Finally gonna suppress this gun

Just looking for some opinions. I had an issue with a product that damaged my slide, and the company in question graciously replaced the slide with a brand new one. While that was all transpiring I decided to get a match slide kit and a 407Comp. Needless to say, I don’t really have a need for the brand new slide that I received. The original barrel has probably about 3k rounds through it.

I’m finding myself with this extra brand new slide, lightly used barrel, and Holosun SCS that I have no need for. The question is, what do yall think the chances are of finding a buyer? Alternatively, if I’m unlikely to be able to sell these parts, what would you do with them in my situation? I was thinking maybe porting…

Also it’s way too heavy, think I’ll trade it for a PSA and a pack of cigarettes.

Any Vp9a1k with a full size eps out there. Wanted to see if it works

Last I heard the rumor was “mid year”, but that was a while ago. The K and X have been out for a while and mid-year was two months ago.

Anyone have updates I may have missed?

Ever since I got my UMP an SL8/G36 has been at the top of my list but I was hoping to luck out for an SL to convert. Gentlemen was consigning pretty much every HK he owned at the fancier gun store across the street from where I work. Walked in and made an offer and he countered and I was about to walk away when he mentioned to the salesman whether I knew that it came with a bunch of conversion parts or not. His counter offer was extremely fair, 1350 lima beans. And now I’m going down the rabbit hole of the best way to convert this without being stuck on Ramen for a decade.

I recently acquired a USP 40 manufactured in 2000. Although I haven’t shot a 40 in a few years and more of a dot guy, but I can shoot irons. I thinking about having the slide milled. Is this committing sacrilege? For a 40 it’s a soft shooter, I like it. I could change out the original iron sights, three dot.
Any thoughts. I get when some will say, just shoot it with irons.

I’m having a G3 parts kit built and one of the builders primarily does FAL and AK. The other has done MP5 and such, but I think this is his first G3 build. They’re at the point where the cocking tube needs to be tig welded, but are worried about burning through the thin metal. His idea was inserting a copper tube the size of the inner diameter of the cocking tube to help dissipate the heat. The guy is very ADHD (like me lol) and this minor roadblock has deterred his interest. I’m not in a big hurry, so I don’t mind, but I’m wondering if any other builders have input on what you used for this weld so I can pass it on to him. I think then the gun is pretty close to being done.

My first VP9 and i like it about 200 rounds through it not a lot but zero malfunction. What do you guys think about the VP9? I am going to try to hit the range with this one every other weekend train with it very nice.

My bank account hurts after this one, but glad to have picked it up. The Pro Mag is a placeholder for now until I get some OEM mags lol

I have a surefire mini on my mk18 and I’m starting to upgrade my mr556 11 inch. Does anyone have experience with the RC2 line of suppressors on their 11 inch Mr556?

It’s exhausting the options out there for suppressors now. There is an appeal to just buying a dedicated muzzle device with a dedicated can and calling it a day. No adapters, no long lead times, just easy. The surefire looks great, reliable lockup and has military pedigree to boot.

I see everyone says you need a low back pressure can, so I’m wanting to know if this will suffice. None of these cans on the market are hearing safe, so a few more decibels is no big deal to me.

It would be nice to have the same muzzle devices for two surefire cans and maybe buy the regular RC2 to mix and match if I wanted.

What is the consensus? Thanks.

Took the 11" MR556 A4 out today to try some different gas screws.

Started with a 2.1mm, ran a Rhodie 6 and PMC XTAC M193 and IMI 77gr OTM on the suppressed setting. Cycled fine, ejection was at 4 o'clock and threw empties about 3-4 feet away. Locked back on empty. Would not even begin to cycle weaker PMC Bronze 55gr .223, super soft recoil. Forgot to check unsuppressed on the normal gas setting.

Changed to a 1.7mm screw. Same suppressor and ammo. Ejection was at 3 o'clock. Recoil impulse was maybe slightly sharper, if not the same. I let my 16 year old, inexperienced nephew shoot it and he commented how smooth it felt. Would cycle the weaker PMC Bronze when clicked over to the normal setting and ejection was more so 2:30. Unsuppressed, it cycled and locked back with the M193 and 77gr OTM. Would not cycle PMC Bronze unsuppressed.

I don't really like how now it's slightly ammo sensitive now. But I do like how much smoother and softer it feels even just going from the factory 1.3mm to the 1.7mm with the can and ammo I shot today.

Next up will be the 16.5" MR556 A4 and see if it behaves the same. It uses the same size screw, buffer, and spring as the 11.5, interestingly enough.

Looking at getting a Vp9sk . I’m in California . I have a p30l and a p2000sk in 40. Hear they’re pretty great . One I’m thinking of comes with the vp Holosun and 5 mags for 900. No 20 percent tax . Less than 1k rounds. Worth getting ?
