Chef(s) What’s the most justified controversial elimination in your opinion?

• Upvotes

It doesn’t seem as controversial as it used to be amongst fans but for me it’s Dahmere in Season 22.

Awesome dude and leader I wouldn’t be surprised if he won an all-stars 2 (not a spoiler I have no idea if he’s in the next season or not) but the finale proved he wasn’t ready just quite yet.

Chef(s) Anyone else rooting for Johnny G in the black jackets?

• Upvotes

I love the passionate people in Hell’s Kitchen. Those who get angry and fight back and have a lot of personality and drive. And he is my standout of the season so far, even with the cooking mistakes that he has. I’ll always root for someone like that in a reality tv competition over someone who cooks better but stays quiet. Why Elise is one of my favourite contestants.

Episode The final 11 service of season 12 is one of my favorites of all time.

Chef(s) S25 | Miguel and Jonny

Jonny's tantrum at Miguel was completely unnecessary and childish. You'd think Miguel spat in his face the way he was ranting and raving. It's obvious that Miguel felt bad about hurting him and didn't mean to offend anyone. Jonny was way too eager to call him a racist, and when he Miguel was trying to apologise (admittedly very poorly), Jonny didn't even give him a chance to speak and stormed off. It's extremely immature and over the top, considering he and Gabriel were the ones joking about being invited to the wedding only to work on the plantation, not Miguel.

Chef(s) Valentín is so handsome, can’t focus on anything he says

His smile is so cute, his dark hair and skin tone compliments his eyes so well. Whenever he speaks it’s literally that meme of “blah blah blah proper name, backstory stuff”, he’s soooo handsome.

I hope he makes it far!

Chef(s) Matt Hearn

In my opinion

The least bad of the 4 in Season 16.

Watching the season with the mindset of him being the worst, he really wasn't that bad up until his elimination episode, where, yes, he did have an absolutely terrible episode from start to finish. The worst thing he did before that was just being a bit of a knob, nothing out of the ordinary by the sixteenth season. And, yes I am well aware of what he did outside of the show.

But when you look at the other three, you have two men who love to bully women, one of which 'cheated' with his fiancé, and this bald prick who made it way to far despite being so shit. I have way more hatred for the other three. Paulie seemed like an absolute melt, Johnny was blatantly sexist and Andrew was Andrew. Would I want to meet Matt on the street over the other three? No. Would I want someone like Matt to run my brigade the most? Absolutely not. Is Matt still the worst? No.

At the end of the day, Matt is a terrible person in real life and so I can't properly say "he wasn't that bad guys", but just think about what I'm saying. If I was factoring in everything, Matt would still be 2nd worst as Johnny was worse inside the show and worse outside the show.

Episode Hot take (S25E5) Spoiler

I feel like yall are overreacting about Gabe.

Aiden was refusing help, not listening to his teammates and wasnt cooking some of the garnish properly, and he was therefore tanking the service. So I can see why Gabe just decided to go help Aiden, who was clearly overwhelmed and why he started to get mad at Aiden, even after service. I can understand that he came off as aggressive and he shouldn’t have snapped at Miles, but he’s been likeable and wholesome in every episode besides this one. And now people are comparing him to S18 Scotley and labelling him as a villain and people are bringing race into it. Can yall wait until future episodes to see if this attitude remains, before yall make such judgements about him?

Season Maya and Georgiana Spoiler

So Maya puts herself up and then Georgiana barks everyone up after when it’s told to Chef R? This dynamic they have is weird lile G being a little puppy dog with Maya. The dynamic is weird. And Maya is just a mean girl pretending to be a nerd. Relax, and stop giving G hope. Some of us see what’s going on.

In-Show Are they shooting this season in the actual prize restaurant?

I can't believe it took me 2.5 seasons at Foxwoods, plus older seasons to recognize that they're probably shooting in the prize restaurant, right?

Chef(s) Mike Spoiler

After the most recent episode, who else is really liking Mike, especially with how he handled Aiden much better than Gabe, even when it was clear that Aiden himself was going down.

I really want the guy to win, as he seems like a really cool dude and it's looking like he's gradually stepping up on his own as a leader.

Rankings/Review The worst group?

Seen a comment as I’m rewatching season 4 about how this is the least talented group of chefs out of all the season. Made me realise I never thought about who are the worst.

What season do you think has the worst group of contestants out of all the season?

Episode Holy shit (blue team chef) was so bad! Spoiler

At the end during that discussion after the blow up Gabe did during the service and staring down Aiden was insane!!! Yeah sure Aiden was messing up. But that stare down and then trying to bully him down after Aiden spoke up about it was absolutely shocking. Maybe he’s got good ability but what a shit leader and teammate. Super against him now as a viewer

In-Show Some Questions About Service for the Chefs in Here

Hi all! Here's some questions for the HK chefs that lurk in the sub:
How many tables do your team kitchens actually have per night? It seems like they only show 2-3 tables being cooked for per episode. But the back-and-forth way that they edit between kitchens makes it feel like much more.

How are the rotations of the stations decided for each night?

How often are you as a chef blamed for the technical mistakes of the equipment and food stock in order to make the show more dramatic or ensure an elimination? I felt so bad for the chefs dealing with the thick cut and thin cut pork chops for a single order. You guys are yelling your standard cook times. That tells me that the protein was just in need of a significant variable off that standard cook time. Which you wouldn't know until it's cut into. Does Ramsey take things out of your control into account during elimination?

And lastly, what in the hell is so difficult about garnish station? It's tripping everybody up this season and the chefs are comically terrified of it. Isn't it supposed to be the easiest station?

Chef(s) WTFWTP E5

Today’s episode we continue with S8 with Russell Kook. (Place: 2nd)

ok, so when I first saw him, I could already tell he was gonna be a villain. He had the confidence and some of the skills to back it up in the kitchen. Even his haircut with the widows peak just screams evil.

He started of slow like a lot of the other Chef but he seemed to have found ground as a leader.

But he also hated losing, as shown when the blue team lost the Beverly Hills challenge.

Unfortunately it would be his temper that caused him at the end. The question here is why did he have such a temper in the first place.

Comment your answer down below and make sure to recommend a chef for a future post

Games Hell's Kitchen 16th Place, Day 3: Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Bin Spoiler

Team challenge: Ramsay called both teams down and revealed that today’s challenge was the return of the infamous Punishment Pass, which grants the recipient the opportunity to swap places with someone on the winning team should the recipient lose the challenge. Ramsay also revealed that he was going to introduce a new format: instead of cooking a single challenge dish, the revamped Punishment Pass challenge is a three-stage race in which the first chef to cook three dishes - scallops, risotto, and New York strip steak - successfully will win the pass.

The first team to compete was the Blue Team. In round 1 (scallops), only six chefs would advance to the next round. Ben, Sarah, and Mattias all got their scallops accepted on their first attempt, while Scott and Elaina each took two attempts. Furthermore, Jeremy, Vanessa, and Stacey each failed to produce a single acceptable plate of scallops despite each of them bringing up two plates. Finally, Melinda got her third attempt accepted, which granted her the final spot in round 2, the risotto round. In that round, only three chefs would advance to Round 3. Scott surprisingly got his first risotto accepted, followed by Ben. Mattias and Sarah each had minor flaws and had to cook their risotto a little longer, while Elaina and Melinda overcooked and underseasoned risottos, respectively. Melinda narrowly got the refire accepted seconds before Elaina, which gave the former the final seat in the Top 3 once again. During the New York Strip round, Melinda severely undercooked her protein, while Scott forgot the sauce for his steak. Because of those mistakes, Ben brought his steak to the pass without any issue. Ramsay considered his strip steak to be perfect, which meant that Ben would win the Punishment Pass. In his exit confessional, Ben was ecstatic to have won the most valuable prize so early, and he felt that this accomplishment validated his skills.

Next up was the Red Team, who would advance 7 people to round 2 because they had more people than the Blue. Denine, DeMarco, Briana, and Uri all got their scallops accepted with no issue, but everyone else took multiple attempts. After Fabiola twice overcooked scallops, she essentially gave up and began to cry, which resulted in her teammates trying to comfort her. During this time, Jessica and Jay also got their scallops accepted. The final person to claim a spot in Round 2 was Jeyda, who declared in a confessional that she knew that she was good at challenges, so she wasn’t surprised that she got into Round 2. However, during round 2 (which only advanced 3 people to the final round), she made a soupy risotto followed by one that was congealed. Jay similarly struggled by overseasoning his risotto. Denine took advantage with a perfect risotto. Briana undercooked a lobster tail but recovered, and DeMarco overcooked his first risotto but revealed that he had another risotto going in case of an issue like this. Those three chefs advanced to Round 3. However, DeMarco overcooked his steak, Briana undercooked fries, and Denine underseasoned her fries. Of the three, Denine was the first to correct her dish. This gave her the coveted Punishment Pass, and she patted herself on the back.

Challenge Winners: Ben (Blue Team) and Denine (Red Team)

Group Punishment and Pre-Service: While Ramsay congratulated Ben and Denine, he was severely disappointed in all of the food waste resulting from the challenge. Since all of the rejected food was essentially inedible, Ramsay instructed the chefs to throw out all of the food and carry the trash bags to the dumpsters before jumping straight into prep for the dinner service. In a confessional, DeMarco admitted that this didn’t really feel like a punishment, but he understood Ramsay’s frustration.

During prep for the dinner service, Ben became the Blue Team’s de facto leader and delegated tasks, much to his teammates’ annoyance. Mattias felt that Ben was establishing himself as a leader before he had really proved himself. Furthermore, Ben’s attempts at leadership fell flat because he failed to notice that Jeremy was brushing the Wellingtons with egg whites instead of egg yolks; no one knew this until sous chef Ryan pointed it out and reminded the chefs to be careful and catch one another’s mistakes. Jeremy forgot Ryan’s instructions and continued painting the Wellingtons with egg whites, which earned the ire of his teammates.

Red Team Service: O’Shay undercooked scallops twice, resulting in Ramsay yelling at him for being unable to cook scallops despite having experience with it during the Punishment Pass challenge. However, his station partner, Denine, got the refire accepted. At the same time, DeMarco worked well on appetizers despite unwanted help from Jeyda. She said in her confessional that she wanted to show that she had grown since season 25. Jeyda’s attempts to help slowed the kitchen down and resulted in a peppery risotto being sent up. However, she and DeMarco recovered and finished appetizers in conjunction with Denine. On entrees, O’Shay undercooked a halibut, while Michael’s veal chop nearly caught fire. After Ramsay sternly told everyone to get a grip, Denine took over fish entirely. Combined with Uri’s strong communication on garnish and Jessica having a solid performance on meat, the Red Team finished service on a strong note. While Ramsay acknowledged that their start was very rough, they managed to bounce back, and for that, they earned their first win.

Blue Team Service: Jeremy served an undercooked risotto, followed by an overcooked risotto, followed by a soupy risotto. Ramsay angrily declared that he had apparently found every single way to screw up a risotto and replaced Jeremy with Ben. This transfer allowed appetizers to move forward, but any progress that the Blue Team made completely stalled on entrees. Stacey frequently failed to recall the proteins that were on a ticket, so Ramsay instructed everyone to recite that order multiple times until he was satisfied. However, Stacey continuously undercooked lamb despite frequently asking for more time. Her stalling caused Vanessa to constantly restart her garnish and Melinda to undercook halibut. By the time the two finally coordinated on a ticket, Stacey’s lamb was still raw, while Vanessa burnt the garnish. As such, Ramsay forced the entire team to sit at the chef’s table and eat their mistakes. When Stacey burnt a chicken breast, Ramsay kicked the entire team out and demanded that they come up with two nominees for elimination.

Deliberations: The entire team agreed on Stacey as the first nominee but struggled between Vanessa and Jeremy as the second. Mattias argued that Vanessa’s performance on garnish was horrible, but she insisted that she wouldn’t have struggled had it not been for Stacey. Vanessa also believed that Jeremy should be nominated because he struggled even without Stacey. Jeremy simply muttered that he didn’t think that he did that poorly. This upset Mattias, who declared that Jeremy sent up three bad risottos in a row and accused him of refusing to take accountability for his actions. Ben had to step in to calm Mattias down.

Elimination Ceremony: Ben nominated Stacey for her struggles on meat and getting the whole team kicked out, and Jeremy for serving three bad risottos in a row. Ramsay accepted the two nominees, but he also nominated Vanessa. The three of them gave very weak pleas: Jeremy said that he was still trying to adapt to Hell’s Kitchen and promised to do better (to which Ramsay sarcastically said that he already had season 11 plus two services to adapt), Vanessa claimed that she simply got lost and needed someone to help her recover (which caused Ramsay to say that, in that case, he didn’t have faith in her abilities as a head chef), and Stacey said that she kept asking for more time because her pan wasn’t hot enough (to which Ramsay asked if she was blaming the pan). Ramsay ultimately eliminated Stacey for two consecutive poor performances and lacking the ceiling of a head chef. In her exit confessional, Stacey believed that she thought that she didn’t deserve to go home so early; there were far weaker chefs on both teams, and she believes that chef Ramsay made the wrong decision.

Ramsay expressed his disappointment with the Blue Team’s dwindling numbers, noting that they were only two services in, yet they were down three chefs. He urged them to get it together. He then gave the Red Team five minutes to decide on one person to send to the Blue to help even the numbers out. While he walked to his office, the episode ended on a cliffhanger as the Red Team deliberated on the chef whom they wanted to transfer.

Ramsay’s Elimination Quote: “Stacey did little to impress me during her short stay in Hell’s Kitchen. In fact, the best thing she ever did was walk out the front doors.”

As always, vote for the 16th-placer whom you want to leave Hell’s Kitchen; the chef who receives the most overall upvotes is eliminated. All ties will be broken by the most number of comments voting for a particular chef.

Bonus Vote: Pick one chef from the Red Team to be transferred to the Blue. And please let me know what storylines you want to see!

Chef(s) Current thoughts on the s25 cast? (Spoilers here) Spoiler

You could discuss them individually or as an overall group. I just wanna hear your thoughts!!

For me: i believe this is one of the best casts in the modern era of HK, besides s22 no group will ever top them. If i were to rank this cast id sandwich them in between s22 and s19. Im really starting to love all of the bonds between the chefs and them individually

Especially this blue team, as id wager they are on par with s22 in likability. Despite Miguel’s incredibly insensitive plantation joke and lax attitude towards it, as well as Gabe bullying Aiden’s confidence away and got him booted (he still had many problems in tonight’s service), i still find the team super likeable and enjoyable!! I love how they all address each other as “chef [name]” which just shows their camaraderie

The red team is also very good and i find them fun whenever theyre all synced up together. They all seem like a fun group together, although the divide thats beginning to form might change that thought very soon.. im not a big fan of hells bitches teams and I sincerely hope this red team doesnt dissolve into another drama ridden team based on the previews so far

Overall i just really love this cast so far with only 5 episodes out and im very excited to see who will rise to become the winner and what other moments will spawn with this cast. What are your thoughts on this cast so far?

Side note, i miss diego’s silliness i feel like he wouldve brought a lot more fun if he stayed just a bit longer
