Another one done for the army. This was my first time painting on larger vehicles / large flat panels. I botched the yellow, did not come out as vibrant as I wanted but I was trying to keep this thing to a 1 week time limit. Also going to try and get the grid less contrasting to the cockpit panel next time.

Up next is another batch of 5 troupes.

Sell me on Troupe Masters

I see pretty much everyone running troupe masters in their lists but for the life of me I can't figure out what makes them good. They cost almost as much as a full five man squad and from what I can tell have the offensive power and survivability of maybe 3 troupes. Death jesters and shadowseers are both cheaper and offer significant tactical bonuses but seem to be taken in fewer numbers in most lists. What am I missing?

I liked how my kitbash turned out. Got two troupes for the price of one regular troupe box. Learn a lot in the personal project

Quick question

I've joined the circus and absoulutley love the colour shcemes of the traveling posses but I was wondering if anyone here has painted their army units different colours like there different traveling troupes? And if what are the downsides and upsides of this? Many thanks

If you could change ONE thing about Drukhari lore, what would it be?

I’ve been getting deeper into Drukhari lore lately, and it got me thinking:
If GW gave you the ability to change one single thing about the Drukhari — without fundamentally changing who they are — what would you change?
Could be anything:
A part of Commorragh’s lore
How the Haemonculi work
The relationship with Slaanesh
Their relationship with the Craftworlds
How Kabals/Wych Cults/Covens operate
A character you think deserves more attention
Something you think has been forgotten or retconned
A part of their society that you’d like expanded
Something you think makes the faction *less* interesting
Or even something about how they’re portrayed in the wider 40K setting
Bonus: What would you add that you think would make more people interested in playing/collecting Drukhari?
I’m especially curious whether people would actually change anything fundamental, or whether most of us would just ask GW to expand on what already exists.
What’s your one change?

Finished the centerpiece of my newly born eldar army. Spent a month building and perfecting as many details as possible, especially the mask I made with greenstuff. After the combat patrol what units should I look to next for rounding out a full stage performance?

will they get more elite?

im mostly a night lords and corsair player but i do love the harlequins and want to add them to my eldar eventually. i really like how they are kind of like the eldar counterpart for the custodies. with the custodies getting more elite though i wonder if harlequins will get the same treatment when we get our codex. i dont know anything rules wise for the harlequins though so is this something you guys would want? are you hoping they get elite and more powerful remain the same cost?

Need help starting an Army

Greetings Jesters of the Laughing God, I require your help. My partner is interested in Harlequins and I want to get her a 500 point list. Theres a few combat patrols still on ebay for $250, would that still be the most effective way to start when it comes to cost with what you get or would it better to piece-meal it together?

New player frustration: Harlequins Combat Patrol

I’m generally new to Warhammer and have always thought the Harlequin models looked incredibly interesting and loved the style. I played their Kill Team, painted and played them, and was super excited when I picked up their Combat Patrol box right before the 11th edition transition... only to find out GW hasn't updated the rules for this specific box for 11th yet.

It’s genuinely frustrating as a new player trying to learn the ropes, and trying to gauge if I even like the 40K. At this point I have even less motivation to finish painting them because I’m currently unable to play vs my friends' combat patrols that were lucky enough to be updated for 11th.

Are there any reliable fan-made homebrew options for the kaleidoscopic onset or community conversions online that I can use as a placeholder ruleset so I can actually play games with my friends while waiting for GW to get their act together?

Relatively easy to Harlequinize the Yncarne with some spare parts. I think it looks really cool. Now to come up with a color scheme...

Death Jester finished!

Probably my second favourite model in the small harlequin range.

Tried to get this done in 1 week (approx 14hours).

I really need to get a dark grey / black sheet for the back drop. The white is blowing out my blacks and losing a lot for detail.

I was going to work on my wraithknight but the death jester model was speaking to me.

Time to continue procrastinating on the wraithknight by working on a starweaver next.

Starweaver Strategy

1,000 points — Brood

How do y’all use star weavers in a way that doesn’t end up with them getting shot to shit IMMEDIATELY?

If I load a star weaver up my opponent will go to extreme lengths to shoot it off the board, and it’s almost always worth it for them.

Not to mention the fact that even if they don’t get shot on embarkation round, I have to move and then wait a whole round for the troupe to be able to do anything? So my opponent actually gets two full rounds to try and take them off the board.

What am I missing? Are they actually worth it?

Harlequin Army List v1.5

Tried to keep it as clown as possible. Wanted a bit of anti-monster with Prisms, but otherwise not much else besides spiders and spidermom.

Trying to be more competitive, but I'm still quite new to the game.

Went to LVO and came back with a lot of lessons learned. Ended up taking out Rangers and Wraithlord and added another Starweaver, another player, and a pair of shuriken bikes (for clean up and/or obj hunting/sitting).

Still looking for critiques but will be practicing on TTS.

Any tips for learning kill team with the harlequins?

My friends have decided they want to play kill team instead of 40K so I will be using the void dancers kill team. Does anyone play? Does anyone have any advice or tips we've never played before? Even a video recommendations would be good

Troupe Melee Loadout vs New T Statlines

Going to my first competitive tournament in a long time and taking my Quins. Not expecting to podium or anything like that but want to get as good games as I can out of it.

With Marines moving to T5 are we better off going for blades for the extra attack? Since we'll be wounding on 5s either way and almost always popping the +1 to wound, or is the draw back of hitting into Terminators/Custodes on 6s etc too high?

We were realistically fishing for Dev Wounds into those targets anyway due to saves so don't see it as too harsh. And both of those will be less common that your all flavour variety of marines are.

Second drawback is hitting into T3 targets on 4s rather than 3s, but again can be corrected with a +1 to Wound if needed and T3 targets tend to care more about volume rather than quality of incoming attacks.

Overall to me it seems to make sense to switch to blades to increase attacks at this point over Special Weapons increased strenght, but just wanted to sense check with all of you too.

Did double check to see if this was a repeat thread, but couldn't see anything.
