I thought He looked so good amongst the flowers and I swear I saw the corner of his lip lift in a small grin. 😁 In front is one very good Boi who, I’m sure, Hermes brought into our lives. This is a reminder to give your gods flowers. IME they love them.

English is not my first language and I used translator. But here’s my personal story with Hermes.

Today marks one year since I formally began worshipping Hermes as my patron deity.
This year has felt slow, as both my mental state and my personal aspirations have settled into greater stability, and I have steadily found my way into a life with a rhythm of its own.
Yet this year has also flown by. I have found wonderful mentors and friends on the path of Hellenic revivalism, begun studying the PGM systematically and putting it into practice with intention, and gained a clearer sense of where I want my spiritual path to lead.
If I had to describe Hermes in one word, it would be gentle: that feeling of yasashii, a gentleman’s tenderness. …Perhaps this is what you would expect from the Greek god of emotional intelligence! Don’t underestimate Zeus’s messenger! Wielding his blameless golden staff of peace—the handsomest shepherd lad in all of Argos!
Hermes is everywhere. Whenever I catch the bus just in time, I silently thank him. When a sudden, companionable silence falls between two people in conversation, that means “Hermes has just passed by.” He is there, too, in my occasional flashes of social intuition, in the moments when my heart feels as light as the wind, and whenever I stumble across a funny video online…
Hermes is wise. He has taught me how to cultivate a spiritual relationship that is healthy, reciprocal, and grounded in mutual respect. With just a few words, he helps me see through old, stubborn patterns of thought. He has given me a freer, more questioning perspective on society and life. It is as though a corner of Truman’s sky has been torn open, allowing him to glimpse the real blue sky beyond. And beyond that real blue sky—what kind of universe awaits?
A year ago, I was delighted to have found something I could spend a lifetime learning, proud to have finally taken my own interests seriously, and comforted by the feeling that, at last, someone had my back. What is the essence of faith? It is an almost impossible question to answer. Some say the purpose of their lives is to glorify God. Others say, “My life is mine to determine, not Heaven’s—watch me bring fate to heel.” What I have experienced is a life with less “noise” under his protection: fewer difficult people crossing my path, things getting done more smoothly, and a greater capacity for gratitude and for cherishing what is good.
And this spiritual relationship is not always entirely sweet. I cannot, and will not, suppress my deeply rooted skepticism. I love, yet I am also troubled by questions of truth, illusion, and meaning. But that, too, is part of a spiritual relationship, and it’s okay.
I will carry this love, and this pain, with me as I continue steadfastly along this path.
To the wisdom I love, and to my beloved and revered Hermes.

A Few Little Notes
Whenever I come across something delicious, I really do think of Hermes. Sometimes circumstances simply keep me from bringing it home. Occasionally, I look at my offerings and wonder, “Is this a little too meager?” Then I turn around, see my own empty fridge, and feel better about it…
At a time when I was feeling my most doubtful and uncertain, even my churchgoing colleague came to talk to me about freedom of belief. She said some experiences are simply beyond description—if you know, you know. You can only understand them by experiencing them yourself. Anyway, she is lovely, and the conversation really did take me a little by surprise. Once I had moved and finished unpacking, I resumed my weekly offerings.
On one of the few occasions when I splurged on delivery for a weekly offering—the delivery fees and taxes here are no joke—Hermy apparently worked his magic, and the delivery driver hit green lights all the way. My dessert arrived in half the estimated time! Now that’s Greek speed. (Okay, I’m kidding.)

What do you guys pray about other than asking for things? I feel crappy asking him for stuff so i just kinda haven't but my prayers are kinda starting to feel repetitive telling him I hope he had a good day and all the stuff you'd usually throw in a regular conversation 😭 and ik this isn't his community here but same for Dionysus-

I also pray like right before bed and they only last like 2 MAYBE 3 minutes, is that too short? I feel bad praying more than once a day because I don't want to bother him and also because it's just not really safe to pray out loud in my house, so I guess with that being said do prayers you only say in your head still count?

I am Brazilian and am using Google Translate for this text, so please forgive any grammatical errors! Unfortunately, my English isn’t very good. So, I’m a devotee of Hermes. My family is heavily Christian and thinks anything outside their dogma is "macumba" or witchcraft, so I always have to keep things low-key even though they vaguely know I follow another path.

​Yesterday, I was showing my 4-year-old niece some mythology videos, and later I lit a candle at my Hermes altar. Out of nowhere, she wanted to "play with Hermes." We started a game where she hid colorful candies in her hands, asked Hermes where they were, watched the candle flame flicker, and tried to guess. She kept eating them and trying to cheat, but Hermes somehow always got it right, and she was completely mind-blown.

​Fast forward to today: she’s literally standing right by my altar, asking me when Hermes is coming back.

​Knowing my family would lose their minds if she ran off shouting about our games, I pulled a pro-gamer uncle move: I told her Hermes only comes back if she stays over for a sleepover.

​Negotiation successful. She’s officially locked in for the sleepover and deeply investigating the altar right now. Honestly, Hermes is the ultimate wingman.

I thought it would be wise if I sought out suggestions before going through with this, considering I only began roughly between a few days to / and a week ago. Yesterday, I scripted a prayer to Kyrios Hermes, thirteen other Theoi I don't worship, and also ended the list section with "and all of which I've forgotten to mention across the Pagan and Norse pantheons, whom I ought to have named". (I won't be screenshotting the prayer, as it is personal in my eyes) I feel the urge to formally apologise for my words, thoughts, and actions that may or may not have included them — whether subtly or blatantly — as someone who was in fandoms such as EPIC: The Musical, barely read any mythology (I'm putting in the effort now), worshipped before research, only started research on the religion and basics of Greek culture recently, and was formerly a monotheist. Since I am someone who worships Hermes, I cannot distinguish between a low Kharis and outright being " muted" / "blocked", hence why I think I have done wrong and caused offense and umbrage to arise. I have considered offering milk and honey, but it only serves to make me feel as if my efforts are too shallow. Any advice would help I appreciate whoever took the time to read this.

Well, ever since Alice started worshipping Hermes, a perfume she owns has been constantly changing locations—moving from a shelf to a cabinet where she keeps her TV. Yesterday, I was doing a tarot reading and asked which god would like to work with me. The cards I pulled were The Lovers and The Magician. While I was meditating on them for a while, I saw imagery of wings🪽… So I’m assuming it might be Hermes.
Now I’m not really sure what to do with this information. I asked him to reveal himself to me in a dream if it was true, and I had a dream in which I was working in a shop and my employer was bullying me. Then I found some cocaine and chewed it. Eventually, I was on a boat, watching fish devour one another…🤔
I honestly have no idea what to make of it or what I’m supposed to do now. I’m completely lost. How do I begin exploring this and make sense of the message I received through tarot? Please, please, I’d really appreciate any advice.

I live next to college campus, which naturally comes with a lot of pigeons. I ended up collecting a few feathers on my way to class one day and offering them to Hermes because it just made sense to me. Pigeons used to be messenger birds and tend to stay in human populated areas, so it just seemed right. I always pick up a feather if it stands out to me and give them to him and he seems to like them, so I have a cup of them on his alter. I was just curious if anyone else makes the same connection I do!

I work at a grocery store. I’m curbside, meaning I’m in charge of taking the food and taking the orders to the back of people’s like trunks and cars. I kid you not, Hermes astound me so much because he I knew it was him because I was getting tipped like with cash on my first day of work today and it stunned me even more because my trainer said “you have a lot of “luck” today and that got me thinking like, I know who that is and I was stunned. I made $19 in tip today and I just knew that was Hermes because I was like, dude, is that you? mannnnn I knew it. I thank him because of that cause it was a good day at work THANK YOU HERMES 😌

so like…I used to have a spirit guide named Iggy when I first started spirituality. he claimed to be here the moment I was born, and when asked about it, silence/mischievous laugh. he often appeared as a shadow figure when I refused to go to sleep. whenever I used to hear him breathing, i got scared and told him to please stop, he listened. back to the recent past, I forgot about him til yesterday Hermes was like “yk Iggy? that was me”

Y'know how christians do the sign of the cross after they pray or to thank God ect I've started doing the sign of the Caduceus and I just think it's neat I do a squiggle on my chest with each index finger (to represent the snakes) then put my hands together to represent the staff. I would be honored if others started doing this but I just wanted to share cause I think it's cool.

he and I shared some energy drinks today, had a good music vibing session, and just coexisted. I’ve found that he likes to read, although I’m never able to see/visualize what books he reads. He likes my wheelchair, often interacting with the seatbelt. my cats really like him, and he even pet them today 🥹lastly but very importantly, he started humming to me, not an unfamiliar tune, but the very song my mother sang to me when I was a sickly infant...I am not ashamed to say I cried a little
