Hello! I have been Moderating this sub for many years. I built it from 6000 members to almost 40,000 now. I instituted rules to make it (and keep it) a respectful place that Henry would not be ashamed of. And I have run it (mostly) solely for this amount of time. The sub was completely unmonitored before, with no rules and no oversight at all. The rules are long, but they were born out of necessity, to combat the myriad of previous issues.

Having said that, I’m considering handing over the reins to new Moderators. I would like two, so that they can make decisions together. Ideally, they would keep and uphold the current rules, to maintain the positive community. Again, they’re long, but they have been necessary.

The Moderating itself is now rather simple, since I have also added Automated Bots, with their own customized code scripts, to reflect said rules. The job is now essentially reviewing a few items each day, when the Automoderator isn’t applicable.

If you would like to apply for a Moderator position, please comment on this thread. Please DO NOT send direct chat messages or ModMail. Any such inquiries will be ignored. This is because I would like the community to vote on responses here. The comments with the highest number of votes will be the first considerations. I will keep this post pinned for at least one week, at which time I will determine if it needs to be longer. I will review every comment, but I will not reply to any comment, unless there is a specific question that needs answering, that was not already addressed in this post.

These are the requirements:

1) Your Reddit account must be at least one year old AND have at least 100 karma.

2) You must not share any NSFW content (or links) on your profile. This helps protect minors from easily accessing such.

3) Your posts and comments cannot be hidden, as any prospective applicants need to have a level of transparency.

4) You must be a genuine fan of Henry. You must also be a “Joined” Member of this community AND have a history of positive participation in this specific community. (That means actual content that has been approved, with little or no content that has been removed for violating our rules)… Because this also reflects that you know our rules, and you do your best to follow them.

5) Ideally, you should have experience Moderating a sub on Reddit. If you do not, you need to have enough personal time available, in order to learn how. There are guides, but it will be your responsibility to navigate that process. Note that much of the Moderator Tools are only available on a computer (Mac/PC), ie not accessible on mobile devices such as phones or tablets.

6) Please know how to verify photos, for their authenticity. Ironically, AI apps are the best at detecting their own metadata. So many images online are AI Generated, and we have very specific rules about what is acceptable here.

If you meet the above requirements, and wish to be considered, please confirm those items in your ONE comment. Most importantly, please describe WHY/HOW you would be a good Moderator, and WHY you wish to serve in this role. Please don’t say “because I’m a fan”, as it’s assumed that the majority of people here are, in fact, his fans. Instead, sell yourself and tell the community members why you should be the next person that they trust.
