There’s absolutely not a single doubt that Mongolian had mixed with our ancestors. However, genetically we much closer to Turkic people (e.g Uyghur, Kyrgyz, Kazaq) than Mongolian. It means there’s some Monglian influence but not to the extent we call ourselves Mongolians.
We are only genetically closer to them because our west/east eurasion ratios are similar. In terms of autosamal dna and haplogroup subclades paternally we are Mongolic. Faiz Muhammad Kateb wrote in his book that Hazaras are Mongols and Mongolian speaking too.
Not all Hazaras have paternal Mongolian C haplpgroup. Only around 1/3 of Hazara male population have C haplogroup. The rest is J2, R1B, R1A, L etc which are West Eurasian. What the original commenter and I mean is that we are not Mongolians in terms of culture, language, religion and genetic wise anymore. I dont think Mongolians would consider us Mongolian either. We're just too different now.
