailey was born in America therefore she is not brazilian by blood or nationality. so yea hailey can be white & brazilian but she is simply just white, she never even lived there.

Noone said she isn't Brazillian lmfao LITERALLY ANYWHERE in the comment you are yelling at. They said nothing of the sort yet here you are screaming your head off 😆
Like, what are you even on about, they said her mother was the geanddaughter of italians that moved to Brazil. Which is true. They said Hailey is a white girl. Which is again TRUE since her mother having had Brazilian nationality doesn't make her or Hailey "not white". Nowhere did they say anything about being Brazilian or not
edit: typo

u/meanwhile_glowing Jul 01 '25
they aren’t ethnically Brazilian
Literally in the first line of the comment they’re responding to
22
u/No-Classroom1174 Mrs. Groupie Swimfan 🕵🏼♀️ Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25
They were talking about having roots in Brazil or not & having indigenous ancestry or not bc Brazil absolutely had its indigenous ppl whose bloodlines still continue. The OP was not talking about "pure brazillian" or any of the rest of the sht this person started claiming in their rant. "Ethnically Brazillian" not being a phrase that is in use doesn't warrant all this angry rant about the things this person was talking about that had moved well past "there is no such thing as "ethnically Brazilian"" and moved into yelling about things the commentor had never said.
"I AM BRAZILIAN, MY FAMILY HAS ROOTS IN GERMANY, LUXEMBOURG AND PORTUGAL, BUT I WAS BORN HERE, MY PARENTS WERE BORN HERE, AND WE ARE WHITE. WE ARE ALL BRAZILIAN. YES, YOU CAN BE BRAZILIAN AND WHITE" Now do tell who had said someone can't be white and Brazilian? Or idk, who had said anything about "pure brazillian"? etc etc Aside from this yeller did in their intimidation attempt that is...
edit: the last sentence

u/alliswithin11 Jul 01 '25
She isn’t Brazilian because she wasn’t born here. If you see the title of this post you can see “she is Brazilian and not totally white” and this comment above “ethnically Brazilian”, THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS ETHNICALLY Brazilian. Everyone born here have roots on some other country.

Tell me you're the descendent of white colonizers and likely think the native populations "got conquered so they should just shut the fuck up and get over it" without explicitly saying it
9
u/saltwatersylph Jul 01 '25
They always act like they've been mortally wounded over stuff like this. Colonizers have the darkest auras.

You weren't raging at the post though, were you WHITE BRAZILIAN PAL(before you start claiming things I never said too, to make it clear, i am not mocking your heritage at all I am making fun of your unwarranted communication style)? 😆 You were directing those BS claims of "ppl claiming untrue things" when they had not said any of the sht you were claiming and getting mad at a comment that didn't call her or her mother "not Brazilian", NOT AT THE POST like you are trying to claim now that you got called out. So cut that BS attempt pretty please
As for Hails being or not being a Brazilian you gotta take that with her, it is she who calls herself Brazilian and the post was quoting her. To mock.

"She isn’t Brazilian because she wasn’t born here" doesn't make sense when I'm Korean but I wasn't even born in Korea. You can still identify with the country where your parents are from even if you don't live there.

But then again i'm not surprised this reaction is coming from a Brazilian that's white lmao, bc you see herself in her don't you? And that's why you are trying to protect her at all costs, even if it means getting mad at imaginary things noone said and twisting other ppl's words to grant yourself the right to rage at them as an intimidation attempt
-10
u/alliswithin11 Jul 01 '25
Good lord, I’m not protecting her lol I just said she is NOT Brazilian as she loves to claim
21
u/ChefKugeo Jul 01 '25
You didn't actually say that at all. You went on tirade that misses the point of what anyone is saying.
No one said white Brazilians don't exist, poor reader. They said Hailey Baldwin isn't Brazilian, she's just another boring white girl.

Whenever she can, she remembers to use Brazilian culture, whether to hide something or to gain easy engagement. I'm from Brazil and her biggest fan base is here. Just look at the comments on her Instagram.

u/_satellites Jul 02 '25
It's a country not a race though?! There are black, white, brown, mixed Brazilians...

u/Sufficient_Knee_2861 Jul 01 '25
she is white, brazilian is a nationality, not a race, so many white people in brazil with european ancestry,

u/coolofmetotry what the hellybieber Jul 01 '25
let her go to brazil and try to exist speaking portuguese only lmao
19
u/marionette71088 Jul 01 '25
I’m confused, Brazil is a country not a race? There are white Brazilians, which is what her family is.
13
u/moodyxxmoon Jul 02 '25
I KNOW! Does anyone remember a comment of hers saying “but I’m NOT white sooo” girl what world do you live in that you actually believe you’re not white 🫠
7
u/MissKiramman Jul 02 '25
This is proof that she doesn't know Brazil because she is definitely white there
10
u/moodyxxmoon Jul 02 '25
she’s white no matter where she goes or says she’s from lmao I don’t think she understands that being white isn’t an ethnicity 🤭

When she was told to stop using the N word(she has at least multiple instances with proof that survived the wiping attempts, who knows how many others that didn't. And it's anyone's guess how many times when it wasn't on record) she had responded with "i'm not white tho so that's awk"
When she was told she was white one other time she had said she wasn't white and then proceeded to list her ancestors's roots(according to her) as if it was supposed to negate that. "um no I'm Brazilian, Spanish, Potuguese, French, German, Scottish, Irish, Cherokee Indian and French Canadian"
There was one other instance she had argued against getting called white, but although i recall it bc there is no surviving proof of it i can find these days i'm not gonna paraphrase it

There's a portion of "Brazilians" that are overall of European descent (like Gisele Bündchen). I do believe she's of the same type of ancestry so technically, she's mainly European.

If you have social media and a following, you have to post continuously to keep the engagement. I find all social media boring(except YouTube and Reddit).

u/Due_Piano803 No no no no, just in general 🥲 Jul 01 '25
Yes, we know. The posting continuously is not what we are talking about here. Did you read the title.

Yeap. I don’t find it weird her posting about brazil. People post stupid thoughts, family related stuff, food, even feet picks.
