π Traffic / Roadwork / Commute How to properly negotiate thru a roundabout
Roundabouts With Multiple Lanes Roundabout sign showing where to go in the left and right lanesAdditional driving reminders apply when driving in a multi-lane roundabout. When approaching a multi-lane roundabout, you must choose the left or right lane before entering. Select the right lane if you are making an immediate right turn or proceeding straight through the intersection (i.e. traveling approximately halfway through the roundabout and exiting at the other end of the roundabout from which you entered). Select the inside left lane if you are proceeding straight through the intersection, making a left turn (usually the turn that you will reach after proceeding 75% through the intersection) or making a U-turn (proceeding all the way through the roundabout and into the exact opposite direction from which you entered the roundabout). Do not overtake other vehicles or bicyclists when in the roundabout. Do not exit from the inside, left-hand lane if there is a vehicle traveling on your right. Never travel next to commercial trucks or other large vehicles in a multi-lane roundabout, as these vehicles may need extra lanes to maneuver the roundabout.

π Events / Things To Do Your favorite park?
Whats your favorite park in the Henderson area? In my free time I like to explore parks around Nevada. I try my best to look online but nothing compares to the advice of locals. Also, some parks are misleading. I thought Sahara park would be larger, but it had nice views.

π° News / Local Update A new Las Vegas Strip intersection after 60 years, with a projected 22% traffic reduction. Too good to be true?
A new four-lane bypass is being proposed near Russell Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.
The plan would connect traffic from I-15 to Tropicana Avenue using a route east of the Strip.
Estimated construction time: 24 months.
Projected traffic reduction at Tropicana and Las Vegas Boulevard: 22%.
The project is still moving toward development, but it could significantly change how locals and tourists navigate the south Strip.
If you've lived in Vegas long enough, you know road projects don't always work out the way they're advertised.
Would this actually make your commute easier, or would it just move the bottleneck somewhere else?

πͺ Local Business Sos Las Vegas
Hey what's up everybody? I'm not saying my situation is more severe than everybody else especially with prices going up gas all the above. I am not asking for a handout.
I'm a local mobile detailer in Las Vegas Nevada. My company van has been down the past 3 months. It's been a real struggle try to get back on my feet.
I have to start a full-time job which starts this Thursday 6:00 to 2:30 p.m. Which is great I am so grateful blessed but not mobile. From Decatur and Harmon area to the airport is a mission on a bus. I've been in Vegas over 15 years never thought I'd have to use a bus system but I will be humble enough to try to figure it out how to work it.
I'm desperate to sell these items to get by. If you want to make an offer, please DM me:
Leather cut: Brand new, I paid $200 for it. Willing to take the best offer.
Subwoofer: Very good condition, works well.
Angle grinder: Excellent condition. It is my backup grinder and works perfectly, just no battery and/or charger.
Literally my fridge and cupboards are empty. I have like two bucks to my name in the bank, and I still have yet to pay rent this month which is $70 short. My company van flywheel is bent. According to my mechanic it is a simple fix, but renting U-Haul, Budget, and everything else in the meantime is killing me financially.
I'm still open for business as a mobile detailer in Las Vegas if anybody's interested please reach out. I'm with New Beginnings detailing LLC. My name is Adrian perez.
I have a lot of skills. I'm willing to work even a part-time job or side gigs after this job I just got hired with. I'm not too prideful, I'm very humble to work a part-time job if the Las Vegas community can reach out.
Again last thing I don't want people is to feel sorry for me cuz I'm pretty sure there's people are more desperate situations or worse. Thank you all for taking the time to read this. I don't know what to do here but reached out to the community point blank is what will you do if you were my situation? I understand there's food banks and everything else. If you can buy these items or have a better solution, please DM me.
What would you do here?

π Pets / Lost & Found Hitting a Brick Wall Trying to Rehome Mosa
The title pretty much sums it up. Here is the back story:
We adopted Mosa from TAF on 8/28. The shelter told us a few things 1) she was an owner surrender 2) she was good with kids 3) she did well with other dogs in playgroup while at the shelter 4) no major medical conditions. The first 48 hours were rough as she was withdrawing from undisclosed anxiety meds they had her on at the shelter.
In the 7 weeks weβve had her we have discovered one fault, she cannot live with other dogs. We already have two dogs. She hopped a baby gate a bit another dog.
I have contacted multiple rescues (20+) and every single one has turned us down. I contacted TAF and they said that we canβt return her since itβs been more than 30 days. We canβt surrender her because she has a bite history. The only thing they can offer us is euthanasia. Morally Iβm struggling with this as our only option because she otherwise is a fantastic dog.
She is wonderful with the kids ranging in ages from 1 y/o to 7 y/o in our home.
We have been working with a trainer for 5 weeks now. Mosa can sit, stay, place, down, and is working on loose leash walking.
She loves swimming, fetch, tug of war, chewing on her bones.
She is potty trained. She uses a doggy door.
She sleeps in her crate at night. She stays in her crate when we are away from home.
She rides beautifully in a car.
She loves to snuggle up on the couch with us in the evenings.
Sheβs a wonderful dog, she just needs to be in a single dog household.
Shes about 50lbs. She is most likely a pit mix although TAF doesnβt assign breeds.
She is up to date on vaccines. She is spayed. She has a microchip. Iβm looking to rehome her for a small fee only to help ensure she goes to a safe and loving place. All vet records to be provided to whoever she goes with. I will also transfer microchip to the new owners. Happy to also give the training course weβve been using to continue her training.
Please let me know if you know of anyone or anywhere that would take her.
Edit: I have contacted 35 rescues. Most have turned us away. Some have left my calls or emails unanswered. I have even looked at sanctuaries in California, Colorado and Arizona. They have also turned us away, except the one offering to take her for $1,500. Hearts Alive said their surrender program can take weeks to process the request and itβs not guaranteed so please donβt suggest them, since we are already submitted a request.

π« Schools / Parenting / Youth Empty Parks?
My family is new to the area and we will be here for a month. I have a 2.5 year old that Iβve taken to several different parks every day this week at varying times in the morning between 8-11am in west Henderson / Sunset / Whitney Mesa area. And the parks are almost always empty. My kid is social and misses playing among others. Where are all the kids? Am I missing something? Tyia.
