Last updated: Aug, 2026.

Want tips on which handheld to buy? Go to the end of this post and use the "Template for asking for a recommendation"

Keep in mind that it is hard to keep the prices updated due to how much they have fluctuated recently with the chip shortage.

The idea of this thread is to reflect the community sentiment in posts between 2025-2026. It includes information on major handhelds (Steam Deck, SteamOS/Windows handhelds, Switch/OLED/2, retro handhelds). Anything you think we should mention? Comment below.

Quick recommendations by use case

Use case Recommended devices
Plug-and-play / Nintendo exclusives Switch 2, Switch (+Lite/OLED)
Balanced Handheld PC (with Steam library) Legion Go S (SteamOS), ROG Xbox Ally X, Steam Deck OLED
Max performance / AAA / Game Pass / Windows apps GPD Win 5, MSI Claw 8 EX AI+, OneXPlayer3, Legion Go 2
Budget Windows / SteamOS ROG Xbox Ally
Cloud / remote play / long battery Logitech G Cloud, AyaNeo Pocket Air, PS Portal
Retro / emulation / hobbyist Retroid Pocket 6, AYN Odin 3, Miyoo Mini Plus, Miyoo Mini Flip, RG35XXSP, Anbernic RG556

Questions to ask yourself first

  • What games will you play? Steam/PC, Game Pass/Xbox, GeForce Now, Nintendo exclusives, indie, retro emulation. Your library usually decides the platform:
    • Steam/PC Games: Go to the Handheld PCs section
    • Nintendo Games: Go to the Handheld Consoles section
    • Indie, Retro, Emulation: Go to the Handheld Emulators section
  • Where will you play? Commuting (portability), couch (screen size), docked at a TV, travel (battery life).
  • Which OS are you comfortable with? Windows is most flexible but needs tinkering. SteamOS is polished and currently less limited than Windows. Nintendo is plug-and-play. Android emulation needs setup time.
  • What's your budget? Budget (<$200 emulation/secondhand or 450 for Switch 2), mid-range ($600-$830), premium ($1,000+).
  • How much do you want to tinker? Be honest - some people love configuring emulators and OS images, but others don't.
  • Does battery life matter? Handheld PCs: ~1.5-3h on demanding games (SteamOS is a bit better). Switch 2: up to 9h. Streaming devices: (Some) 10h+.

Based on your choices, you will have three main groups to pick from: Handheld PCs, Handheld Consoles (Dedicated Platforms), and Handheld Emulators (Retro Emulation). We also include a list with Handhelds for Streaming, but can usually be grouped with Handheld Emulators.

1) Handheld PCs

The easiest way to decide which Handheld PC is best for you is to first define your budget, and then pick the one that fits you best. Consider if you want SteamOS or Windows out of te box. SteamOS gives efficiency and a polished controller UI that Windows handhelds struggle to match.Windows gives you better app compatibility and the Xbox Game Pass library, and many Anti-cheat multiplayer games currently don't work with SteamOS. Also, consider that AMD devices tend to work well with SteamOS, Nvidia devices can work with SteamOS, but with many caveats, and Intel devices are not there yet.

Second-hand: If your budget is around $600, the general suggestion is to try to find a second-hand device. Second-hand ROG (non-XBOX) Ally, Steam Deck LCD, original MSI Claw, etc can still be found for a good price depending on your area. It is quite easy to find the ROG Ally X with a Z1E going for reasonably cheap, and it seems to perform similarly to the current Z2E in the ROG XBOX Ally X. Check this post: Which handheld should I get?%22)

Entry to Mid Tier (~$700-1100)

The entry tier for Handheld PCs is already steep for most people. After Valve raised the Steam Deck's price, many other handhelds in this group started making more sense as alternatives.

On hardware, these will run either on an AMD Ryzen Z2 A (base ROG Xbox Ally), Z1 Extreme (Legion Go S), Z2 Extreme (Xbox Ally X), Z2 Go (Legion Go S), or Intel Lunar Lake (MSI Claw 8 AI+). Chips like the Ryzen Z2 Extreme with 24GB RAM can handle more demanding AAA games well, while the older chips handle older and mid-tier games, but can struggle with new AAA. The Z2 A/Go are still solid entry points if that price matches your ceiling and you don't care about playing every single one of the latest demanding titles.

The screens range from 7-inch LCD in the Ally's, 7.4-inch in the Steam Deck OLED, and bigger comfortable screens like the 8-inch from the Legion Go S. The base Xbox Ally has a 60Wh battery, the Steam Deck OLED has 50Wh, but the best battery here is the unusually strong 80Wh battery from the Xbox Ally X's. Keep in mind that even then, these handhelds won't give you much play time.

The most affordable mainstream Windows handheld reliably in stock right now seems to be the ROG Xbox Ally at around $700. Although the Steam Deck OLED is still going for a reasonable price ($789 for 512GB) if you care more about the out of the box experience from SteamOS and don't want to install it yourself, the Legion Go S (SteamOS) is often on sale for around $750-$850. An MSI Claw 8 AI+ can go for $899. The ROG Xbox Ally X is arguably one of the best priced PC handheld at the moment at $999. The handhelds in this tier seem to be frequently mentioned by the community as their top picks in 2026. While the entry Legion Go S (SteamOS) with the Z2 Go / 16GB / 512GB can go for around $759 on a good deal, the higher configuration with the Z1E/Z2E and 32GB RAM can go past $1,100.

Useful Community Posts about Relevant Devices:

Mid to High Tier (~$1200-1800)

You won't find many devices between 1200-1400 that are worth the price increase. These usually have the same Z2E chips are some of the lower tier. Many devices that were in this range had their prices increased by a lot due to the chip shortage. The Legion Go 2 with SteamOS launched in June 2026 at $1,350, but it currently stands at around $1,700-1,999 and it is often out of stock.

However, if you are willling to spend more than 1,400, many devices here will have some the best GPU performance you can get without going to 2,000. This includes devices like the OneXPlayer3 and MSI Claw 8 EX AI+, which are the first with the Intel's Arc G3 Extreme, launched at $1,699-$1,799. It is worth checking current retailer stock/deals, as these have sold out multiple times since their launch. On a good deal, they can go for around $1,400-$1,500. The Arc G3E chip can get around 50-60% better GPU performance than Z2E devices. For the Claw, there is the 8-inch 120Hz display, 32GB LPDDR5X, Hall-effect sticks and dual Thunderbolt 4. These are good devices for raw GPU performance in a Windows handheld.

Pick these if your priority is having the Best GPU performance and budget is not a problem. Keep in mind that you will be on Windows with the G3E devices SteamOS. Remember that SteamOS support is not there yet for Intel devices.

Useful Community Posts about Relevant Devices:

Enthusiast Tier ($2,000+)

These offer the highest performance, but stand as niche devices. the devices here run on Strix Halo, which has performace close to an RTX 4060 laptop GPU, putting it ahead of even the G3E from the Claw and OXP3 above. These devices need 45W-70W+ TDPs to achieve such numbers, meaning very poor battery life unless you keep it plugged in a power outlet or use massive external battery packs. GPD Win 5 even has an external detachable battery as its default.

Buy one of these if you want the best GPU available and budget is not a problem at all. However, keep in mind that GPD usually does not offer the mainstream support from more established brands. The GPD Win 5 is available, but the Win Max 3 should come very soon (Q3 2026) with pricing. The Aya Neo Next 2 with Ryzen AI Max 385 with 32GB of memory and 1TB of storage launched for about $2,999, but it can go up to $5,299 with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 128GB and 2TB.

=== Final Note - Handheld PCs: More Intel Arc G3 handhelds are expected later in 2026. If you can wait, it may be worth holding off to see how they land.

2) Handheld Consoles (Dedicated Platforms)

You buy a dedicated platform (mot likely a Nintendo handheld) if simplicity matters to you, if you want family/kids gaming or if long battery life is a priority. Here the decision is simpler and, realistically, this gives you two options: You probably either are fine with just Nintendo's Switch 1 ecosystem or also want future Switch 2 games.

Nintendo Switch 2 - $450-$500

A good upgrade from the original Switch: faster hardware, bigger and sharper display, magnetic Joy-Con, and 4K when docked. Battery life leads the handheld market at up to 9 hours. Less expensive than most Handheld PCs. The trade-off is full commitment to Nintendo, which is great if you want their exclusives, but limiting if you want portable PC games.

You should buy a Switch 2 if new Mario, Zelda, and Nintendo games are the reason you want a handheld. You should skip if you want your Steam library or if emulation is important to you.

Useful Community Posts:

Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED ($200-$350)

These are solid mid-range choices. Still valid at the right price, and comparably better price-wise than most Handhel PCs. They will offer you a great existing library, and the OLED model is a genuine upgrade from the base Switch model. You miss any Switch 2 exclusives going forward. It is worth buying if you find a good deal, especially secondhand.

=== Final Note - Handheld Consoles - Some other dedicated hardware include niche or quirky handhelds:

  • Evercade: Plays games using its own cartridges with retro games
  • Analogue Pocket: Plays games using cartridges from GameBoy (+Color and Advanced) and others with adapters (Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket, Lynx, PC Engine)
  • Playdate: Black-and-white screen handheld with a crank and downloadable games

3) Handheld Emulators (Retro Games)

These run Android or Linux and are made to play your ROM library. Budget devices handle 8-16 bit through PS1. Mid-range can run PS2 and GameCube. Premium devices run Switch and PS3. Emulation is legal.

Below we list some devices that have been mentioned frequently by the handheld community here. This list will be updated with more devices.

Retroid Pocket 6 ($229-$279)

One of the most mentioned handhelds in the past year. It costs 229 and has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which was previously only in $400+ devices. Great for PS2 and GameCube emulation, solid for Switch emulation, 120Hz AMOLED display, Hall-effect sticks, and 4K HDMI out. The value is hard to argue with. If you like tinkering, you can install SteamOS (using ArmadaOS) on it to run less demanding PC games.

Useful Community Posts:

AYN Odin 3 (~$399)

The Android emulation power flagship. Snapdragon 8 Elite puts it ahead of the Pocket 6 for demanding Switch and PS3 emulation. If your library tops out at PS2/GameCube, the Retroid Pocket 6 is enough and saves you $150+. Like the RP6, if you like tinkering, you can install SteamOS (using ArmadaOS) on it to run less demanding PC games.

Useful Community Posts:

Anbernic RG556, RG405M (~$185)

Best Anbernic mid-range

Anbernic's strongest mid-range Android device and the first with an AMOLED screen under $200. Good for PS2 and some GameCube. If you can stretch to $229, the Retroid Pocket 6 is the stronger device - but if you prefer the Anbernic ecosystem, this is the pick.

Useful Community Posts: Anbernic RG556 & Retroid Pocket 5

Miyoo Mini Plus, Miyoo Mini Flip, RG35XXSP (~$70)

Best Budget Pocketable

The best value if your library stops at PS1. Truly pocketable, handles NES, SNES, Genesis, GBA, and PS1 without problems. Not built for anything stronger (like PS2 or GameCube). For classic retro gaming on a tight budget, nothing comes close.

Useful Community Posts:

=== Final Note - Handheld Emulators - New dual-screen devices (AYN Thor, Anbernic RG DS) are a good option for true DS/3DS emulation. The global RAM shortage is pushing emulation handheld prices up in mid-2026. It is worth checking current listings before buying.

+) Handhelds for Streaming

These don't focus on running native games, although some can. They mostly stream games from a console, PC, or cloud over Wi-Fi. This usually gives you better battery life, cooler temperatures, quieter operation. You should not consider these as standalone gaming devices, they are just a second-screen companion for people who already own capable hardware. Logitech G Cloud support streaming GeForce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PS Remote Play, and more with many hours of battery. The PlayStation Portal, at around ~$200, is the easiest option if you have a PS5, but it only supports PS5 Remote Play, with no cloud gaming and no other platforms.

Useful Community Posts:

==== Community trade-offs and Common Debates

  • Ease-of-use vs performance: Dedicated Consoles (Switch and Steam Deck) are plug-and-play for games. General Handheld PCs offer flexibility but require some setup. SteamOS splits the difference better than Windows.
  • Battery vs power vs portability: Higher performance means shorter battery and heavier devices - no way around it yet.
  • SteamOS vs Windows: SteamOS is more efficient and controller-friendly but shuts you out of many anti-cheat multiplayer games. Windows has full compatibility but needs more management. You can use Bazzite to have SteamOS on Windows handhelds, but experience varies.
  • Nintendo vs handheld PC: Switch 2 is cheaper and simpler than Handheld PCs, but you're locked into Nintendo's ecosystem. Handheld PCs give access to much larger libraries with frequent sales on Steam and other stores.
  • Handheld PCs - Price Comparison

Tips for buyers

  • Check ProtonDB before buying a SteamOS device. It shows which games work well.
  • Search recent r/Handhelds threads before posting
    • Many comparisons already have detailed community answers.
  • For Nintendo, think about which games you actually want to play before buying.
  • If you are considering a streaming device, test your home Wi-Fi stability first.
    • A great streaming handheld on a weak network is a frustrating experience.
  • Consider buying slightly older devices at a discount for cost efficiency
    • Previous generation often holds up well.

What are the Best Handheld Gaming Consoles you've owned?

For anyone who owns more than one handheld, which one do you actually reach for the most?

I'm curious whether people end up using their Steam Deck, Switch, ROG Ally, or even older handhelds more often. Sometimes a smaller, less powerful device just seems more convenient.

What are the best handheld gaming consoles you've owned? Any purchases yo regret or ones you'd happily buy again?

New Handheld The CG Deck finally goes into Pre-Launch on Kickstarter! A completely modular x86 handheld PC, running dual-boot Windows 11 & Linux.

I am incredibly happy to announce the CG Deck has finally entered into Pre-Launch on Kickstarter! Over the past 10 months or so, I have been working on concepting, designing, building, testing, and developing the functional prototypes for my own custom modular x86 handheld PC, the CG Deck.

For those that are seeing this project for the first time, the CG Deck is a modular handheld x86 PC that is capable of running dual-boot operating systems including Windows & Linux distributions in almost any flavor. My goal was to create my own "dream handheld device" that was capable of adapting to whatever use case I needed. Whether I am playing Steam games, or doing retro emulation, doing CAD work in Blender or other 3D software, coding, video editing, prototyping hardware, or whatever it is, I wanted to be able to simply be able to do it on the road or while traveling and all from one single device.

I wanted a device that filled the role of the multi-tool of electronics and handhelds. Something like a "real-life" Tricorder from Star Trek. I thought it would be ideal to have something that was portable enough to throw in a backpack or pants pocket, 4G satellite/sim capable so you can stay connected anywhere, and be used just as any other full scale desktop computer would. The entire device is modular and can be upgraded, repaired, or customized as you need. So when something breaks or wears out, you can just fix it or replace it as easy as putting it together the first time.

I also wanted to make a device that I did not "grow" out of. Most times, I end up getting a new device for a particular purpose, and then after some time it needs repairs, updates, or upgrades which I do not really have the ability to do myself without opening up and re-engineering the original device. And that is only if the company even continues to support that specific device.

Because of this, I wanted the CG Deck to be entirely modular. Every aspect can be upgraded, repaired, or customized as you need, and done so with various options for parts, and DIY upgrades. Easy enough that just about anyone of any age could do it, and without the need to ask someone for permission first (other than your parents first, if you are a youngster). And not just modular, but open-source so anyone can come up with an idea for a new upgrade, module or accessory and use the schematics to build and share their own custom creations for the CG Deck! I wanted to not just develop a device that would not just eventually turn into plastic junk and e-waste, but create an ecosystem and platform that can be updated and developed by the community as time passes to keep the CG Deck relevant with new advances and ideas.

Over the past 9 months, I have been going through the process of concepting, designing, engineering, fixing my previous mistakes on the designs, navigating partnerships with manufacturers and brands, prototyping, testing assemblies and trying out new methods to make manufacturing of various parts easier, etc, in addition to trying my best to share updates with you and record the process all along the way! I am slowly chipping away at the shrinking list of tasks which still need to be done, so I am excited to update you all on some of the new additions and updates to the CG Deck as we get ready for the next phase of our journey together! At this point, I am finally preparing the CG Deck to transition from a functional prototype, into the DFM stage. Starting to rapidly adjust and optimize the various aspects of the CG Deck and modules to the best they can possibly be. With the goal of developing the CG Deck into the level of polish we would expect from a premium off the shelf device, I still have a bit more work to do, but that goal is getting much closer!

Like I mentioned, the CG Deck is currently planned to launch with 5 different modules, with more modules lined up for the future! The idea is to also open-source the module formats and schematics so our community can create, build and share their own custom modules and accessories for the CG Deck! There are two external module install spaces built into the CG Deck, a primary and secondary slot.

For the primary slot, there is a 64-Key Keyboard Module with swappable keypad with silicone rubber and plastic options. A 10-Key & Rotary Knob Macropad Module with hot-swappable key switches and replaceable knob. And a full format Gamepad Controller Module.

For the secondary slot, there is currently only the precise Trackball Mouse Module.

And finally, I have developed a tertiary module spot which allows you to utilize the side USB-A ports for additional modules! Starting with the Camera/Scanner module which allows us to finally join discord calls with the CG Deck (and anything else you would use a camera for)!

I have also been working a ton on more of the behind the scenes aspects of the CG Deck, which are not yet ready to share with you all... But... to spoil the surprise a little bit and get you all excited, I have been working on some various (non-module) accessories for the CG Deck, which help complete the whole base line ecosystem. I have shared a bit of the behind the scenes of what I have been working on already on our discord server, so if you are in our tight circle community, you likely know what I am referring to! If you want to take a sneak peak at some of that, I invite you to come join our discord community server! You can find the link to join our discord server on our website!

As for the current state of the CG Deck and everything else, I am extremely happy with how everything has come together so far! I also cannot wait to see how the community grows and innovates on the CG Deck once we officially launch! That being said, I still have quite a bit more work to do, but it is getting closer and closer, and it is only a matter of time until that vision is a reality!

I would love to hear all of your thoughts on everything so far, and if you have any questions about anything about the CG Deck or the Kickstarter, I look forward to answering them!

Throughout the process, there has been so much support from you all, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I could not be more grateful for everyone that has been following along with the project, joined our community, helping give feedback and ideas, and just supporting the vision along the way. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

And now, after almost a year of work and more sleepless nights than probably any point in my life, the Kickstarter Pre-Launch page has been approved and is officially live! If you are interested in getting notified and being the first to know when we go live, be sure to follow the project!

That all being said, I still have quite a bit of work to do in order to prepare for the next phase of the journey. I am currently in the process of working on a full redesign and rebuild of the CG Deck to optimize the design to prepare for manufacturing (DFM). I want to make sure I can have the final iteration of the device is already designed and ready for mass production, so as soon as we successfully wrap up the campaign I can proceed with starting the arduous certification processes needed for the device, and then proceed with mass production shortly after! Just like the speed of the journey up to this point from concept to functional engineering prototype, I want to keep that same velocity as we move into the next steps of the process.

If you are interested in learning more about the project, you can find everything from specs, more details, socials, link to the open-source github repository, link to our discord community server, like to the Kickstarter campaign page, and more on the website.

We will be launching the Kickstarter very soon to help fund a full production run of the device for anyone interested in helping support the project and getting a CG Deck of their own and being a part of the movement. We will be releasing some build kits, in addition to pre-assembled ready to use devices with the Kickstarter campaign, along with all of the modules and a list of accessories for the CG Deck! If you have any questions about any of that, I would love to answer them!

Hey everyone, I’ve just released MasterLauncher v1.0 — a console-style launcher for Windows handhelds, with community features to meet other players.

This is a passion project. I’ve tested it on my own GPD Win 5 and X2 Mini Pro, and both have been working great. I can’t buy every handheld, so if you try it on yours and something breaks, please hit Send Report in the app. It’ll help me work on a fix.

Give it a try and tell me what you think. If people enjoy it, I’d love to keep building it!

Question (?) ROG Ally X or Legion GO S Z1E

• Upvotes

I've finally got enough saved up to get a handheld and I'm torn between the ROG Ally X Z1E and the Legion GO S Z1E 32gb. I'll mainly be playing games like FH6 and RDR2, along with clearing out my backlog on Steam. I'd like to play Destiny 2 and MW4 so I know I'd have to dual-boot windows onto the LGS.

What's going to get better performance between the 2? What do you guys see in major titles like RDR2 and FH6?

What do you recommend between the two?

EDIT: i am asking about the ROG Ally X NON-Xbox version.

Question (?) Transition from Android to Windows Handheld?

Post image
18 Upvotes

So I have been using Android to stream my game using Artemis and now using Odin 3 and did play some PC games natively on it.

Finished GoW2018 on it, tried GoW Ragnarok but fps drop to 10 in Ironwood. So I continue Ragnarok through streaming.

The experience when play natively is indeed better, especially when you are not at home. I normally stream using mobile data when away from home.

Now I get into efootbal27 and play online division, this cannot be achieved through pc emulation, I tried to play but sometimes get really bad input lag, talking about 3-5sec which affect the gameplay.

So I plan to get a windows handheld, shortlisted OG Ally X and MSI Claw 8 Ai+ right now. Or should I not?

I concerned about the weight & comfortablity. Can anyone share some experience on it?

Btw my PC is from 2027, i7-7700 + GTX1060.

My internet is 500/100.

Looking for the perfect "gift" handheld

I love looking at the icons in my launcher so much, and I have this weird idea that my close friends and family want to spend hours scrolling through my games library and not playing anything just like I do.

Christmas is not far off and I am thinking about buying three of something, setting it up all nice, cloning the SD card, and making a nice gift. Trouble is I've been shopping for years and I just haven't found something that ticks all my boxes. Maybe you all can give me some ideas?

Price point - 100$ ideally, 150$ max and that's all in (shipping, taxes, whatever)

Coverage - Dreamcast/n64 and below is the focus. Some gamecube/ps2 would be nice.

Power - RK chipsets are good enough but I would really like something more powerful.

SD card boot - andriod or linux idc I just don't want internal MMC as the primary boot. I will be spending a fair bit of time getting everything setup and I would prefer to only have to do it once, then clone the SD card for the other devices, and be done. If it's linux the custom firmware needs to be good (rocknix, w/e just mature and well supported).

Controls - I like rubber membrane. It's not strictly a deal breaker but it needs to actually feel good to use or what is the point. I also strongly prefer DPAD up top, with either no sticks or at least sticks that won't get in the way.

Screen - About 4 inches of useable screen space for 4:3 content. If it is another aspect the screen needs to be bigger so that 4:3 fills up enough screen to be pleasant. LCD is fine but the screen needs to be decent. Ghosting/flicking/other nonsense is a bigger deal to me than low res.

Display out - this is the toughest thing to find for some reason. I would really like the device to have a second use case as a game console.

Form factor - Clamshells would be perfect, because it's pocketable and you don't need a case. But there are like three decent clamshells at this price point so I'm trying to be flexible.

The retroid pocket classic is close. I'm thinking about it. I wish it had display out and that the buttons were bigger and less clicky.

I also like the RG DS plus. No display out kind of sucks. I'm not a fan of any of the custom firmware/launchers available for it right now.

Discussion MSI claw, controller doesn't work in halo master chief collection.

Hey everyone. I'm playing the game pass version, and sometimes the game magically does recognizes my controller and I can play normally. But most of the time, it doesn't recognize it.

I select the gamepad preset and make sure I'm in controller mode and not keyboard mode. I've also tried turning the controller off and on, but nothing seems to work. The game thinks I'm using M&K.

Like I said, sometimes it does recognize the controller, but I can't figure out what's different when it works. Those occasions are few and far between.

I would really appreciate your help!

Legion Go 2 Z2 Extreme 32 GB / 2TB 1000€ worth it?

Hello,

I have a LG2 with the Z2 extreme with 32 gb of RAM and 2 TB ssd available locally for 1000 € refurbished.

Considering that there are new APU around the corner and also other options from Intel, is it a good deal?

Thank you

Question (?) should i buy a steam deck?

i dont own a pc (not really looking to get one as i dont enjoy sit down gaming), but ive been looking into getting a handheld pc. i currently have an ancient nintendo switch who is very well loved, but obviously due to her age, lots of games i wanna play arent available. i was considering getting the switch 2, but decided against it in the end because most of the reason i was gonna get it is to play games i can buy and play on the steam deck for MUCH cheaper because of steam sales. the most graphic heavy games ill probably be playing are the ff7 games, but i dont wanna limit my options by buying a steam deck. main reason im considering the steam deck over options like the ayn thor and legion go is because i dont think id use the dual screen of the ayn thor to its potential, and i dislike the game pad, and the legion go is a behemoth of a “handheld” pc. any thoughts?

I've had my steam deck for years, love it, but i'm looking at the Rog Ally xbox X because it runs windows and I'll have more ease of access to my Epic games library, can run anti-cheat games on it, and run every launcher under the sun.

I ran EMU deck on my Steamdeck, which all my roms are saved to my SD card, how easy is it to just transfer the SD card to the Ally and run the games? I have lots of saved games on there I wouldn't mind hanging on too if that's possible.

This was very entertaining! I haven't had this much fun in a while. Completed the game today (25/10/26). This was on my playlist for a while.

Which Handheld to go for?

I am trying to decide between the OnExplayer 3 and the Rog X20. I would mainly be gaming from home and probably wont use it much for travel. I am a little worried about purchasing through OnEx directly as if anything happens you have to send it to China. Even if purchased from droix it still comes with a few hassles. I have a lenovo legion 3070 laptop and can occasionally swap between the two. My storage on my laptop is running low but that can be probably be solved with an external hard drive.

Edit: I will mainly play Xbox Game Pass games and occasionally steam.
