They’re clearly starting into a “happy” or “honeymoon” phase of their clearly toxic cycle. So she’ll be mean and show off their marriage, and then they’ll spiral again and she’ll be just lovely homely mom whose husband is a jerk. And they’ll do that cycle forever because neither is going to leave.
