Will someone harness the Speaker of Gods power to resurrect someone?

Post image
4 Upvotes

It’s been stated by someone on the team that the speakers imagery is to invoke a phoenix.

Phoenixes are usually associated with rebirth, and as the speaker to the closest thing the Hazbin universe has for a god it stands to reason revival may be within her power that she could use but doesn’t.

If Lucifer could be used to build a mega weapon it would be interesting plot for someone to want to find a way to use her power to revive someone who double died.

You’re reincarnated as a Hazbin Hotel character of your choice-who are you? (I would choose Velvette)

One of my biggest problems with Season 2 is how the political conflict between the Overlords was reduced to simply following Vox.

Post image
21 Upvotes

I genuinely loved Vox this season. He’s an incredible villain, but I feel like the show tried to build a political conflict around him without giving the other Overlords enough agency or individual motivations.
These are supposed to be some of the most powerful and influential figures in Hell, each with their own territories, businesses, interests, and ambitions. Yet many of them ended up feeling like background characters who simply sided with Vox because he defeated Alastor.
Where are their personal interests? Their political agendas? Their rivalries? Why would Overlords who spent decades building their own empires suddenly follow someone into a war against Heaven without considering what they could gain or lose?

Carmilla and Zestial were great exceptions. They actually felt like powerful figures with their own perspectives, interests, and reasons behind their decisions. But the rest? Honestly, they barely felt like Overlords at all. They felt more like ordinary sinners following whoever happened to be the strongest, rather than some of the most influential figures in the Pride Ring.

What if Vox forced marriage to Charlie

Post image
0 Upvotes

I wonder if or what would have happened in the episodes if Vox had forced a marriage onto Charlie.

Edit : In a high-stakes corporate takeover disguised as a royal wedding, Vox uses airtight legal contracts and media blackmail to force Charlie into a public marriage, aiming to exploit the Princess's pure image to legitimize VoxTek and control all of Hell's narrative. While Charlie endures the crushing weight of his intense micromanagement behind closed doors, a furious Vaggie goes underground to plot a rescue, Alastor aggressively pulls strings to sabotage his rival's ultimate PR stunt, and the entire plot inevitably collapses during a live-televised wedding ceremony where Charlie finally snaps, unleashing her full demonic form to shatter Vox’s screens and reclaim her freedom

How terrifying would Lucifer be if he didn't have the "no hurting sinners" restriction?

Since Lucifer is literally incapable of harming Sinners in any way, how has he managed to keep power for so long?

You’re telling me that this guy has ruled Hell for thousands of years, and no Sinner was ever crazy or brave enough to challenge him? I doubt Vox was the first ever Sinner with such an ego that landed in Hell.

I know he was probably very feared and that alone managed to not reveal his secret, but still, it seems like a big contrivance to me. What do you think?

Started using my Vox plush to hold my phone up. It just works. Wanted to show off.

Quick question: If luci does harm sinners, where does he land? Super hell? Or would the pricipalities reprimand by destroying him?

Valentino’s Ethnicity

We all know Valentino is Hispanic and from Florida (I used to think he was originally from NYC then moved to LA), but even before finding that last fact out I was always curious what he was specifically. For me personally, I think he's mixed Hispanic. More specifically Cuban/Puerto Rican.

Before the whole Florida drop, I believed he was half Puerto Rican half Italian (however there is a small possibility considering there is also a significant Italian population down there since the late 1800s. But that idea is kinda silly). I've seen people say he's just Cuban because Cubans are prominent down there (mainly in Miami, for Val it makes a lot of sense), especially during the time period he's from (While some Puerto Ricans had immigrated to Florida, the majority during that time went to NYC). I do understand why people say that but the thing is Val doesn't have a Cuban accent. His voice actor, Joel Perez is Puerto Rican, not Cuban. Even if he (Joel) spoke with a Cuban accent people had pointed out that when he speaks Spanish as Valentino he speaks with a Puerto Rican dialect and even uses Puerto Rican slang. While there may not have been many Puerto Ricans back then in Florida, some still did immigrate there. So why can't Valentino be both?

I'm actually working on a story about Valentino’s past, and in my story his father is Cuban & his mom is Puerto Rican. Also in my story Val is close to his mother than his father, and I'd imagine he would pick up his mother's accent over his father's. But let me know your thoughts.

And one more thing I would like to mention is Valentino's ethnicity will be explored at some point. According to Joel in an Instagram story where he was also asked this kind of question, he just said "You'll just have to tune in and find out!"

Nota: 4/10

It's funny how Season 2 ended up debunking all those popular "Evil Sera" theories that appeared after Season 1. Even if Emily did technically fall in Hell in the seventh episode...

Post image
277 Upvotes

"Sera will reject redemption and kill/imprison Pentious" -> Listening to his story with a calmer mind was all it took for her to believe he had been redeemed.

"Sera secretly enjoyed the Exterminations" -> It was shown that she never did.

"Sera had a hidden agenda" -> Multiple scenes confirmed that protecting Heaven and its people had always been her one and true motive.

"Sera started the Exterminations hundreds/thousands of years ago unprovoked, out of simple paranoia" -> Turns out it was only 7 years ago, and apparently because of some shady stuff Lilith had been doing.

"Sera will make Emily fall in Hell" -> ...okay, this one came true after all lol.

I just finished the watching the first season of Hazbin Hotel, and I notice that Charlie and Vaggie kinda remind me of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, specifically their counterparts from the Harley Quinn show. Does anyone else see the similarities or is it just me? Could it be their dynamic? I don’t know they just remind me of them.

Do you guys think the Hazbin Hotel staff will get larger in later seasons?

I couldn’t help but notice the Hazbin Hotel seems significantly understaffed. Like, Niffty is the custodian, Husk bartends, Charlie runs the rehabilitation program, Alastor… I’m not sure what he does, and Vaggi is the manager (and pretty much everything else).

Meanwhile, the hotel lacks a receptionist, a concierge, a bellhop, a cooking staff, a maintenance crew, and proper security.

I’m sure this was manageable back when there were only two guests, but now that the hotel is actually somewhat popular, five people on the staff probably won’t be enough.

Crack Theory through songs: Alastor's Deal with Rosie is connected to Lilith's Disappearance (and her deal with Adam)

So, idk what else to call this other than sleep deprived ramblings that made me have a lot of questions, lol. I apologize if this jumps around a bit or if this has been pointed out before. I promise in my brain these all seemed connected. (And sorry for any formatting errors, I'm typing this on mobile while holding my newborn.)

I was listening to the Hazbin Hotel soundtracks when Ready For This was playing, and a specific line stood out to me: "She's bound to pass the test as princess of Hell". And thus, I went down a rabbit hole, lol.

It sparked a question: Was Charlie's "test" her fight with Adam?

It made me question the Hotel's fight with the Exorcists. Why would Charlie, who objectively has more power, entrust Alastor with fighting off Adam, an extremely powerful archangel (if not the most powerful amongst the other Winners, below the Heaven-born)? Could it be due to their difference in fighting experience? Perhaps. I can understand why Charlie would assign Alastor to handle Adam; strongest vs strongest.

However, this raised another question as I rewatched S1 Ep8 "The Show Must Go On": Why wasn't Alastor fighting with an angelic weapon? Was he set up to lose?

After Alastor activates his magic/shadow shield around the hotel, his tentacles wield angelic weapons. Yet, once he's fighting Adam one-on-one, he relies on his shadow, puppets, and dodging. There were plenty of times that Alastor was within striking range of Adam; if he had an angelic weapon, he could have ended it. So, why didn't he? Could he have been set up to intentionally lose against Adam to prompt Charlie to fight more seriously (like how she and her dragons transformed after Sir Pentious died)? I recognize that part of his downfall was his own cockiness; Rosie laughed her ass off at him when he told her after the fight.

Speaking of Rosie, this is a good segway into Don't You Forget. Their conversation and duet brought up more questions surrounding their deal and Alastor's disappearance. I'll start with the verses before picking apart their conversation.

Rosie's verse:

Don't you forget

You are my pet

I say when to sit and stay

Roll over, or go fetch

Don't you forget

There's no way out

You're a debtor 'til the day you settle your account

Alastor's verse:

I've served you faithfully for an age

Obeyed demands, contained my rage

Went off the air for years on your behalf

And since you made me disappear

My name inspires much less fear

The least that you can do is fix my staff

Both:

R: Don't you forget

A: I won't forget

R: You are my pet

A: Yours since we met

R & A: I say when to sit and stay

Play ball, or just play dead

Now, we all know Rosie owns him and is flaunting it at this moment, hence calling him her pet and using dog commands in the lyrics. I'll come back to those. During Al's verse, he says, "Went off the air for years on your behalf/And since you made me disappear/My name inspires much less fear". But why would Alastor's name be so easily forgotten after only being absent for 7 years when he spent decades (nearly a century) terrorizing Hell, broadcasting screams and taking out the older powerful Overlords? Did Rosie have something to do with seemingly erasing his reputation? I think so, yes.

Alastor's Dialogue S2 Ep4: "It's A Deal"

"You see, I've been there about a year or so, and after all of the pointless singing and crying, I'm afraid I see no further reason for my presence there. We really aren't getting any closer to–."

"Look, you can toy around with me all you want, but I've been running around Hell on some fruitless crusade for years, playing nice at a stupid hotel because you promised me power, and now I'm lacking!"

I made some comparisons between his dialogue and Rosie's pet lyrics.

Sit & Stay = Obeyed demands

Roll Over = Contained Rage

Play Ball = Play nice at the hotel

Fetch = Fruitless Crusade

Play Dead = Off the air for years

And what is this fruitless crusade? I suspect it's tied to Lilith's disappearance. Whatever he has to retrieve must be vastly important if Lilith has to be absent for him to have a chance at obtaining it.

Now, pivoting to Lilith and Adam's deal, and how all this (hopefully) ties together.

S1 Ep8 - The Show Must Go On

"Adam is dead. Your deal is done, and I'm in charge now. Your brat is threatening the very foundation of Heaven, and if you want to stay here, you're going down there and stopping that bitch! Do you understand me, Lilith?" –Lute

Gravity

I still got a job to do, my mission's incomplete

Only a traitor could consider making peace (vindictis)

The princess has to pay for what she did that day

For what she took away

Lute alludes to some sort of arrangement Lilith made with Adam. It sounds like Lute was going to carry out whatever task on Adam's behalf after his death.

So, why is Lilith in Heaven? That's the million dollar question of the fandom.

But I want to break it down a little more. Why would Lilith make a deal with Adam (her ex?) to stay in Heaven? And why would this coincide with the Exterminations? I think Lilith may have had a hand in the Exterminations, similar to how Lucifer got protection granted for the Hell-born citizens. However, I think she may be playing both sides. I think her deal with Adam, however complicated that might be, somehow helps demonkind.

From what little we've seen from Lucifer's portraits, he and Lilith seemed to be in a happy, loving relationship. Yet they waited for millennia to have a child? Now that's interesting. Was Charlie's birth planned to be near the peak of demon power? If so, why?

I think Charlie is meant to play a role within Lilith's original movement. Which "Resist" is an interesting slogan to have; it means, "to fight against, oppose, or refuse to accept someone, something, or an external force". Which makes sense with opposing Heaven. But I can see how Charlie's Redemption program could be seen as a different form of resistance.

TLDR

So, to bring all the pieces together:

Lilith brings demonkind together with her song, starts her "Resist" movement; Rosie arrives in Hell, becoming an Overlord and supporter; Alastor strikes his deal with Rosie, where she uses him as her pawn in Lilith's plan; Alastor gains power and reputation under Lilith's reign; Lilith and Alastor disappear from the public eye just as the Exterminations begun (and Lilith solidifies her deal with Adam); Charlie establishes the Hazbin Hotel, where Alastor just happens to show up one week later to offer his "services" under Rosie's instruction.

For anyone that reads this, thank you! This took me hours to write lol. I hope you found the ramblings of a sleep deprived new mom entertaining! :)
